I think I'll buy it, then Smile I'm finding wrap dresses very comfy with my fat belly. I'm wearing one now that's not maternity and quite short and I expect it will start to look obscene as my bump gets bigger.

apprenticemamma · 04/09/2013 21:39

I'm all about the dresses at the moment. So comfy! Boo to waistbands. You've inspired me to look for a dress for wedding next Friday . Been dreading it but there's some decent stuff out there. Recommendations this way ladies!

TotalShock · 04/09/2013 22:06

Haven't been on since last night and this thread moves so fast! Thank you for all your support

Happy birthday Lyra!

Joll glad it's nearly stopped and hope the scan goes well tomorrow

Brighton how did your scan go?

Pram I hope he didn't cause you too much stress

PramQueen1971 · 04/09/2013 22:12

Lyra, I love Diane Von Furstenberg wrap dresses and that Next one is lovely. Buy it.

Darling Jolls, this is good news and I'm praying your scan will be a time for joy tomorrow x

Someone needs to tell Mary Berry that she is far too old to wear false lashes, jeans and acid brights. Also, the next time Howard goes jogging in that manner and in that outfit someone should drag him into a bush and bum him into next week.

Midwives on BBC2: that Gazelle bird and her husband had me literally agog. I've never seen such passive-aggressive co-dependency. Notwithstanding the need for him to translate for her he was creepily controlling. I didn't see her performance as 'brave'; just dumbly martyred. Thank goodness I'm in a perfect relationship HmmGrin

PramQueen1971 · 04/09/2013 22:13

Thanks, Total. Would you believe that extra half a tablet this afternoon blew all my stresses away?

PramQueen1971 · 04/09/2013 22:16

I was finking about the Mel & Sue duo and I think we should all take a second to feel very grateful that it's not Holly Slagoughby and Davina McTwat telling us how trifle was invented. Or Tess Daly. Or Claudia 'Absurd Kiddie-Fringe' Winkletits. Grr.

Lottie345 · 04/09/2013 22:20

Just catching up on the thread from today. jolls thinking of you and sending super positive vibes and hugs.

pram can you get any help from CAB or pro bono lawyers or even your local paper? Fuckwit landlord.

lyra great dress. Hope you've had a great day.

Having a follow up scan tomorrow. After my dr calling the birth centre to complain today they still hadn't seen me post car prang, they offered me a slot tomorrow pm. DH can't come but sure all will be fine.

Lottie345 · 04/09/2013 22:22

I rather like Mel and sue. Just find them inoffensive and actually fairly normal people compared to, well, all those people pram has listed.

PramQueen1971 · 04/09/2013 22:27

Lottie, I am wholly unperturbed at the threat of bulldozers. He quite literally can do nothing until I decide to leave (which will be very soon as we're viewing properties this weekend). We have to go back to my home town as soon as possible so I can get help from family when baby comes. We need to leave soon before I am too heavily preggo to be of any use during the move.

Good luck tomorrow, chuck.

Jolleigh · 04/09/2013 22:28

Much calmer now. Thank you everyone for the support. You've all been wonderful. I'm no longer bleeding or crampy. Still worried but determined to stay positive until I know what I'm dealing with.

Wish I was on the laptop rather than the phone so I could remember who said what.

The boob thing made me giggle. All I could imagine was a dairy farmer's description of an unmilked cow I once heard on TV. Then of course, I started to view my boobs as udders. Mine could definitely pass for udders right now if I had more nipples constructed.

LyraSilvertongue · 04/09/2013 22:31

But Lottie, they're not funny. And I want to slap Sue every time she shouts 'baaaake". And she wears man-clothes all the time.

I must watch this episode of Midwives.

justmuddlingthroughit · 04/09/2013 22:33

Evenin' all!

Blimey, where to start?

jolls, great to hear things are improving. Best wishes for the scan tomorrow.

prambelina, holy shit I thought I once had a nasty little twat rag of a landlord. Have you been to the CAB? I've had cause to go for various issues, and they've always been helpful, or at least been able to point me to someone else who is.

raisin, we are scan buddies! I'm pretty sure there's just the one Peanut for me following a scan at 7 weeks, although I have since been told that the second one can be hiding when they're that tiny. I keep telling myself that it's well within the realms of probability that, with maybe 50 or so people on the thread (estimated from a quick glance at the stats thread), there will be no Martian twins...

lyra, Happy Birthday!! Thanks Cake

PramQueen1971 · 04/09/2013 22:33

Lyra, please do watch the Midwives from last night. You'll go apeshit Grin

Lottie345 · 04/09/2013 22:34

jolls egg cartons could double up as extra nips perhaps? Praps not.

So you won't be chaining yourself to the outside of your home then pram? Shame. You could have dusted off some old gear... It could have gone viral

Lottie345 · 04/09/2013 22:36

She's a lesbinim therefore she's entitled to man clothes. It's like lesbinim law. Pretty sure that's not a sweeping generalisation

Jolleigh · 04/09/2013 22:37

Pram...your landlord must by law give you a minimum of 24hours notice of any visits unless it constitutes as an emergency situation. All notices of any ended tenancies must be in writing. What he is doing constitutes as harassment.

I've had to deal with many a landlord like yours. As I won't be working tomorrow before my scan, I'm happy to dig out some legislation that you can throw at him.

A good one to have a think about...did you pay a deposit? If so, did you receive notice within 2 weeks of the deposit being paid of which independent company is holding your deposit? If the answer is no, you're well within your rights to take the scum bag's backside to court and he may be ordered to pay you up to 3 times the deposit amount as compensation.

LyraSilvertongue · 04/09/2013 22:40

Lesbinim? Is that a word? Wink Grin It's a uniform and it's a bit silly, imo. But whatever.

Jolleigh · 04/09/2013 22:42

Not just me who says Lesbinim then? I once got told I was being offensive for it. Until I introduced the person to my girlfriend at the time.

LyraSilvertongue · 04/09/2013 22:43

I've never heard it before.

Lottie345 · 04/09/2013 22:44

Ooh yeah, what she said! (jolls)

Lottie345 · 04/09/2013 22:45

Just a silly word my lesbian mate's kid said when she couldn't say it. (check out my PC mates)

Lottie345 · 04/09/2013 22:47

Think I'm to bed. My posts not makin much sense and I can't refresh as past as you're all posting ;-)

NoMaybeAboutIt · 04/09/2013 22:55

Good luck Lottie!

I love Mel and sue! I also love Mary. And Paul?! Oooh

But Prambo you're right. Tess daly is a twat.

Aprrentice I have a wedding this weekend and ordered a dress from seraphine. I shall let you know what it's like!

brightonbeachbaby14 · 04/09/2013 23:21

Evening all, scan went well, the baby was asleep so had to do one weird thrusting move to wake him up, like I was humping the air?! but it did the trick and was lovely to see it wiggling around!

Getting there was stressful, OH decided to go for a run beforehand and didn't get back until 20mins before appointment, we had never been to the hospital before, couldn't park then couldn't find the bloody room, hospital was like a maze, so I arrived like a mad woman 10mins late, and OH followed after parking, sweating and panting and freaking all the waiting mums out.

Also the midwife gave me back my notes but not the bounty folder that I was keeping them in and they had my early scan photos in- I didn't even realise til I got home! Sad

Sorry for waffling, jolleigh sounds like you had a worrying day but glad it seems to have eased off

Boobs- mine were basically non existent so I'm quite enjoying the novelty of having a rack for once.

brightonbeachbaby14 · 04/09/2013 23:22

I mean a weird thrusting move, not just one massive thrust!?
