Brighton great news. The air hump ain't dignified though is it! maybes ..I'm off to the seraphine website...if it's good enough for K Middy. ..Wink

TotalShock · 04/09/2013 23:38

That's great new Brighton. That sounds just like us getting to our scan!

PramQueen1971 · 04/09/2013 23:42

Thank you, Jolls, for your information. When we were in rehab the landlord to this house offered to take us recovering alkies in after we had completed our nine-month programme (he and the rehab manager were mates). Since then all the residents have moved on and only th'usband and I remain rattling around this sixteen-bedroom house. We didn't pay deposits and our landlord has surely made nothing from the pittance we have been paying him for rent. We have proper contracts and everything. He now wished to raze this place to the ground and build six houses in its plaice. Furry muff. However, he has only ever given me verbal notice of when he wants to bulldoze (mid-end of September), so I am very safe he for at least another two months - if he ever serves me with a Notice Seeking Possession - if I should wish to stay, which I don't.

H&M maternity cargo pants and boyfriend jeans update: they're shit and hang off your arse.

Cowboy boot update: the stupid, cheap and uncomfortable bastards are going back for a refund. What. Was. I. Thinking?

NoMaybeAboutIt · 04/09/2013 23:47

Oh no Pram! How disappointing Sad

Great news Brighton!

What is all this bounty folder talk?

brightonbeachbaby14 · 04/09/2013 23:54

Maybe- at my booking in appointment the midwife gave me a bounty folder, it's just got bits of crap in it really, leaflets etc

NoMaybeAboutIt · 05/09/2013 00:00

I just got handed my notes as they were!! Wink

Coolhand · 05/09/2013 00:13

Just catching up. Belated Happy Birthday Lyra!

Jolls glad things have settled down - good luck for scan tmrw.

Ice agree with everyone else - think the panic is natural. Like all of us who will be adjusting to families of 1,2,3,4 and 5, you'll probs feel overwhelmed a bit at start and wonder how you'll ever manage to get out of house at decent hour and then it will gradually click into place. My DS will be 2 and 3 months and every so often I have an utter panic day!

On boobs, I agree with whoever said it's luck of the draw. My friend had massive boobs which just disappeared after breastfeeding - she is 3 cup sizes smaller than her pre-pregnancy boobs. Others are less affected! A bit like stretch marks I guess!

x0gawjus0x · 05/09/2013 06:38

apprenticemamma · 05/09/2013 06:40

gawjus he's being an arse. You have every right to feel Angry so vent away (((hugs))) we are here. Do you have any supportive friends nearby? x

SoSurprised · 05/09/2013 06:41

gawjus that sounds awful.

I have been having a really tough week at work. Came home crying everyday and really tempted to call in sick today but have some left over work that needs to be done. I am very stressed. It took me so long to get pregnant and I can't even enjoy this time :(

FrankelInFoal · 05/09/2013 06:49

Jumping in with a quick question, does anyone know if it is safe to take diarrhoea relief tablets when pregnant? I've woken up with a shocking stomach and have to leave at 8am with a four hour drive ahead of me! I don't have time to go to a chemist to get an alternative. I've read the label and there is nothing to say not for use when pregnant, but I still want to check.

HotCrossPun · 05/09/2013 07:09

Gaw Is this the same guy who doesn't like you having a FB page? He sounds like a twat. Angry

Aw So Thanks

Can you go and see your doctor? If you are feeling stressed and upset then it's best for you to rest and try and take it easy. Poor thing Brew

Joll Best of luck with your scan today, let us know how you get on!

Tis my scan today too. DP is gutted he can't make it. Sad We listened to the heartbeat together last night though, twas pretty amazing Smile

HotCrossPun · 05/09/2013 07:11

Frankel It says online that it is fine, providing the diarrhoea isn't bloody.

FrankelInFoal · 05/09/2013 07:13

Thanks HotCross, that's what I thought but wanted to see if anyone had been told otherwise by their Dr. I'll wait till just before I leave to decide if I'll take them as I've gone a while without rushing to the loo!

Good luck for your scan today.

SoSurprised · 05/09/2013 07:39

Good luck with your scan HotCross it's amazing seeing the little baby inside oblivious to all the hullabaloo around it.

I will see the GP on sat, I am barely able to eat and at 14 weeks have lost 15 lbs from my pre-pregnancy weight and still losing.

Joll good luck with your scan too

Beccadugs · 05/09/2013 07:51

Sorry frank hope you read this in time. I was advised not to take ghem, no real reason given, but apparently they can mask other symptoms which can lead to dehydration etc.

commsgirl · 05/09/2013 07:55

Gaw That sounds awful, I'm so sorry he's not being supportive. Rant away!

Surprised Definitely worth seeing your GP, sounds like you need a rest.

Good luck for your scans today Hot and Jol

lumpylumps · 05/09/2013 08:01

Did anyone see my Question about the Doppler????

brightonbeachbaby14 · 05/09/2013 08:09

I'm eating fecking crisps for breakfast, today's going to be a bad day

Rockchick1984 · 05/09/2013 08:09

What question Lumps?

Mmmmmm... Paul Hollywood is the best thing about the Bake-off!!

Good luck for today's scans!!

Frank I was also told by gp not to take immodium stuff but no idea why not!

HotCrossPun · 05/09/2013 08:17

Yes Rock, Hollywood is a hunk. Equally appealing is the fact that he could whip you up a nice batch of cinnamon buns afterwards Grin

MummyPig24 · 05/09/2013 08:35

Good luck to those having scans today!

Gaw I think I would have told him to fuck off too! What an arse!

Dd has her home visit from her new teachers today, can't believe she starts foundation next week. My baby is growing up!!

LyraSilvertongue · 05/09/2013 08:38

Rock, it's those eyes Grin

Lumpy, sorry, I meant to reply. I guess if an anterior placenta can muffle kicks then it can maybe stop you hearing the heartbeat clearly with a Doppler. I guess you'd pick up the sound of the placenta instead. I think it might be a case of keep trying and see what happens.

Gawjus, your man is very out of order. Tell him he needs to grow up. If he's like this now, what will he be like when the baby comes and you're exhausted from sleepless nights and unable to have sex because you've just squeezed a melon put of a hole the size of a lime. You and him need to have serious words.

Good luck scanees, esp Jolls. Hope you've had no more bleeding.
