Just stumbled into this bit of mn for the first time! Due with my first (a surprise) on 3 Dec -do I need anything else to join?

MsCatShoes · 08/09/2013 18:37

Welcome stinkerboo - just hang around and share stories, bitch and generally celebrate having a little munchkin on the way Smile

clare we're on roast pork this afternoon - really looking forward to it

DaleyBump · 08/09/2013 18:37

Welcome stinker :) would you like to join the Facebook group? We've only just got it started so it's still a little empty :p

Sounds great clare, love buying baby stuff!

Stom91 · 08/09/2013 18:37

Welcome stinkerboo we are a friendly bunch here :)

Stom91 · 08/09/2013 18:38

Jealous of the roast dinners!!

DaleyBump · 08/09/2013 18:43

I'm starting to worry about pre-eclampsia, I've been seeing flashing lights and black spots, my hands and feet have been swelling and I've been getting a lot a headaches. Not huge swelling though, and the headaches go away eventually but it's starting to worry me.

Stom91 · 08/09/2013 18:48

Give you mw a call. Better to put your mind at rest

DaleyBump · 08/09/2013 18:55

I might later on, it's just that I've been up four times already for various reasons and the last time I was there the MW told me to go away and said I was making a fuss about nothing. I wasn't making a fuss and I'd only had two movements the whole day, of course I wasn't going to go away. I've had a couple of bad experiences up there, I don't think they'll take me seriously.

Stom91 · 08/09/2013 19:00

Your pregnant and you know your own body. If you think there's something wrong they should check you out. Is there another place you could go or ring? Xx

DaleyBump · 08/09/2013 19:10

Nah, I've never had an answer from the community midwifes when I've called. I have my 28 week appointment tomorrow, I might just leave it until then.

NomDeClavier · 08/09/2013 19:23

They should be checking for PE at your appointment anyway so definitely mention it if you do decide to leave it until tomorrow.

If someone can send me a PM I'll PM my name for the FB group but my phone doesn't like initiating PMs. But replying is fine (go figure).

Hello stinker!

I love yoga trousers for lounging around at home. I'm feeling totally uninspired by actual maternity clothes.

Friend of mine had a baby boy today! Can't wait until she gets home so I can have squishy newborn cuddles.

DaleyBump · 08/09/2013 19:32

I will, thanks Nom :)

DaleyBump · 08/09/2013 19:37

Also, I'll message you when I get home to add you to the group :)

CryingGivesMeAHeadache · 08/09/2013 19:40

jealous of you guys having roasts. I ended up with pasta as I have nothing else in. I did have left over apple crumble for pudding though.

hope you start feeling better Daley, I would mention it to your midwife just to be sure.

welcome to the new person, I have completely forgotten your name and am on my phone so can't check.

LadyMedea · 08/09/2013 20:02

daley don't leave it to tomorrow. Get to you maternity assessment/triage now... Those are the classic symptoms of PE.

Can I recommend that every household should have a blood pressure monitor? They are not expensive and give really accurate readings...

I've ended up with pot noodle.. Emergency food haha need to go shopping!

Where does spd affect usually? My left hip is killing me! Really hope it's not the start of spd :(

Stom91 · 08/09/2013 20:44

Half of my molar has just disintegrated :( I don't even eat sugary things :'( and i hate dentists with a passion :(

DaleyBump · 08/09/2013 21:05

Thanks Lady, on my way just now. :)

Aw Stom :( that could mean that you're not getting enough calcium, the wee one will be taking your stores from your bones and teeth. Make sure you're drinking enough milk and eating enough dairy. Sorry about your tooth :(

Stom91 · 08/09/2013 21:18

I don't like milk. So i try to eat alot of yogurt but too many give me tummy ache.

Let us know what the docs say! X

clare8allthepies · 08/09/2013 21:28

Hope everything's ok Daley Thanks

StinkerBoo · 08/09/2013 21:30

Hi everyone!

What should I search for to find the fb group?

daleybump shocked that a midwife said that to you. Been to my antenatal drop-in twice with reduced movements (although the second time was three days after a car crash) and they were lovely, told me to come back as often as I needed and scanned me to reassure us - even booked us in for another at 34wk. Really crap it's not the same for you.

Stom91 · 08/09/2013 21:48

Its a secret group so you cant search it. If you inbox me or daley we add u as a friend then add u into it :)

5ammy · 08/09/2013 22:45

I want to join the Facebook group but don't think I can private message on my phone... Anyone know how? Or do I need to boot up my laptop?

mumoftwoboysS · 08/09/2013 23:00

DH finished in 11hours 40! He wanted to do sub 12 hours so was happy if a tad exhasted!! So proud of him! And we had Chinese for dinner since it was really late and he had a huge appetite! I had a hotdog earlier too whilst watching the race, now I feel gross eating all that crap! Confused

Bloody bump so itchy with a horrid rash. Wish I'd never put that cream on it...

daley hope it's nothing to worry about -best to contact them sooner rather than later to be safe

abcdemma · 08/09/2013 23:09

Hope all's ok Daley and hey Stinker
Serving roast dinners at work all evening and now I'd kill for one! Same happened last weekend so I had 2 carveries in 2 days.... heaven :)
