Hi girls thought as that thread it quite full we could start a new one here.
Hope you don't mind pink.
How you girls all feeling today? I swear I keep forgetting I'm pregnant when symptoms disappear randomly. But I'm at such early stages, one of the babies of the bunch at just 5+2

OP posts:

Hi mama congratulations on your BFP Smile

Good luck to all you ladies having scans tomorrow!

Ninunina · 20/08/2013 21:59

Good evening ladies,
I can't seem to keep up with this thread at the moment. It is moving so fast.
runninggirl I'm so jealous that you might be as far along as 11 weeks. That means you would skip all the uncertain bit and just go on to enjoy your pregnancy. How did you hear the hb? Was it with a doppler? As far as I know they can't usually hear the heart beat unless you have an ultrasound unless you are quite far along.
greenshirt, I had seen a hb at 6 weeks exactly with DD, but I have a friend who didn't see a hb til after 7 weeks so it's hard to say. I moved my scan to 7+5 weeks to avoid the panic of not seeing it.
wicked good luck for your scan tomorrow. Hopefully the spotting is nothing to worry about.
bart sorry your still feeling bad. I can sympathise with you since I've been feeling pretty miserable too.

Today was a better day than the previous 5. I at 4 small meals instead of 3 big ones and I only threw up once (had dinner a bit too late). Tomorrow I might try having 6 small meals. I feel like the only thing I can stomach is carbs. I've had pasta and bread galore. So much for watching what I eat. At least I'm still avoiding sweet things.

greentshirt · 20/08/2013 22:03

Just watched the midwives on bbc2. What do you have to do to get an elective section?!

coffeewineandchocolate · 20/08/2013 22:39

Hi all. Quick check in on the new thread to mark place. The nausea kicked on big style here today with no relenting. Off to bed now 😒

BoobsTooBig · 20/08/2013 23:04

Greenshirt- I agree we should all put the weeks and days we are at the bottom of our posts.

Just marking my place for now. I have read it all but I'm too tired to post properly tonight. Will catch up in morning.

Hope all scans go well.

pinkpeoniesplease · 21/08/2013 00:12

Hi all, hope everyone's ok.

I'm just marking my place as haven't had time to read this thread yet!

Im 8+2 today and had my booking in appointment this morning.

VeloWoman · 21/08/2013 00:28

Hi everyone,

I hope it's ok if I join in, I am due sometime in April and I am having a dating & viability scan next week to confirm when I am due, I think I am about 6 weeks?

So far the worst thing has been my breasts, they are very sore and have grown already to the point that I am spilling out of all my normal bra's but I don't want to buy maternity bra's until 12 weeks.

No nausea here but plenty of wind Blush.

This pregnancy is a big shock to me as DS is six and has SN/Complex medical issues and so we were not trying or planning for anymore. But babies are a blessing IMO so I just need to get used to it!

Ninunina · 21/08/2013 03:43

DD just woke up with a high fever. I gave her children's neurofen and thankfully she's gone back to sleep.... but guess who won't be sleeping again? Why does she always get sick when my dh is abroad?

coffeewineandchocolate · 21/08/2013 06:41

Groan... Epic morning sickness this morning... Got drs appt today for some medication. Hopefully that will make a difference!

coffeewineandchocolate · 21/08/2013 06:44

Anyone else feeling hungover?! Kicking headache and nausea hit with a vengeance last night.

Not 100% on gestation, scan next thursday but somewhere around 5 weeks!

runninggirl85 · 21/08/2013 07:05

ninunina it was so exciting.

The midwife used a handheld bit of equipment, she put a tiny bit of gel On the bottom. She literally rubbed it over the lower part of my tummy and it sounded echoey and then this really loud fast heartbeat. It wasn't an ultrasound. I can't believe it if i am further along..I have been very lucky with symptoms if I am!

A few have mentioned hearing the heartbeat at 7 weeks..could I be the same as them?

runninggirl85 · 21/08/2013 07:13

It was a fetal doppler ! Just read the notes.

bunnygoesbang · 21/08/2013 08:03

With a Doppler it's usually around 11 weeks that a midwife can hear a heart beating before so looks like you are further along whoop bet you can't wait for the scan now.

Hi all
Yes I feel every morning like a hangover, headache, tmi runny bum and sickness and aversion to doing anything lol.

Midwife today and I'm going to chat about how rubbish I feel how worrying the bleeding was (totally stopped now) lack of support and my fears for labour due to last time. I hope I get a nice one who is willing to Listen

bunnygoesbang · 21/08/2013 08:18

Forgot to put me details at the bottom

Oh god.. it's very real now!

Good luck today bunny x

Wickedwiggle86 · 21/08/2013 08:56

Morning :) good luck with the midwife today bunny. Feel so sick this morning but think it's pre-scan nerves rather than morning sickness! OH thought I was going nuts last night- I noticed that my boobs were hurting more and kept poking them with joy (haven't really had many symptoms)

Supercalafraga · 21/08/2013 09:29

Good luck Bunny and Thanks to those who feeling so rubbish.

Wish I could wake up and be 11 weeks Running!
For my doctors appointment today to get my mid wife referral. Some of my symptoms seem to be dying down - other than the achey boobs. But I do have a great display of pimples on my face to show off instead! Confused
4+3 (tick........ tock)

dirtyface · 21/08/2013 09:32

omg runninggirl how exciting, so happy for you :)

you must be further on than you think as others have said, i don't think they can hear HB through a doppler til about 11 weeks

just wanted to quickly ask again, re HCG blood tests - how do you get them? i haven't been offered them :( do you have to ask your doctor, or is it the midwife?

mamapants · 21/08/2013 09:42

Wow reading this thread is bringing it all back to me. I think I heard the heartbeat on a doppler quite early about 9 weeks, really loud and clear. Its amazing how fast it is.
I am going to phone the midwife later on.
I remember me and DP went to the doctor last time and he was completely not interested, he just said oh well you look healthy you better phone the midwife. So complete waste of time and my dsis saw us waiting outside the surgery so quickly put two and two together and so my sis and mum knew right away.
Haven't told anyone yet this time except the lovely people on mumsnet.

ThedementedPenguin · 21/08/2013 09:44

runninggirl will be interesting to find how many weeks you are.

I know how that feels, I conceived my first when on the pill. My last period was in November and I found out I was pregnant in Jan. I knew I wasn't as far on as my doctor said so when I got scanned and was 9 weeks instead of 12 weeks I was happy.

Although very nervous as you don't know what to expect on the screen. Do you know when your scan is?

bunnygoesbang · 21/08/2013 09:51

Dirty face it depends on your surgery and if they have reason to do a hcg blood test. I've requested them over 24hours due toy previous ectopic and the fact it's protocol to do so after that but my doctor said no.
He made me wait for the scan. I wasnt happy at all and I'm still not happy they have ignored my bleeding either. Just a little more support might be nice I know they can't scan constantly but just waiting and seeing is not doing my stress levels any favours
