Oh Hetsto, I'm so sorry. Sad

13loki · 25/09/2013 09:14

Hesto, so sorry.

weechops · 25/09/2013 09:32

Hetsto I'm so so sorry for you. Lots of love to you and your dp xxx

itsliz · 25/09/2013 09:38

Hetsto, I read the post on your other thread last night and have been struggling to find the words to say to you ever since. I'm still not sure what to say as I can't even begin to imagine how you and your DP must be feeling right now, but I am so, so truly sorry for your losses. No-one should ever have to go through something like that, especially not someone as genuinely lovely as you Sad

As frouby said, just know that you're still just as much of a part of this thread as ever and we're all here to support you and provide hugs whenever you feel you might need us.

In the meantime, please take care of yourself. Sending you and your DP lots of love and hugs xxxx

mumoftwoboysS · 25/09/2013 09:40

hetsto have posted on your other thread too. Thinking of you- everything else seems so trivial now...life can be so cruel....

frouby I'm in major nesting mode too and want to re-do everything it's so frustrating. Need to keep clearing out our office today as can't wait to start painting it. My mum asked why I don't just move ds2 to the new room as his room still looks like a nursery but tbh I'm just so sick of his room too- he needs it updating- another project for next year!

Stom91 · 25/09/2013 13:56

Just had my 28 week check... I'm spot on got my dates... And I've only. Put on 4kgs :)

I have to have the GD test next week :( was hoping I'd get away with it :( xx

mumoftwoboysS · 25/09/2013 14:04

What's that in lbs and stone? I've put on nearly 1 1/2 stone already! But most of it was when I was feeling sick in 1st tri and ate tons of carbs.

kchapper5 · 25/09/2013 14:16

Exercise ball is working wonders thank you lady

I've put on a stone at 26 + 1 to be honest though you can barely tell most people seem to think I'm 3 months pregnant not nearly 6 lots of ooo isn't your bump small comments Hmm

Stom91 · 25/09/2013 14:23

According to Google it's 8 lbs.. Though i feel like I've put on 8 stone lol

LadyMedea · 25/09/2013 14:47

I didn't get weighed at my 28 week check... And I'm not weighing myself at home. Don't think I've gained excessively as I still look pretty much the same just with a bump.

As far as I can tell from the research (continuing my role on this thread as research nerd) unless you are obese already it doesn't matter two figs what you put on in pregnancy as it makes no difference as a risk factor for you or bubs. So generally not one to worry about.
Yippee! [Grin]

Im still feeling so sad for hesto... Bless her and her DP.

Featherbag · 25/09/2013 15:24

I stopped weighing myself at 2 stone on Hmm But I honestly cannot WAIT to get stuck back into the gym and weight watchers once this baby's out!

Stom91 · 25/09/2013 15:28

Me neither I can't afford the gum but I found the x box kindect just as good as a gym work out lol

NomDeClavier · 25/09/2013 17:09

It's not quite accurate that you can put in as much as you want and it doesn't change the risk - there does come a point where it would affect mobility, heart rate, blood pressure etc and that is a risk. The difference between 5 and 15kg over the pregnancy is minimal risk (unless only putting on 5 means baby hasn't gained enough) but 25kg is far too much for most women. I could ill afford to put on practically 50% of my pre-pregnancy body weight. It would impact on all sorts of things. As long as you know your body and it's going on belly and boobs your weight gain is likely to be proportionate and not a risk. Anyway you'll drop 5-10kg in the delivery room Wink

Stom91 · 25/09/2013 17:13

On Tuesday I have my GD test.. So blood test and my whooping cough and flu jab... Going to feel like a pin cushion by the end of the day! Lol :(
All in a good cause I suppose lol.

mumoftwoboysS · 25/09/2013 17:17

Yeah I was borderline average/underweight before I got pregnant so not worried about weight gain - I actually look better, some curves- yay! Also looking fwd to getting fit after tho- feel so lazy ESP as DH does tons of sports!

Everyone tells me I'm all bump but I can see the bigger wobblier legs and thighs! We're just lucky we're going to be heavily pregnant in winter- we can wrap up and hide any lumps and bumps Smile.

Got my new compression shorts on- they look hideous - like those spanx pants but cycling short length, but have given loads of relief with my veins. They're actually for anti-cellulite and draining excess fluid- would reccomendif any of you are suffering from varicose veins (tops of legs or those other 'regions')

MildredH · 25/09/2013 17:49

I've put on 2kg so far although I was a bit overweight before pregnancy and I think prob have lost a little weight elsewhere to balance the bump.. Pretty convinced its giving up the booze- I liked a nightly glass of wine, and a few at the weekend. Food for thought post bubba if I want to keep weight down!!

Just been to GP about asking for iron and sciatica pain. GP was about 100 years old. Told me to buy the iron.. Fine although a bit frustrating as it would usually be prescribed and therefore free.. When I asked about the pain- I said I'd spoken to a physio at work who suggested a referral to them and prob mbenefit from a support belt. She just poo-poo'd it and said- oh that'll make you uncomfortable.

Argh. It's so hard- as a doctor going to see another doctor as a patient you never want to tell them their job and its so hard to be assertive and get what you want.

Her solution was time off work as I'm on my feet all day on the ward.

So frustrated. Left work early- no solution to back pain and £8.99 lighter for the iron. Grrrr Angry.

everythinghippie29 · 25/09/2013 18:00

Hello! Due Dec 6th so thought I would join you lovely ladies.

Woke up this morning practically crippled with lower leg cramps and had to pain shuffle to the loo but otherwise remain deadly still all day today.

I do feel better for a day of resting up but suspect my ever expanding waistline is no longer all baby. Wink

I just walked to the bathroom and the cat fled in terror at the prospect of being crushed under my stomping feet, prompting DP to shout 'Godzirrraaa' at the top of his lungs. I may have to sit on him as punishment. If only he hadn't offered to finish painting the nursery later...

Hope the rest of you are comfortable as can be and are getting more excited by the day!

Stom91 · 25/09/2013 18:44

Welcome everything :)

I would sit on my dp too if he said that to me hha
Though my dp comes out with 'Omg you're massive.. The baby, I mean.. The baby's getting big'.. Lol

Did anyone have to buy their own lucozade for the GD test? I've been told I have to buy my own!

Roselau · 25/09/2013 19:04

well my scale was taken away in the move 2 weeks ago, so no idea what I'm at. I had gained 10lbs by 25 wks though, and I've gotten much bigger, so assuming a stone is about right. ah well, I'm also being told it's all bump and massive bazongas so I'm not worrying too much (although I can tell my behind is getting bigger too apparently others are too polite to agree).

Off to Paris tomorrow for last business trip. only 7 business days before mat leave (but who's counting).

Roselau · 25/09/2013 19:05

and speaking of sitting on DP - i sent mine a pic of the bump today and he told me I looked as wide as I'm tall...

WhisperMen · 25/09/2013 19:08

When I had my GD test they had about 6 big bottles of lucozade on the side. Weird that you have to buy your own Storm

Welcome everything

I have spent my day baking mickey and minnie mouse cookies and now my back is really sore. I forget that I can't stand up doing things all day like I used to.

Had my 28week appointment on Monday. Was meant to have my anti D injection, but they had apparently delivered it to the wrong health centre. Midwife is coming to my flat next week some time to give it me. Also having my bloods taken then as my one vein that can be used for taking blood was all bruised from my GD test last friday. Pregnancy sure makes you feel like a pin cushion!

Roselau · 25/09/2013 19:17

welcome everything
i had horrible leg pains earlier this week and still get spasms at night but it's feeling a bit better. i went to yoga and stretched a lot. hope you feel better soon.

uploaded a new pic today! it's fun to see the difference with two weeks ago.

PistachioTruffle · 25/09/2013 19:33

Welcome Everything Smile

I'd put on 8lb at 28 weeks, all on bump and boobs so far, although I have gained cellulite on my thighs that was never there before Shock They don't look any bigger, but now they're dimply!

Apparently I don't have to have the GD test unless my blood test comes back high, so I'm keeping my gingers crossed that my cake habit doesn't come back to bite me on the bum!

mumoftwoboysS · 25/09/2013 20:23

Ok now i feel like a heiffer- I seem to have put on more weight than anyone! I'm getting so much movement the last day or so! It's so lovely- feeling baby's arms and legs below my skin, my tummy rippling like a pond! I know I've done this twice before but still amazes me Smile

2Labradors · 25/09/2013 20:48

hesto I'm so sorry to hear your news. I just cannot imagine what you're going through.
