Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
Rockchick1984 · 08/08/2013 10:31

Grey its gorgeous but is it on the edge of a drop? Just try to imagine how constantly stressed you would be with a toddler there, and just wait til they discover the joys of crayon on glass window...

Rockchick1984 · 08/08/2013 10:31

And am I right in thinking you would be near the in-laws???

MTBMummy · 08/08/2013 10:33

Wow GreyMoose I wish I could find something like that in my area - I would be hard pressed to not see it.

SoSurprised I second those who said go see the GP you really should be holding down at least water

Frankel Is so Envy I've been doing multiple bathroom trips a night for at least 2 weeks now - I feel so tired...

rescoonetwothree · 08/08/2013 10:36

rock that's a good point ! I am so baby clueless! That could be my angle - I just think we could get something smaller / less fancy and be very comfortable space wise! Oh dear haha

And yeah near the in laws, they won't be allowed my address anyway but it does make me on edge just thinking about them inadvertently finding us or bumping into them all the time ...

LyraSilvertongue · 08/08/2013 10:40

Greymoose, I used to live in Bath and would dearly love to live there again. Newport is nothing in comparison, even if you do get more house for your buck. For me it would always be location over property size.

MTBMummy · 08/08/2013 10:44

Grey - you need to think about the extra travel costs - will you be doing a lot of travel to bath?

Rockchick1984 · 08/08/2013 10:45

Grey try to think of what situations could occur with a very drunk middle aged man, and you have pretty much got your daily challenges with a toddler Grin Babies are loads easier as they can't escape for usually 6-12 months, so it depends on how long you plan on living there for.

Also if you're debating between 2 areas, its worth looking into what baby groups are available locally - a friend of mine said she nearly went mental in her first year with a baby as she lived in the arse end of nowhere so ended up staying in the house on her own most days as all friends work, and there's only so much sitting alone in a cafe with the baby that she could cope with. I live virtually next door to a Surestart centre and went to baby groups 3 times a week when DS was smaller, made loads of friends with babies.

rescoonetwothree · 08/08/2013 10:48

I know I miss it so much how come you moved? it's a hard place to ignore! We used to live on Camden crescent if you know where that is, it was the most amazing place ever, so moving here has been a bit of a 'is that it' type feeling and it's obviously not my home here so I feel a bit lost a lot! But i am a very 'head over heart when it comes to money and feel a but silly getting less for more when im having a baby! Although I don't want to live in actual bath again if I moved back - it'd have to be box etc sort of area!

Where are you now Lyra if you don't mind me asking?

LyraSilvertongue · 08/08/2013 10:51

I lived there for a couple of years when I worked on the Bath Chronicle when it was still a daily. I know Camden Crescent. I lived with my then bf in a gorgeous flat on London Road. I moved to London for work in 1999. My Bath days were some of my happiest Smile

PramQueen1971 · 08/08/2013 11:10

Grey I love the inside but the outside looks to me like some weird Swiss brothel. Too big for just you two and a baby, methinks.

HotCrossPun · 08/08/2013 12:12

I had my booking in appointment today and I've got a bit of a girl crush on my midwife Blush she's just so cool!

This is actually happening now, we are all pregnant and having babies. EEEEK!

I literally can't wait for the next couple of weeks for when people start going to scans and telling people. We can post the pictures on our shiny new Facebook wall Grin

emza78 · 08/08/2013 12:28

Hi ladies,

Can I join please? 8+1 today with #2, due 19 March.

I am indulging in the ultimate guilty pleasure at the moment, second day in a row ive called in sick to work and sent DD to nursery, I just lie around snoozing, it's amazing! Got me to thinking this is how EVERY weekend used to be pre DD, what a treat!

samsmother · 08/08/2013 12:39

How do I find out what my FB link is? Sorry for stoopid question!

emza78 · 08/08/2013 12:57

Just read through the thread, want to add condolences to all the losses, so sad Sad

There was a bit of chat about iron, I take spatone and highly recommend! U can get it from boots and holland and barratt, dilute in orange juice and can't taste it. No constipation and swear it gives me an instant lift.

I'm also in SE London and will be back in Kings in March

Xx

Coolhand · 08/08/2013 13:26

Hi Emza. I also used Spatone before pregnancy when I had low iron levels - no issues with constipation at all. Not sure what the advice is about using it during pregnancy - might be wise to double check if unsure.

Grey location, location, location for me - it's really important. I also underestimated how important family can be until I had my first child - my sister lives in Glasgow and is so envious I have mum near me to help out!

In terms of bellies, last week I was worried it still looked small whereas this week it has suddenly popped out and seems huge. I keep getting into my pj bottoms the second I get DS to bed as nothing else is as comfortable.

PramQueen1971 · 08/08/2013 13:35

Welcome and congratulations, emza. I thought at first you were called eczema Grin

Coolhand, is your name a nod to the film Coolhand Luke?

MTBMummy · 08/08/2013 14:36

Welcome emza

SamsMother If you go to your Facebook profile page, and then just copy and paste that webaddress and send it to Grey, she can then add you

MTBMummy · 08/08/2013 14:39

Hey Hottie - (you realise that nickname is going to stick now) so glad it went well - I have mine on Monday and even though I've seen a little bean and a heartbeat - I still feel it's not real until I actually make it to my appointment

MTBMummy · 08/08/2013 14:41

oh and PS I'm going to kill my colleague - he not only stole my last oatmeal and raisin cookie, he took one bite, complained about it not being chocolate and binned it!!!!

I think a slow and painful death - maybe I'll feed him lots of iron so he dies from constipation

SoSurprised · 08/08/2013 14:46

Thanks everyone for the concern and suggestion to go to to the GP. Have got some medication for the vomiting. Am feeling marinally better now and able to hold down fluids.
Sorry for the me me post. Will catch up on everyone else when I feel better. Hope everyone is doing well.

Beccadugs · 08/08/2013 15:11

Don't worry SoSurprised!

Glad you have some meds, it's great when they work and it is possible to function again isn't it! Drink as much as possible while you can as its really important to be well hydrated for your next crap day! (Trust me on this one!)

LyraSilvertongue · 08/08/2013 15:26

I'm glad you've got help, Sosurprised. There's no need to suffer when there are meds out there that can help.

apprenticemamma · 08/08/2013 15:30
