You're right MTB. Not just me anymore. Who on earth does washing at 4am?!

Jolleigh · 03/09/2013 08:54

They put their washing machine on at 4am?! Inconsiderate bastards.

Tis now your duty to wake them up at 2am with some very vocal shagging...nothing is nearly as annoying as being woken up by someone who's clearly having more fun than you Wink

MummyPig24 · 03/09/2013 08:56

maybe that sounds rough, I agree you need to see the gp.

I still have horrid afternoon nausea. In the morning I feel fine as long as I don't eat. If I eat I feel sick a lot sooner. Any sweet drinks make me feel sick too so I can't even have fruit juice, just water.

I think it's going to be another nice day. It's ds last day at home before year 1 starts and he is so worried. I don't know why because although he has a new teacher (who he has met and is lovely) and he has all the same classmates, he still says he is worried. In the foundation stage they have free access to outside space and so many things to play with, as well as sitting down time doing a bit of formal learning. Now though they will have to sit at proper desks, they get plenty of outside time but only at specific times and he says there are no toys haha.

MTBMummy · 03/09/2013 09:11

My neighbors are the most horrible anti social people you will ever meet - I cannot wait to move house so some other fucker has to share a wall with their rowing until 2am, their DIY that always starts after midnight (although they don't work) and in 3 years they have never once done anything to their garden so it's totally over grown with nettles and brambles so their kids climb the fence and use our garden (and broke DD's trampoline) - actually they've now cut a hole in the fence to make it easier for them to get through. The worst however is that they dump all their dirty plates and dishes in the garden for about a week and as a result we now have a major rat problem.

Sigh... - We rent, so have informed the landlord, soho and the agents about the noise problems, but you can bet they won't tell the new tenants

Jollwhen they first moved in (DD was about 1) he would start DIY (nightly) at midnight or 1am, I had returned to work, and DD was sleeping through, until this massive drilling and hammering on the adjoining wall would start - every fucking night. SO one day when we were going out for the day I put on an 8 hour porn DVD - on full volume and turned the speakers against the adjoining wall. They kept quiet for a while, but started up again after a few weeks.

MTBMummy · 03/09/2013 09:12

Mummy have you tried elderflower cordial? its not sweet and I've found it's one of the few things I can drink - even water seems to make me gag these days

Rockchick1984 · 03/09/2013 09:20

MTB the porn DVD idea made me chuckle - were you not tempted to repeat the experience when they started up again? Although I'm confused as to why most folk would want or need 8 hours of porn... If you're not getting off to it fairly quickly, why drag the experience out??

commsgirl · 03/09/2013 09:24

I keep forgetting I've got a bump when I get dressed for work and then spend the whole day having to stand at funny angles so it's not obvious.

Walked in to work this morning and my boss has moved all my meetings for me so I don't have to do anything important before my scan. Obviously that made me emosh!

Maybe Just remember there's no prizes at the end for being a hero and when you're holding your baby you won't be worried about how many days off work you had!

MTB Get yourself up at 3am and start putting shelves up Grin

Mummy I hope he has a good day tomorrow despite the lack of toys!

MTBMummy · 03/09/2013 09:36

Rock I do have to wonder about the 8 hour bit myself, I must admit I would never be that dedicated to getting off that I would spend 8 hours trying. Grin

rosyryan · 03/09/2013 09:36

MTB that is inspired Grin

Glad you are going to the doctors Maybe.

Good luck with all the scans today.

Dare I say it, I think I have turned a corner. I only felt like I would collapse and die twice yesterday. Best day for months.

LyraSilvertongue · 03/09/2013 09:39

Pram, it was that piped-in "this is what is would have smelled like in 1588" stink. Truly grim. My boys were very interested in the torture stuff HmmThumb screws, the rack, a big hook which they'd shove up the prisoners' arses or use to suspend them by an eye socket so the hook would pierce the brain, descriptions of being hung, drawn and quartered.
We "met" Sweeny Todd and his pie lady, Jack the Ripper. It was pretty good Smile

FrankelInFoal · 03/09/2013 09:39

Agree with the others Maybe - get to a Dr. Fainting is never a good sign, even more so in pregnancy.

Jolleigh · 03/09/2013 09:40

Sounds like you have the same type of neighbours I do MTB so I completely sympathise. Did something similar myself when they first moved in...not with porn though, with Iron Maiden CDs. Used to put them on repeat with the speakers against their bedroom wall then go out to work...did this every time they disturbed my sleep. Didn't work in the long run though unfortunately. What worked a little better was me turning up at their door at 3am looking like I hadn't slept in a year telling them I was going to call the police (had tried council rout at this point) and if the police did nothing I'd take it out on them when I lost my job due to tiredness. Turns out I'm quite a bit bigger than the neighbours. ..even the extremely slim man who I suspect is on a lot of drugs. And my build is quite muscular rather than fat alone. I've had about 2 months of complete piece. Have decided to move though as they're not the only neighbours like them...it really is quite a horrendous area I live in.

x0gawjus0x · 03/09/2013 09:44

Cant wait to hear all the gd newsss today!

Ive already picked my pram! Bugaboo bee! Quite cheap, 470 and its lovely nice and small lovee it not buying anythin till atleast 20 wk scan althou sil dropped off a swinging crib for us that she bought brand new and never used! Xx

MummyPig24 · 03/09/2013 09:45

Wow MTB they sound like the neighbours from hell! I love elderflower so I will try that, thanks. Ice tea (lemon) is not too bad because I don't find it too sweet but its probably actually full of sugar and additives so its probably better to drink water rather than that. I was getting really hungry so I had a slice of marmite on toast, we will see how that goes down!

Rockchick1984 · 03/09/2013 09:48

mummy you can get recipes online for making your own ice tea, may be worth making a huge vat of it so you know exactly what is in it. I'm currently addicted to cranberry juice, but I dilute it so its a bit more refreshing. Even better diluted with fizzy water!

commsgirl · 03/09/2013 09:53

Gawjus I like the Bee! It's on my potentials list :)

MTBMummy · 03/09/2013 09:53

Mummy - second vote for making your own ice tea - make a pot of 4 cups of tea worth and brew for 5 minutes - then add about 5 tablespoons of sugar and stir until dissolved. Add another 4 cups of water and lemon juice to taste - it's a lovely easy ice tea and not full of crap - I lived on it in summer (before I was told I wasn't allowed even decaff tea)

LyraSilvertongue · 03/09/2013 09:59

Mtb and Joll, poor you with your nasty neighbours. I too would be moving ASAP. I can't imagine what makes someone think it's ok to drill an adjoining wall at 1am Shock
Maybe, what time is your appointment?

LyraSilvertongue · 03/09/2013 10:00

Gawjus, I like the Bugaboo bee. But I'm in love with the iCandy Peach. I took DP pram shopping the other day and he was Shock at the prices. He said no to the iCandy but

LyraSilvertongue · 03/09/2013 10:02

Bugger.

But he was impressed with the Mothercare Orb when I showed him its spin function. And it's only £300 ATM. In Turkey they call prams "baby cars" so that's what I'm now calling them because it sounds funny Grin

Jolleigh · 03/09/2013 10:37

I hadn't looked at pram prices yet. You're all scaring me Confused

We managed to get hold of a Freecycled Graco Quatro Tour, but will need to get a replacement car seat at the very least and a Kosycot as it didn't get freecycled with that part. I really hope this one grows on me because I've been in half a mind to go out and get a new pram since this one came in the door.

rescoonetwothree · 03/09/2013 10:40

good luck to all those with the pornographers today!

gaw did you tell your family in the end, all ok?

on iced tea, they sell peach melba one in whittards which you just stir in with water and add ice (like kool aid) so nice!

lyra love baby cars haha!!!!

hope you feel better maybe - on fainting i was reading up about it and it can be postural hypertension if you've been standing up and the blood pools in your feet or something?

20 days til gender scan, I've recently not been so 'boy' minded, so glad i'll be finding out soon! a month til moving day! we are a busy bunch!

MTBMummy · 03/09/2013 10:41

One bit of advice I would like to share on prams, be wary of how wide they are, if you plan to use your pram out and about and frequent shops with aisles smaller than a large supermarket, think twice about how easy it is not only to manouver your pram through the aisles but also how easy it is to pass anyone else who may be in that aisle.

We have a beast of a pram, which is great off road (most of our use) but our local co-op aisles are only just wide enough for it, so you end up blocking the entire aisle if you need to go down it to get something..

Just my 2p worth

LyraSilvertongue · 03/09/2013 10:50

Having a healthy breakfast this morning of porridge with blackberries from the garden.

Joll, if you're not happy with the free one, could you look at getting a nicer one in eBay or something if money is a concern? I'll certainly be looking to see if I can get a pre-owned iCandy because I can't pay £900 for a new one.

FoxMulder · 03/09/2013 10:52

My mother has reliably informed me that it is the grandparents' job to buy the pram. I'm not arguing. I'm not sure if she has realised quite how much they cost though.
