Hi girls thought as that thread it quite full we could start a new one here.
Hope you don't mind pink.
How you girls all feeling today? I swear I keep forgetting I'm pregnant when symptoms disappear randomly. But I'm at such early stages, one of the babies of the bunch at just 5+2

Hi ladies Grin

Just back from my GP appointment.
She was lovely but I am a bit confused. She said the next time I would be seen would be a scan when I'm 12 weeks. I thought I would be seeing a mw before then? She gave me a pack to read, asked me a bunch of questions, took my blood pressure and sent me on my way.
She was great but now have to wait 8 weeks until I'm seen again Hmm

I am seriously turning myself into a paranoid mess. I'm either 5 weeks or 4 weeks 6 days (period was every 27 days) I just want these next few weeks to hurry up. yet to have any sickness, but my boobs kill, I haven't even got my midwife appointment until the end of next month when I will be almost 10 weeks.

my last pregnancies I wasn't like this at all. I took it all in my stride. but being that we were trying for over 5 years, I cannot help but worry. I'm so emotional and teary all the time, and I cannot stop bloody testing. I'm driving myself insane Blush

EverthingcrossedforApril14 · 21/08/2013 16:57

Afternoon ladies,
My goodness we can chat, running that is amazing to hear the HB. Welcome to velo sorry if I spelt that wrong as cant find your post.

My symptoms have not increased but I proper weeped last night over nothing, I did not even feel sad, I was just crying! We also had the PIL around for dinner and they do not know I am pregnant (only DH, GP, MW at hospital and MN know) but I underestimated the amount of food so my husband and I had really small portions, I was starving but could not say anything, could not wait to get them out of the house so my DH could be dispatched to the chip shop.

Hope you guys get the sickness under control, I just feel sick, which is bad enough, but what you guys are going through is much worse, sending you all a virtual hug as I cant work out how to add cake or flowers etc

I've just been to the gp for tablets for morning sickness. Been given stemetil (prochlorpromazine maleate). Hopefully it kicks in soon

cookielove · 21/08/2013 17:36

hi leanne i am the same as you. and similar dates as well am 5 + 1 today.

just so emotional and constantly worried that things will go wrong

i had a bit of sickness but its gone now, all i have is the achy boobs and, i think, tiredness, but am always bloody tired anyway lol

i miscarried a few months ago, and just want this baby to be ok so much, i honestly do not know how i will cope if i lose this one as well.

leanne239 · 21/08/2013 18:41

dirtyface.......no one ever tells you about this worry when you become pregnant, its meant to be all happy and cheery and all I seem to do it worry x

bunnygoesbang · 21/08/2013 18:42

Hello hope all the sicky people are feeling a bit better.

I understand the stress Leanne we were told it would never happen so you worry it won't stay

Had my midwife booking in and covered all sorts. I'm not taking any pills for sickness as I am holding some food and liquids down.
I also have a scan again for next week when I am over the 8 week mark to see what the bleeding was all about.
I have tons of info to look at and vouchers/groups to join for freebies

patsy375 · 21/08/2013 18:50

supercala That sounds an awfully long time before you're seen again.
Sure the Midwife needs to see you before 12 weeks to give you your notes, go through your history and take booking bloods etc.
Maybe you should ring the surgery and check.

bunnygoesbang · 21/08/2013 18:54

Supercala was it your bounty pack and notes she gave you?

bunnygoesbang · 21/08/2013 18:57

Oh I forgot to say my pack had a sample of seven seas vitamins a weeks worth and they have ginger in them so maybe they will help if I can't taste it

Misty9 · 21/08/2013 19:02

supercala (great name btw) that sounds about right - I saw the mw at 6wks with ds due to bleeding, then not again until 16wks! They did bloods etc at the scan at 12wks. That was my first pg too.

Pleased to report I've been feeling a lot less sick! Not sure if cyclizine is the cause (I took it at 7am - surely it wouldn't still be working?) but I'm welcoming it for as long as it lasts :) feeling bloated, trapped wind, shattered and dizzy - but not sick! Woohoo! Holiday next week may yet be saved...

I think I shall be leaving you lovely ladies; hcg levels not increased enough (only went from 372 to 506 in 37 hours and far too low for 5 and a half weeks) so they brought me back in- am now waiting for laparoscopy to confirm ectopic :( in for a long night it would seem! Thank you to everyone for your support and I have my fingers crossed for you all x

Vikkijayne2507 · 21/08/2013 19:39

Sorry to hear your news wicked

boldlittlebird · 21/08/2013 20:44

Evening all. I have a little grey blob with a heartbeat!

It is measuring 6 weeks, whereas I thought I was 7+1 - however, with all my symptoms turning up late and the CB test lagging behind my estimates I am now wondering If I'm a bit earlier than I thought. Had a CP the month before, which usually makes my next cycle longer, so may have ovulated late.

I can't believe it, was so convinced there would be nothing there Smile

bunnygoesbang · 21/08/2013 20:49

Fantastic news bold

greentshirt · 21/08/2013 20:53

Good news bold!!

I had my scan tonight too, saw a little heartbeat! Im measuring exactly the same as my dates 6+3. Going to go back in 2 weeks for another. I feel so grateful to be able to do that. Got some nice pics for when we tell the in laws on fri (by nice pics I mean my little womb which according to my friend is overshadowed by my massive bladder and the shadow of my full bowel! NICE!! )

Supercalafraga · 21/08/2013 20:56

Congrats Bold!
wicked that is awful.... please keep us updated. Will be thinking of you.

I wasnt given a bounty pack by the GP Hmm Just a booklet that explained a bit about being preg, maternity leave, what to expect etc. The GP filled general paperwork including my exemption for prescriptions etc and blood pressure. Presume bloods etc will be done at 12 weeks. Wish I had got a bounty pack though! Envy

sorry to hear your news wicked.

boldlittlebird excellent news on your scan. Really pleased for you. Also realised I must have typed your name a lot as when I type *bol on my phone your name pops up on suggested spellings. I obviously spend far too much time on here!
