Just had midwife round bp fine, protein in urine still, so she wants me to do some kind of special urine creatine test on Tuesday to give the results a chance to come back for my consultant appt the following week but everything else seems good, also if u remember a few weeks back when my movements were non existant and I went in at night and the midwife was rude horrible and falsely documented my pulse and bp when she hadnt even taken the readings well as my midwife is the supervisor she is taking the matter further as its clearly stated at the top of my notes I have problem with my BP and on that very night my urine tested positive for protein I do feel a bit mean for the midwife but then again as my midwife says if I had had high blood pressure that evening and been sent home with some not so nice consequences then that midwife would have been responsible for mine and the babies life.

Hmmmmmm macdonalds!! Glad your feeling nicely re assured now pseudo your assessment unit sound very helpfull and friendly xx

Think I'm gunna Have smoky bacon crisps in a sandwich to tide me over

BowlFullofJelly · 23/08/2013 13:56

Dum de dum - desk cleared.....nothing to do.....

Natalieand · 23/08/2013 13:58

bowlfull pseudo I just confused myself wondering where my own post had gone cos I couldn't see my name haha.... Back to the old name it is. Much easier!! It was fun while it lasted lol

Bronzemoth · 23/08/2013 13:59

Thats great news Rockchick. I remember you being really helpful answering all my questions at the start when I was pretty confused.

BowlFullofJelly · 23/08/2013 14:01

Haha, your post cracked me up Nat - was it Roofio the other day who was replying to her own post about babies movements? Bless us all.

Tarlia · 23/08/2013 14:26

Dear heartburn/reflux sufferers, I want to share, I've eaten a small amount of almonds each time it's started for the last three days and they have worked. I'm so surprised, it's as if they soak it all up - try it. This is long after gaviscon has stopped working that I don't even bother try that now, just almonds. Long may it last!!

Name changers, eeekkk. Perhaps you can tell us who you are on the Facebook page?

rockchick I'm so happy for you! March is a lovely time to have a baby - DS1 was a feb baby - summer maternity leave is so nice. I hope you have an easy pregnancy and please pop onto out PN thread with news about your bundle in March x

Really impressed with all the batch cooking. We have cracked out the slow cooker, I'm finding the recipes and DP is preparing them. Last night we had leek and potato soup with home made rolls, tonight we are having chicken satay and rice. If anyone has/uses a SC I can recommend a couple of good Facebook groups for recipes.

You'll all have to forgive me, I just cannot remember who said what at the moment, I'm absolutely drained. 3-4 more weeks left, I feel so lucky to be pregnant please don't get me wrong, but it has made me so ill that I've been on semi, now full bedrest since 16 weeks and I just want this to all be over and to meet my gorgeous bundle.

OrangeBlossom2 · 23/08/2013 14:31

Great news pseudo but glad you got it checked. Nat I am glad they are taking it seriously. It might help other people in the future.

I just had my own pregnancy brain moment, drove into Kingston to return the swimming costumes I bought from primark and got all the way to the multi-storey car park before I realised I had left my purse on the sofa. So I couldn't go shopping and also panicked that I couldn't pay to get out of the car park. Luckily there is a 10 minute grace period on the ticket so I could just drive out.

After over an hour of sitting in the car I am sweating everywhere bleugh. Quick shower then off to the gp for whooping cough jab. What a waste of an afternoon grrr.

Let's play guess the identity (of Horatio). Is it Ana?

Flyer747 · 23/08/2013 14:41

Horatio needs to reveal oneself Grin

Tarlia I have a slow cooker, any recipes would be greatly appreciated.

Nat that's the quickest name change in history I reckon Grin glad to hear the nasty mw will be reprimanded.

I had 2 hours sleep in total last night Confused

Rockchick chuffed to hear your news. I remember you from early on, you are a Liverpool lady as well if I remember correctly. Here's to a healthy 6 months Wine

MotherOfNations · 23/08/2013 14:43

Growth scan was fine. Little Eliana is average size apparently. The midwife was very impressed with my iron levels which I was surprised about as I'm not much of a meat eater. The blood was taken the day after a massive steak dinner though.

My urine analysis came back clear and there was no blood present in the sample tested today so I'm still as wise as to what was causing the bleeding. The doctor at the hospital wasn't very helpful and said if I'm still having problems after the birth I can have it investigated then so think I'll just make an appointment with my GP.

I had planned to push for a section date today but the hospital are still waiting to hear back from the fetal medicine team at the Southern General re where they want me to give birth so I'll have to wait until my next appointment on 6th Sept.

Stupid phone pretending it hadn't posted when it had.

Shirehobbit · 23/08/2013 15:07

Great news about Eliana's growth, MoN

claphammama · 23/08/2013 15:08

good news on your scan and iron MoN and glad you feel reassured pseudo!

natalie good on you with the mw! And so happy you changed your name back... about the name changes... hmmm... it threw me a bit I must say... It was so lovely getting to know everyone (while still remaining anonymous and perfect strangers) that it felt such a shame everyone would start changing names now and we would become total and complete strangers again at this stage... so glad it's not catching on!

flyer sorry you couldn't sleep...

I went out earlier with the best intentions to find a birthday present for DP but came back with a bag full of Gap stuff for DS and the baby... feeling guilty now as I really didn't need more stuff for the baby. But it was there, and 30% and I just had to... gorgeous cord dungarees and other cute things. I also saw things we bought over the weekend full price now at 30% off... Grrrrrr

BowlFullofJelly · 23/08/2013 15:19

Oh don't clapham - I was every so proud of myself for getting virtually all newborn and 0-3 months baby clothes from The Essential One as part of the sale for about £40. Then the next day went in Gap and spunked £50 on 2 hats, some socks, a romper and a cardigan Angry.

claphammama · 23/08/2013 15:21

ps. is Mrs Horatio our former comtesse?

claphammama · 23/08/2013 15:25

oh bowlfull I just love Baby Gap stuff... and love buying baby clothes. Things can add up so quickly though!

MrsHoratioNelson · 23/08/2013 15:28

Flyer I'm the artist formerly known as Comtesse Wink

claphammama · 23/08/2013 15:32

I guessed then!!

Shootingstarsandcomets · 23/08/2013 15:39

hotsoup we have a duo of cleaners twice a week for an hour a time. It works quite well, they both clean simultaneously, one upstairs one downstairs so two hours work is done in an hour. In newborn days it never mattered what time they came as we had no routine but these days anytime other than lunch is fine, they have a key so let themselves in if I'm out.

OrangeBlossom2 · 23/08/2013 15:54

Ah ha mystery solved and Clapham wins the prize.

MoN how typical that the day you go to the Drs it is ok and no blood in the urine. Does it hurt? Is it a normal pregnancy thing for some people? Confused I don't think you should have to put up with it until post birth, especially as you are going to have enough on your plate then. Can you go for an ordinary non pregnancy gp appointment? Great news that Eliana is growing well and you are doing well too.

Whooping cough jab didn't hurt at all. The nurse remembered me from my honeymoon jabs around this time last year and our discussion about when we could start ttc after taking malaria medicines. I blushed when she said it didn't take you long then!

Sweated through another outfit on the journey. It is so hot and sticky here today! And doesn't help that my tummy now rests on my thighs when I sit in my car and my arms press against my boobs. Delightful. I am getting fed up of being so big already and I know that it is only going to get much much worse over the next few weeks.

TheFalconsmistress · 23/08/2013 15:58

My cake lady just delivered 6 cupcakes I have ate one now to not eat the rest before DH gets home Blush
