thanks everyone, location seems to be the consensus!! more confused than ever now though because it is in theory a perfect house in real life, i see long talks ahead!

mtb we will be travelling a lot to bath if we were here but we'd also have to travel to wales a lot as we have a venue in cardiff so have to be there sometimes!

lyra ahh yes the good old chronicle - have you seen www.twitter.com/welovebath - sometimes pretty funny! ah yes my mum lives in wiltshire so thats how we'd come into bath - nightmare road, but some of those houses are insane!

mummy i'll pm you my Facebook link so you can add that xx

x0gawjus0x · 08/08/2013 16:24

rescoonetwothree · 08/08/2013 16:37

stephie that's brilliant, congrats!!

LyraSilvertongue · 08/08/2013 16:44

Greymoose, I still miss Bath. I had a feeling of nostalgia looking at that twitter feed and seeing place names I recognise. My bf (after we split up) lived on Milsom Street, alongside the park that's below the Royal Crescent (Victoria Park? Can't remember). His flat mate used to open the front window and shout at people in the park "Oi! Get orf my laaaand" in a thick West Country accent. He was a very funny guy. He was also a photographer at the Chron. All my friends then were journalists and photographers. We had such good times Smile

LyraSilvertongue · 08/08/2013 16:44

Grey, can you pm me your fb name so I can add you and then you can add me to the group? Ok to do it that way?

LyraSilvertongue · 08/08/2013 16:47

I really did love our Bath flat. It was first floor so really high ceilings, massive windows with shutters and a view over the river out the back. I used to sit in that window watching the hot air balloon fiesta.
I also loved Camden so much. Amazing views over Bath. We were going to buy a lovely flat there for about £85k, just before property prices got really silly. But them we split up.

PramQueen1971 · 08/08/2013 16:56

Frank, is your nausea back? Mine is today Hmm

Gawjus, how many weeks were you at the heartbeat scan last week? I wouldn't worry about a bit of dried blood although I know that must look alarming.

Rockchick1984 · 08/08/2013 17:12

Yay Stephie that's fab! Day 3 is the worst, after that the bulk of the nicotine has left your body so it starts getting easier - it's 3.5 years now since I quit. Just be careful, as soon as you have a sneaky one you have to start the 3 days of hell again so just not worth it IME!!!!

rescoonetwothree · 08/08/2013 17:18

lyra i miss it every day! although i think it's made me have such high standards growing up in such an amazing place! i loooove the accent - i don't have a west country one unfortunately! the houses are amazing there aren't they! we're going to the balloon fiesta this weekend - i got nostalgic and guilted the bf into it!

i'll send you my Facebook link by pm now!

LyraSilvertongue · 08/08/2013 17:52

So weird putting faces to names Smile

LyraSilvertongue · 08/08/2013 18:41

Btw, if any of you are still feeling wiped out with exhaustion, I've just started taking Feroglobin which is a syrup tonic with iron, B vits, etc. I feel much much better ready and I've only been taking it since Tuesday. I actually managed to do lots of housework yesterday and haven't felt tired at all today. It's was £3.60 in Sainsburys for 200ml.

rosyryan · 08/08/2013 19:18

Grey will you pm me your link as well please? Although I'm irrationally afraid that I am going to know one of you in real life! How awkward would that be??

PiratesMam · 08/08/2013 19:19

Hi Emza! Another SE Londoner Grin

Loving the FB group dudes

lumpylumps · 08/08/2013 19:19

God you lot can talk!!! I've just had a few days away with my boys and my mum in scarborough. It was lovely but exhausting and I felt sick and tired most of the time. We're going to majorca on Sat for a week I'm actually maybe dreading it cos we're going all Inc and I just feel sick!!!!

I'm also getting fatter. I'm at the porky stage. Everything's getting too tight and what isn't too tight feels restrictive!!

So so so sorry to read of your losses soured and jbrd look after yourselves.

I know we have the stats thread but can we put weeks at the end of our posts?? We did it in my Sept 10 thread and I liked it!!

Pram I was doing really well, felt quite bright and breezy this morning. But at 4.30pm I started throwing up Hmm First time I've vomited so I don't think it's morning sickness related. I suspect the yoghurt I ate at lunch might be responsible, even though it was in date.

rosyryan · 08/08/2013 19:37

Frank I graduated to throwing up with DD at half ten at night at 12.5 weeks so don't be so sure it isn't MS! Hope it's a one off event for you though. Mine then lasted until 17 weeks and was fairly miserable. I'm waiting with baited breath for my second trimester Hmm

rosyryan · 08/08/2013 19:39

Lumpy I dunno. Weeks at the end of posts is coming mighty close to tickers Wink

PramQueen1971 · 08/08/2013 19:45

Poor Frank Sad I've really struggled with the nausea this afternoon but I have managed to eat my tea of fish, brown rice and broccoli. I'm delighted to have symptoms on the eve of my scan Smile

Tickers????

LyraSilvertongue · 08/08/2013 20:10

I'm not a fan of tickers. They tend to be too cutesy. But I'll add my dates.

shocking nausea all day. debilitating.
Vommed three times and struggled to eat any of my roast chicken tea Sad but have managed to keep pregnacare down and drink plenty through the day.

6+0 too early for this nausea goddammit

Coolhand · 08/08/2013 20:31

Pram yes - DS is called Luke so very unoriginal!

Quick question - did anyone buy/have a pregnancy support pillow (probs not the right name) in bed in a previous pregnancy and was it any good? I did the whole pillow between the legs thing but it kept migrating round the bed. Just wondering if it's worth the investment?

Hope you feel better soon Frank.

Coolhand · 08/08/2013 20:32

Choc poor thing. Hope it gets a bit better soon.

rescoonetwothree · 08/08/2013 20:33

Just sent rosy!

Hope you start to feel better choc!

A few questions which may be silly for those with some experience!

What's the difference between a midwife led unit and a consultant led unit? Is it just they don't administer any pain relief except gas and air?

If you're in the mlu can you not have an epidural? If you were on the mlu and wanted one would you have to transfer?

Can you pay for a private room instead of having to be on the ward?

So confused!
