Eeeek so in the next day were gunna have a natural labour an induction and an elcs! This truly is a jump start to births and I won't lie, I'm jealous!!

I'm so tired today I had about 4 wee's last night and dd woke up for the toilet and a nose wipe (she has a cold too) and its very rare for her to wake in the night so I'm shattered. I spent about an hour crying ok the sofa this morning as we had no nice food, no nice drinks, I was itching everywhere and I re assembled the material bits to the Moses basket I brought second hand early in the pregnancy as I had washed it all and now it doesn't fit back on there perfectly and its upsetting me.

Glad some maternity leave issues have been resolved xx
To those being 'bored' on maternity leave I no it sounds like an old cliche but really do make the most of it!

legally how r u feeling about tommorow? I'm so excited for u!!!!

My buggy should be delivered tommorow as well as car seat and isofix I'm so excited :-)

textbook · 09/09/2013 15:40

Wow, good luck Falcon - hoping all progresses as planned! Can't wait to see pics of Willow Grin Good luck to Legally and skull for tomorrow too. It's all getting so real...

Baaah, haven't felt as much movement as usual today so off to be monitored at 4:30. Bloody Peter Andre was at my hospital this morning apparently for some TV thing, hoping he's buggered off well before I arrive...

Natalieand · 09/09/2013 15:42

smitten dh and I dtd the other day for the first time in god knows how long, it was a bit orquad I felt like I could hardly move I felt like I could hardly breath he kept asking if I was on but I thought saying no the baby's suffocating me would be a bit of a passion killer lol. Think if we do happen to dtd again before the birth it will just be a Quicky purely for getting labour started purposes lol

Natalieand · 09/09/2013 15:42

Asking if I was OK

claphammama · 09/09/2013 15:46

sparkeleigh I believe you are in exactly the same sector as me so I bet you also get a lot of "awesomeness"! ana trust me, in our type of companies people put "awesome" everywhere but I agree, it's a small and special world we are referring to and not representative of everything.

flyer I believe ana is Canadian and, likewise, also didn't mean to offend anyone!! My DP is half American although born here and the essence of Britishness...

pink I lost my plug the day before giving birth. I sat on the toilet and heard "plop" and saw it in the water. It looked exactly like mucus and it was bigger than I expected. Are you sure you are losing it? Or could it just be thicker than usual discharge?

JellyCurls · 09/09/2013 15:52

Pink I have been passing chunks of mucus for past three weeks, mw says this can happen and even if pass whole clump it can regenerate. With DD I passed plug day before I had her and with DS it was on day I had him

cherrycherry41 · 09/09/2013 15:53

falcon go for a long walk and good luck!! Grin

Smitten1981 · 09/09/2013 15:58

Nat asking if you were 'on' - ha ha! Glad you corrected that.

I feel like it'd be too much of an ordeal now as last time we did it a few weeks back he said he felt like he was squashing the baby and didn't like it. I think it freaks him out a bit, so fair enough.

cuillereasoupe · 09/09/2013 16:21

Fingers crossed falcon!

I'm sitting at home being crafty, cutting up an old cornflakes packet to make a stencil to replace the fifty quid one DP bought. Mine is much better obviously Grin. At least it's made with love!

Slippysnow · 09/09/2013 16:22

Wow so many baby developments good luck, keep active and calm (like I know what I'm talking about! I read the books )

I may have completely made this up, but is this fact or fiction. Can your ribs break during pregnancy to accommodate the baby? Despite being 'average' sized according to measurements, tiny according to passers by. I have a really painful rib up high, under my boob, it hurts even more when I cough.

pinkbuttons · 09/09/2013 16:25

Thanks Clapham and jelly wasn't too worried as not convinced that was what it was just crossed my mind. Glad to hear it can regenerate. Is like very very thick discharge I guess but like clumps of it and very stretchy sorry probably far tmi... Guess it doesn't matter too much either way if it doesn't mean Im about to pop.

smitten I seem to have developed the hormonal madness that everyone else seemed to have in the second trimester and now cant get enough. We did have one awkward moment last night though where baby gave DH a proper good kick whist in missionary position so had to change position Blush Think DH is just trying to make the most of it before baby is born and I will be a no go zone again.

Hope all is ok textbook and baby just being a monkey. Also hope Peter Andre is gone but only because it will be madness if he hasn't, I cant help but quite like him.

pinkbuttons · 09/09/2013 16:27

slippy I have been having really bad rib pain on my right side too. Don't know about if ribs can break but one of mine is sticking out further than all of the others at the moment right where its painful. Assumed a foot must have got at it and stretched the muscles but am by no means an expert.

Slippysnow · 09/09/2013 16:32

Sounds just like mine pink sorry you are sharing my uncomfort.

Top tip, don't google images mucus plug.

OrangeBlossom2 · 09/09/2013 16:34

DH also worries about squashing the baby when dtd and I am getting heavy so I squash him! He said he is looking forward to no bump sex again Sad although went to great lengths to say he still found me attractive etc etc it is a bit of an effort now and not great for either of us. I get out of breath and need water breaks! pinkbuttons I get Braxton hicks afterwards too. Probably wont bother again until 37 weeks and wanting to get things moving!

Textbook I hope all is ok and your baby starts wiggling around as soon as they start monitoring.

Excitedly looking forward to hearing updates from skull, falcon and legally tomorrow!

Flyer I am jealous of you finishing early. I am not sure I can last another 4 weeks at work, I was so tired today, my pgp is really painful and boss had a go about me missing a meeting after work today for antenatal appointment. Grr I booked the last appointment of the day so I didn't miss learning time and its been in the school diary for weeks, what more does she want? I could barely get on the bed at my 34 week MW appointment this afternoon. Worked out how much I earn each day and holding on to that. Have also printed off a blank timetable to fill in what I am doing each day so I don't get overwhelmed and can rip off a page each week.

All fine at MW appointment, bump a bit small this time, but then she just moved further down my public bone to get the measurement she was expecting and so is only 1cm under now. I don't think it is worth worrying over as so inaccurate and baby was exactly average at scan two. Weeks ago but just used it as an excuse to have a bowl of cereal and a couple of crumpets when I got home.

Natalie no cravings here either. Feel a bit boring when people ask, feel like I should invent some crazy combination to tell people.

I asked midwife about raspberry leaf tea and she said not until 37 weeks. Weird that they all give different advice.

cuillereasoupe · 09/09/2013 16:37

now cant get enough

That's been me for the past few months weeks. It's the only thing that cures my insomnia.

I don't think raspberry tea has reached France yet! I might ask my mum to send some over.

OrangeBlossom2 · 09/09/2013 16:38

slippy I hadn't ever thought to until you mentioned it but then I had to! Ugh why would so many people post pictures of their mucous plugs online?!

claphammama · 09/09/2013 16:56

I just googled images of mucus plug - you said we shouldn't so I had to Grin Looks familiar

orange I literally laughed out loud at your water breaks. haha
and how you people manage missionary position these days I have no idea... Also sounds like your work are being a nightmare again... she can't tell you off for taking time off for antenatal appointments! deep breaths and count the days

Talking about work and terrible managers... I've just discovered that the HR director who is visiting from the US this week came here especially to meet my team to discuss our manager and Upward Feedback Survey results... so we all have one to one meetings with her. We do this Upward Feedback survey every year where we review our managers - I'm surprised how quickly they are acting on this one and I'm curious to know how bad it must have been for them to fly a senior HR person over from the US... but I'm glad all this negativity about my team wasn't just me and my stupid hormones!

HeffalumpTheFlump · 09/09/2013 16:56

slippy and pink my nan was telling me how she broke a rib when coughing during her pregnancy with my uncle. So it is possible. Just keep an eye though because pain under the rib can be a sign of pre eclampsia. If you are worried at all definitely get it checked out.

Ugh heartburn like a bitch today. I keep going to throw up where the acid is coming up my throat. Yuck!

MotherOfNations · 09/09/2013 17:10

So excited for you falcon. I'm quite jealous that I'll never have the anticipation of waiting for labour to start.

I went to bed with agonising back pains last night but thankfully they were gone by this morning. I was a bit worried as back pain was how labour started with ds. No dtd last night because I was so sore.
I've noticed after dtd that bump seems to be all to my right hand side like she's tried to move out of the way.
Really sore under my ribs where it still feels like she's trying to force her head through my abdomen.

OrangeBlossom2 · 09/09/2013 17:11

Confused at broken ribs!

I did wonder if I had broken mine when I was coughing lots with pneumonia but I think I had just pulled the muscles between them. How the pain improves for you a bit when the baby drops.

MotherOfNations · 09/09/2013 17:13

Too tired to compose a post in full sentences. Sorry.

PseudoBadger · 09/09/2013 17:42

Hope all is ok textbook x

tuckingfits · 09/09/2013 18:38

Hope your monitoring went well textbook.

Head of HR appears to be ignoring my calls... Tomorrow is another day.

chickieno1 · 09/09/2013 18:50

Hope you're alright textbook

We either have to keep this thread open till we get babies tomorrow or start a new one ASAP! We have 100 more posts and don't want to miss legally, skull, falcon or nelly s baby announcements!!

HeffalumpTheFlump · 09/09/2013 19:12
