Hi girls thought as that thread it quite full we could start a new one here.
Hope you don't mind pink.
How you girls all feeling today? I swear I keep forgetting I'm pregnant when symptoms disappear randomly. But I'm at such early stages, one of the babies of the bunch at just 5+2

OP posts:

More good news greent

By bounty pack I mean the folder to keep my notes in with about a billion leaflets from companies saying buy stuff. There's also a bounty magazine the voucher to take to boots/asda and Emma's diary

So sorry wicked I hope you are ok and being looked after.

Good news bold exciting !

How is everyone's appetite ? I keep getting really hungry but then look in the fridge / cupboards and there is nothing I feel like eating. I picked at a few bits for lunch today and then for dinner had a mini twister ice lolly, 3 satsumas and a Jammie dodger! I usually eat really well but just dont fancy anything :-(

ChocChaffinch · 21/08/2013 21:28

morning sickness support thread here

If you need drugs - take them.

standard advice is avoid spicy fatty food and nibble dry salty food - crackers, errr... and sip liquids all day. constantly. don't let yourself become dehydrated.
I have a hankering for foxes glacier fruits but don't want to start eating sweets 24/7 as my teeth are bathed in stomach acid about 6 times a day without excess sugar Grin
I've tried 3 different anti-emetics, now I'm on Avomine which has sedative side effects.... I'm working this weekend so hope I don't fall asleep...

Have a massive spot on my chin, v sore boobs, achy back, spd type pains starting in my right hip, although think that is exacerbated from dozing on the sofa for hours
Avomine works great up til 5pm then I projectile vomit at sight, sniff or mention of food. ridiculous.
I puked up twice in the leisure centre carpark how mortifying, and also had to open car door at traffic lights to puke on floor. The shame.

haven't managed to eat any dinner, sipping squash through a straw. getting heartburn after drinking, hate this pg so much. |Do want baby though. Lots.

Chocchaffinch sounds nightmarish, you are doing so well to cope. keep going!! :)

Mummabear12 · 21/08/2013 21:38

Hello ladies... Can I join in?!
I think I'm 5 weeks exactly and have my first mw appt on the 4th of sept! I have next to no symptoms apart from bigger boobs, feeling hungry when I go to bed and a bit more tired than usual.
So sorry to hear about all of the sickness I hope you all feel better soon! Maybe I have all that to come!
And sorry to hear your news wicked :( thinking of you!
Can I ask how some of you managed to get an early scan? I want one lol

Supercalafraga · 21/08/2013 21:40

choc that sounds beyond horrific. You deserve a medal!

At how many weeks did everyone's vomiting start? wondering if / when it's going to hit me. Probably unavoidable! Sad

ChocChaffinch · 21/08/2013 21:42

week 6 was the beginning of 'My Adventures with Vomit'

bunnygoesbang · 21/08/2013 21:53

Choc
That sounds truly awful. I so far have avoided the embarrassment of public vomiting. I just don't go out lol back at work next week and haven't a clue if I can hold it in to get to the bathroom. Thankfully it's not as bad as that and I am able to eat and keep some down. Almost threw up on myself in the bath this morning eww

As for early scans mine are due to previous ectopic and bleeding so I don't think you want that lol but some people have found and paid for private scans in their area

ThedementedPenguin · 21/08/2013 21:55

super I'm nearly 8 weeks and haven't vomited. I never vomited in my last pregnancy either so it might not hit.

I just felt like I was going to be sick for 12 weeks. This time I get it every so often but I haven't vomited.

7+5 (I think)

Ninunina · 21/08/2013 21:59

Sorry to hear your news wicked. Please let us know how you get on. You must be devastated.

Good news bold & green. Who is next to scan?

I don't know if I should be worried or not but my morning sickness has calmed down over the last couple of days. I've only felt sick once a day and even then haven't felt that bad. I hope it's not a bad sign. I can't wait for my scan next week now.

coffeewineandchocolate · 21/08/2013 22:16

Week 6 was the start of vom fest here although the medication I got has worked a treat tonight.. Fingers crossed it continues

BartBaby · 21/08/2013 22:31

Mine started somewhere mid week 5, but got steadily worse and was awful by week 6. Tonight after the magic pills I've managed to dtd with dh, and play bowling/tennis and mario kart on the wii Grin couldn't have done it last night!

EverthingcrossedforApril14 · 21/08/2013 22:42

Some of the other Fred's have names for themselves, I thought we could come up with a name for our group? any suggestions, what about Aprilite's? or does anyone have any other ideas?

7+ nearly 2

patsy375 · 21/08/2013 23:05

Green that's brilliant news! Smile
Hopefully it will help you to feel more relaxed and confident about things now.

Bodeccia · 22/08/2013 05:46

So sorry to hear your news wicked, thinking of you Flowers

Delighted your scans went well bold and green, how exciting! Can't wait for mine in a couple of weeks...

I'm going into work today (I'm a teacher and its GCSE results day). Do I tell my colleagues? I want to tell my Head first, but he'll be super busy with results. I guess it'll wait for now

Bodeccia · 22/08/2013 05:47

5 + 3

greentshirt · 22/08/2013 07:10

Thank you everyone, I'm still worried but feeling slightly more confident now I at least know there's something in there!! Just have to keep reminding myself that I'm not the one in control here so not to get too het up!

Bodeccia I would keep quiet for now, when you go back to school will be at a much better stage to tell people. Bet you are glad you don't have to see them all everyday whilst you have your secret! I'm finding that quite awkward tbh, even 'what are you up to at the weekend' seems like a trick question these days!

prettyinpink90 · 22/08/2013 07:17

Morning ladies!
So sorry to hear your news wicked please take care of yourself!
bold and green so happy for you that your scans went ok, it must be amazing to actually see your baby for the first time! I still have 3 weeks to wait, so impatient...
choc sorry to hear you are having an awful time, it sounds awful! Hope you start to feel better soon!

Tea1Sugar · 22/08/2013 07:24

So sorry to hear that wicked, hope you're ok Thanks.

Yay for the exciting scans! Got mine next week, wish it would blooming hurry up!

Err is anyone struggling to poo? BlushI've got some lactulose from doc. Not fun.

Fairypants · 22/08/2013 07:44

I'm really sorry to hear that wicked.

Glad the scans went well bold and green. I've got ages to wait so I'm well jealous.

Choc, sorry you're feeling rotten. I took avomine when I was expecting dd1, I vaguely remember it helping.

I'm feeling more rough this morning but still not nearly as bad as some of you so I'm counting my blessings. I'm contemplating telling my boss at work as I'm completely shattered in the afternoons and no use at all. Has anyone told work yet?

Vikkijayne2507 · 22/08/2013 08:05

hey fairy I told my manager at 6 weeks and the team at 7 weeks as I was not well and they were getting concerned.

Tea1Sugar · 22/08/2013 08:06

Random question, but is anyone else booked into Kingston Hospital?!
