Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
Middy75 · 15/08/2013 08:14

Had my scan yesterday now 12+6 NT done which is the only thing im really worried about being 38. should find out in the week if its a high risk.I've been feeling movements for about a week, wasn't sure at first but can easily tell now but then this is #4!
Name wise my top 2 are Jude and Florence at the minute :-)

tinypolkadot · 15/08/2013 08:25

My belly button feels a bit mis-shapen today! Can feel hardness at the back of it, and it feels a bit twisted. How long before it pops out? Confused

vix206 · 15/08/2013 08:49

Jude is my other boy name Grin

littlestgirlguide · 15/08/2013 08:54

I am wearing a maternity dress today. Oh the comfort of no waistband!

Genevieve is a fabulous name. There are a zillion Evies though if you use that as a nn, I love it but I am biased :-)

mrscookie78 · 15/08/2013 09:22

Hmmm, have to wait till Monday now for my results. My cells aren't growing quick enough! Hopefully then I can join in the name game and talk about buggies!
There is so many names i love but dh isn't keen! I had a friend tell me i couldn't use one name as that's what her daughter is called! Haven't seen her recently, funny that!!
My belly button looks like its trying to pop out now Hmm

Good luck for your results Middy

14+4

Sorry you have to wait longer mrscookie - must be so frustrating!

Good luck packing champagne! I hope you have a wonderful time on holiday. You'd deserve a lovely relaxing break and I hope you feel much better!

Gosh I am dreading my belly button popping out. I hate belly buttons and touching my belly Button grosses me out so much - the thought of it going outie = bleurgh!!!

Timpani · 15/08/2013 11:12

Mine didn't pop out last time. Just went very flat! I think it's been a bit different ever since!!

laura0007 · 15/08/2013 11:21

Oh wow misskat that is soooo pretty!!!!

Milkandtwo · 15/08/2013 11:31

not a pram for wallflowers!

sunflowered · 15/08/2013 11:39

I love the look of the cosatto prams but have read a few negative reviews online - has anyone actually tried one?

No bump/belly button action here yet. When did other 1st timers start to show? I'm 13+1 today according to lmp but possibly only 12+5 based on scan - not sure if lack of a bump (other than a food baby bump...) is anything to worry about yet?

sunflowered I'm 15+1 and absolutely nada. I'm still 5 kg down from my pre-pregnancy weight (thanks to all the vomiting). I worry about it sometimes but if you do a google for 'fifteen weeks and not showing' it seems lots of ladies in the past have been in a similar position.

Feeling a bit depressed today. I just want to feel better! I'm so fed up of the constant battle between nausea, eating and vomiting... of not being able to really enjoy anything because even watching movies and reading books makes me feel sick and my pre-pregnancy hobbies are completely out the window.

Thank goodness for my cat who thinks it is quite normal to spend all day in bed and has therefore been my constant companion for the past two months.

Okay, whinge over. Sorry for bringing the mood down.

marzipanned · 15/08/2013 11:58

champagne best of luck with the journey, I really hope the holiday gives you a miracle break from it all!

Not heard anything about the cosatto prams - so probably not that great. So pretty tho! I am currently leaning towards getting one that converts to a double as we do hope to have kids close together, but just don't know whether its silly to limit our options (although less to pick from would be a relief tbh!) I wanna go and look at prams again but have to wait for a man to come and change the gas meter this afternoon boo!

Marzipanned, I know what you mean. It sucks! We should be feeling fab by now! I have up days where I feel okay and then others where I feel awful again. Feeling sick today but hoping if i eat some lunch it will stave off puking! I find im so much worse if im tired - and was awake for hours in the night last night so that explains it. I hope you feel better soon. It's just shit when you cant even veg and do the things you enjoy for feeling so wretched. The only things which helped me when i was really bad were sleep and sometimes a nice warm bath.

Champagne - just make sure you rest and take it easy when you can and i'm sure you'll be okay. It's great you're in a villa so can properly relax!

pourmeanother · 15/08/2013 12:43

Hello ladies. Joining in after watching for a while. This is my 3rd DC (must be mad!) Am 12+4. Had scan yesterday and all fine. Literally a few hours later though I had a small bleed for first time this pregnancy. Obviously panicked me madly. Only when I wiped and had it a few times for about an hour. Then went. I've only had a tiny bit of brown stuff today (sorry tmi). Otherwise nothing. Praying that will be it. Bled a lot during my second pregnancy and was feeling all relieved I'd had nothing. Cannot put it down to anything. When I stood up quite quickly yesterday morning I had a tiny pain. Maybe the sac had a tiny tear away from the womb or something. Taking great care in my movements now.

Anyway, feel v hopeful all ok after it all has stopped. Can feel little thing moving every now and then. Would you believe I've felt little wriggles since 9 weeks? I'm quite little and know exactly how it feels now. Felt DD2 at 12 weeks. You'll all be feeling yours v soon I bet!

LovesToBake · 15/08/2013 12:59

Hi ladies, good to read everyone's updates. I'm feeling rough again, really nauseous the last two days and the puking first thing in the morning continues so I feel your pain those of you also suffering. Just spent about 10 mins in the canteen trying to work out what was safe to try - ended up with a sweet potato and tuna mayo, fingers crossed it agrees with me. Work's stressful at the moment as we're being restructured and lots of us are at risk of redundancy and I swear the stress/anxiety is making my nausea/tiredness worse.

In other news, I feel really bad but I still can't bear DH to touch me. I always go to bed much earlier than him these days but last night I remember he came to bed and tried to snuggle up behind me in an affectionate manner. I clearly remember in my semi-asleep state basically shrugging him off and saying it felt really cloying. Poor guy!

marzipanned · 15/08/2013 13:45

missk you know what, I just took a long bath and it really did help! Sometimes it's a hurdle to gather the energy to run the bath - but once you're in, it's so blissful.

loves it wouldn't surprise me if the stress is making your nausea worse - tiredness definitely does, so why not stress. I hope your lunch makes the afternoon a lot more bearable.

Thanks for letting me know I'm not alone - it's reassuring to know others are in the same position, especially with everyone telling me "oh you'll feel amazing at 12 weeks!"

Welcome to pourmeanother - I hope I'm feeling some movement soon, I think that will reassure me that all this is very much worth it!

laura0007 · 15/08/2013 13:55

Hi pourmeanother! We are a friendly lot here Smile

I'm just going for my 16 week midwife appt! At least there's no blood to be taken this time they just want my pee!!!

LovesToBake · 15/08/2013 13:55

marzipanned I remember in my first pregnancy everyone kept giving me false hope with 'it will end at 12 weeks', then 'it will end at 16 weeks', then 'mine ended at 20 weeks' - you get the picture. Mine never ended, until the day I gave birth when it suddenly lifted. I think this time I'm coping with it better because I'm assuming the worst, then if it does miraculously ease off earlier, I'll be pleasantly surprised. Hang on in there, it will be worth it! Oh, and FWIW, people told me that a crappy pregnancy often equals a quick and straightforward birth - that was definitely the case for me, so maybe a glimmer of hope!

tinypolkadot · 15/08/2013 14:09

lovestobake hope your restructure goes ok. I know exactly how you're feeling, we're expecting our restructure paper at the end of the month, it's a worrying time.

I'm hoping they won't get to me by the fifteenth week before I'm due so at least I'll be guaranteed my maternity pay

sunflowered · 15/08/2013 14:16

Sorry some of you are still feeling rough - but champagne I hope lounging by your sunny villa gives you a good break.

Will stop worrying about my lack of bump for now. I blame it on my app - it says at 9-10 weeks something about starting to show 'if you haven't already'... We're renovating our house and my mum's made me paranoid that lifting anything heavier than a coathanger will do lasting damage which would have caused the bean to stop growing. (on the plus side, dh also worried about this now so has his brother coming at the weekend to do the rest of the lifting and unpacking and general hard work with him while I 'bake a cake or something' Smile )

marzipanned · 15/08/2013 14:26

Haha, thanks LovesToBake. I wonder if this is why I'm not even remotely nervous about the birth! I think I just need to shift mentally - from 'well I'll just hibernate until I feel better' to 'okay, I might not feel better for another 5 1/2 months, so let's work out how to have a semi normal existence at the same time'.
