Hi hi - MrsShrubs I think I'm down for a growth scan later on as my measurements are veering a little towards the higher scale.
Feather it's a shame they wouldn't give you pics, just as a nice thing - even one would have been nice, just to have.

Just had an awesome MW appointment - had the really bouncy one who just makes you feel good about your pregnancy and like your own personal cheerleader. I've passed the GTT with flying colours! Woo! Biscuit Been so worried about that as I'm quite high risk for it.
Also, BP and iron were all good and the antibiotics for the kidney infection kicked in on Sunday and I don't feel so crap anymore. Plus junior is head down and kicking away happily in the space he's made.

Now all I've got to overcome is a ton of bruises as I maanged to fall down the stairs on Sat night. My back, right side, arm and leg look like a Van Gogh painting. Made putting together the cotbed and wardrobe interesting but we've managed to assemble it and now I feel like we have a nursery of sorts.

Awww that sucks feather I never got any pictures of ds2 growth scans, but they did give me a picture of my 28 week growth scan this time, I wasn't expecting one so was very happy about that.

stom its awful having to worry about money when pregnant, we are going to have to forget about the double buggy as we just can't afford one and all the decent small enough ones I would need to get on the bus are like £500 and over Shock I think I'm going to get one of those baby carriers that leave you hands free then at least if I need to bus it with 3 kids then I can strap ds3 to me while ds1 walks and ds2 is n the buggy Confused

Is it too late to panic about having 3 kids? Lol

whisper that must have been so lovely to receive from your friends.

mrs I get extra growth scans as my first baby weighed 5lb 6 oz, I'm not sure but I think feather gave birth at 32 weeks last time, I'm not sure though.

Omg bohemian are you ok after your fall? Did you get checked out?

I had my GTT test Friday gone and I haven't heard back so I'm assuming I've past as they said they'd only be in touch if something was wrong.

I've got my GTT test tomorrow! Not looking forward to it. Going to drink the lucozade from a straw so I don't taste it lol...
I worked out what mw has done. I didnt have a blood test at. My 28 week app last week because she's put it on the form for them to do tomorrow while they take blood for the GTT.. Thats way I've only got to be stabbed once (twice is the usual for me as my veins don't like giving blood lol)

don't forget to take something to read or do while you have the two hour sit around storm me and DP took the iPad and watched some stuff we had downloaded.

I still haven't managed to have my 28 week bloods done. Couldnt do it at my mw appointment on monday as the vein was bruised from the GTT and then had an appointment to do it today and it refused to give any blood. I now have to go to the hospital some time this week or next and get them to do it. Such a bloody hassle!

Had the Anti D injection today which hurt my arm really aches now too Sad

Hope you're ok Bohemian

i'm having extra scans for growth as DD was just 6 pounds (which I didn't think was particularly small but apparently just 2nd centile)

They are reassuring, and it's nice to see her on screen, I haven't been given any pics but don't think they would be any good anyway as its all diameter of skull, thigh bone etc rather than a whole baby!

Did ask sonographer on the last one to double check that she hadn't grown any boy parts, would have been a lot of stuff to take back Grin

Have had the day off today as it's a bank holiday up here but have been too tired to do half of the jobs I had planned. Have ironed all the baby clothes though, they are so cute!

Had my whooping cough jab and 28wk blood tests today so am being pathetic over my sore left arm! DD had her preschool boosters a few weeks ago, and she was so much braver than me!

frouby dd had chicken pox back in April or May when I was just a few weeks pg - I had cp myself a few weeks ago but checked with the midwife and they were fine with it as I had already had it. Did you speak to your mw today?

Had a nightmare consultant appointment which has taken the wind right out of my sails after awesome scan (which I'm having because DS was born 8 weeks prem although was 90th centile, MrsShrubs). Got a registrar instead of my lovely consultant, who argued with me about a section for 45 minutes. I was able to counter every objection with research-based, statistical reasons why I still thought a section would be better, and told her unless she could guarantee an intact perineum with no trauma to ureteric or anal sphincters following an episiotomy and instrument-free vaginal delivery, I wanted a section. She actually said that they may have no choice in certain circumstances but to do epi/forceps, to which I replied that if that did happen because I'd been forced (and I used that word) against my will to deliver vaginally, I would make a complaint of assault against the doctor that did it. She eventually buggered off to get my consultant to come and talk to me, but returned looking sheepish with a note in my records from consultant saying I was to have exactly what I'd said I wanted in the first place.

I bet after all this NotGeorge holds on until 39 weeks and is delivered via a lovely planned cs on 28th November! How utterly awesome would that be?! So, tomorrow I'll be able to say I'm having a baby next month!

Ok I have well and truly knackered my pelvis now. Both front and back pain was getting worse so a week ago I asked for a physio referral. I've been doing very little to aggravate things - no walking, driving etc - and it's been bearable. But today I went to see my very pregnant friend (so fair enough me going to her) - so 300 yard walk, bus and train then the reverse has managed to lead to my right SI joint locking.... I am now in agony!

Checked the physio website and referral should take 1-2 weeks with clinics on a Wednesday... So as I've heard nowt I'm assuming I'm screwed until at least next week. Might ring tomorrow and just check they've got my referral. I could cry. Feeling very sorry for myself.

By the way this thread is nearly full...

whisper I haven't got the 2 hour wait as such...

I was told to buy my own lucozade so I drink that at my house at 730am and then get to the hospital by 9am to have bloods taken at 930am.. I'll have to leave at 8 to get to the hospital by 9 so I'll be in the car anyway x

Evening all.

Stom, you have my sympathy regarding money worries; DP is bailing me out quite a bit at the moment which I have never ever had in my life so I hate it but I have had to accept that I'm skint for various reasons associated with my pregnancy and hey he put the LO in there. I hope the new haircut cheers you up!

Whisper that is such a kind thing of your friends to do for you. No wonder you cried. As for your birthday I think a day of being pampered and being allowed to just please yourself sounds like heaven - if you could get a full night's sleep too...bliss!

I've just got back from Mothercare where I've bought a pregnancy pillow - not sure if it will help me sleep better but I am clinging to the hope it will. Has anyone else used them?

It helps that he takes a colleague into work and he gives him £80 towards petrol a month he should get that tomorrow so it's a help.
And family have offered to finish off buying some of the stuff we need.. My younger brother's just got a job and he's even offered to buy a few boxes of nappies bless him and dad too

I think we will get there... Like dp said dd will all be worth it x

We get another scan in 2 1/2 weeks too cause of the bleed I had. Not too sure why since his growth was bang on and no complications before or since but hey ho we get to see bambino again :)
Money's gonna be a worry for us once I finish work since it could take a month or so for MA to come through so am dreading that. OH keeps running round buying GTA and FIFA and I'm like "argh we need to save" lol
