Opps posted too soon!

Meant to say because I'm curvy I think people just think I'm getting fat(er) rather than pregnant but I'm happy to hide under that excuse for a while.

justmuddlingthroughit · 07/08/2013 22:45

totalshock, yes, that is how you're supposed to eat chocolate fingers. Definitely. Especially now that they're hobbit-sized...grr...

pirates, yes, absolutely, the milk chocolate version simply doesn't cut it with me.

I was intending to eat a far healthier diet when I got pregnant, but is that happening? Is it hell. All I want is carbs...

SaggyOldClothCatPuss · 07/08/2013 23:16

God! After a couple of weeks of being really nauseous and having no appetite, I have eaten nothing but shit today! Tonnes of chocolate, and now I have terrible indigestion! Confused

JK10 · 08/08/2013 01:11

Can everyone weigh themselves at 12 weeks to see how many lb's they have put on! I'm so worried I'm putting on excess weight too quickly. I really struggled to loose it last time and was only just fitting into pre-pregnancy clothes from last one and she is 2 in a few weeks! Not sure if it's because this is my 5th or if I'm just trying to make excuses for myself!! I'd be really interested to hear about other ppl and lbs gained by a certain stage!! I have been snacking more often though to make me feel fuller as I get these sudden hunger pains that make u feel Ill if I don't eat.

Regarding worrying over housing, I really hope everything works out, I always think that things happen for a reason so maybe try look at it from a different angle, new home, new friends, new beginnings! Maybe lovely, although daunting, I'm sure everything will work out just fine! As one door closes another one opens and all that!

Night!

SoSurprised · 08/08/2013 05:02

Am I the only one losing weight? I am so worried for bean. Also the vomiting has come back with a vengeance. I am even throwing up water. I am 10+4 today and it still hasn't settled down :(

Dabarai · 08/08/2013 07:04

Morning ladies! Starting my day with a cup of weight watchers hot chocolate and frankfurters. Really fancy some chocolate digestives... How is everyone doing?

SoSurprised sorry to hear about vomiting reappearing. :( I am only occasionally properly sick, usually just feeling nauseous, but every time I am sick blood vessels on ,my face tend to break and I look blotched with red eyes. People at work started asking what it was!

x0gawjus0x · 08/08/2013 07:09

Think ill be gettin maternity stuff soon as had scan on 20th. Working a 12 hr shift today with my top button undone lol. Feeling a bit sick this morning , could still have a large donner with lots chillis ha ha xx

MummyPig24 · 08/08/2013 07:10

Come the evening I look 9 months pregnant. I get so bloated! I'm a 16-18 anyway but my tummy has definitely rounded out. I was so worried my grandma was going to ask yesterday.

I can't wait until I get a proper bump and can say to people "yes, I'm pregnant!"

I need a wee, must get out of bed.

Dabarai · 08/08/2013 07:21

Re maternity clothes - I lost quite a lot of weight in the first half of the year, so still have loads of old, bigger clothes, especially tops, to wear for later! Was just about to chuck older, bigger bras when my boobs just made a massive jump back to pre weight loss size so I resurrected them for now. Weird.

PiratesMam · 08/08/2013 07:24

sosurprised don't worry, the baby doesn't need much and will get everything it needs from your reserves, this is what they told me when I was v sick last time. I lost weight at the beginning but gave birth to a healthy nearly 8lb girl. Do get some meds, they will help. It's a miserable state of affairs but will get better! 10 weeks is peak puking time!

IceNoSlice · 08/08/2013 07:36

I'm with Lyra, I'm putting off maternity wear as long as I can. I haven't got a bump yet and am the same weight but am defo more tummy than before. Probably because I'm scoffing more and not doing the Shred though.

Yes, the dark choc digestives are infinitley superior. I tried double choc a while ago- the biscuit is dark like a bourbon. Wrong, wrong, wrong.

Hottie, what brand is your lovely nursing bra? I detested all mine from DS1. They went in the bin should have burned them as soon as I stopped BF. would dearly love to find some good ones. I am rather small chested though and tend to struggle to find comfy ones.

IceNoSlice · 08/08/2013 07:41

Oops, missed a page. SoSurprised sorry to hear you're suffering Sad. Get thee to the docs.

Rockchick1984 · 08/08/2013 07:50

Tried a maternity top on yesterday and it makes me look like I've got a full-on bump rather than just a bit bloated, so am also putting it off until I'm happy for people to ask when I'm due :)

Sosurprised go to the dr if you can't even keep water down - lack of food is horrible but lack of liquids can be dangerous (to you more than baby, but still important!).

JK when I had DS I gained an obscene amount of weight - a stone before 12 weeks, nearly 5 stone over the whole pregnancy. Was still a stone or so heavier than pre pregnancy when I got pregnant this time so am monitoring my weight as I can't face trying to lose all that with 2 children. Managed not to gain anything so far but haven't had much of an appetite which I think is why, after nausea wears off I am going to roughly follow slimming world pregnancy plan to keep weight gain to a reasonable level!

In other news, my uterus has popped out of my pelvis!!! 2 weeks today til my scan, I can't wait :)

MTBMummy · 08/08/2013 08:29

Morning all,

I'm going to ask a stupid question, but how do you know when your uterus has moved? I only discovered I was pregnant with DD at 14 weeks, so this whole first trimester is new to me, and boy is it crap and seems to drag forever...

Lyra I also spent all winter in skinny jeans - I wore a pair last week, and while the still do up just i was so uncomfortable within a few hours I felt even more sick than normal.

Rockchick1984 · 08/08/2013 08:39

MTB I can feel it solid at the bottom of my tummy (hope that makes sense!) if I press lightly down my stomach its squishy as normal then just above my lady garden it goes solid and feels like the top of a grapefruit :)

MTBMummy · 08/08/2013 09:08

Thanks Rockchick Now need to find an excuse to feel my tummy at work Grin

justmuddlingthroughit · 08/08/2013 09:09

I'm glad you asked that, MTB, this is my first and I have no clue about anything! Hence my username...

Feeling a bit better today, and my lovely colleague is working this morning so that I only have to struggle through 4 hours if I feel sick again. She doesn't know, I just told her I have a bug, which made me feel a bit guilty about lying, but at 7 + 4 I can't face telling people yet.

faithfulandtruthful · 08/08/2013 09:19

MTB I'm glad I was able to remind you of Carob and also relieved to hear that you had had it before as it is like chocolate but it still isn't chocolate if you know what I'm saying. Can't wait to hear what inspired Carob related products roll forth from your kitchen!!

SoSuprised I am also loosing weight (5lb so far), although I haven't been sick at all, I have very little appetite and eating half sized portions and mostly veg/fruit at that. So you're not alone. As the other girls said you really do need to be careful if your not keeping down liquids. Hope you feel better soon.

I took my first photo of 'my body whilst pregnant' at 7 weeks and yesterday I took a second lot and I am actually looking less preggers at 9 weeks than at 7. Everyone else is saying about maternity clothes and I'm looking even more skinny?

I have my booking in appointment today, I'm not looking forward to it because I have long term health problems and I am on a restrictive diet and although it is all in my Drs notes I doubt that the MW will know about any of it, it could be a long afternoon...

F&T

SaggyOldClothCatPuss · 08/08/2013 09:24

Your uterus doesn't 'move', it grows like a balloon being slowly inflated. The bottom stays securely anchored!
At 12 weeks it should be level with the top of the pubic bone. Before this, you will need to press down behind the pubic bone to feel it. As Rockchick says, it should feel like a hard ball. Whether or not your bladder is full makes a difference. It sits below your uterus and if it is full your uterus might seem higher.

MummyPig24 · 08/08/2013 09:44

I'm just fat anyway. My tastes have changed and my appetite is different. I get ravenous, but the full up quickly so I only eat small portions at the moment. Also I hate the sick feeling so I try to avoid that.

The kitchen sink is totally blocked up. Full of skanky water, I have to go out and I have no idea what to do about it! Dh said he would try and get hold of a plunger and deal with it tonight. Boak!

FrankelInFoal · 08/08/2013 10:04

I had my first middle of the night bathroom visit at 1am Grin I never normally need to get up for a wee during the night but I was absolutely busting at 1am!

I'm definitely feeling less queasy today and my stomach was actually rumbling before breakfast, so I'm calling that progress.

I haven't weighed myself since about 6 weeks - I was told to weigh myself before my booking in appointment so they can monitor my weight gain. In some ways my clothes feel looser, like across the thighs and bum, but they're definitely tighter across the stomach.

samsmother · 08/08/2013 10:05

Morning all :-). After having not been sick since Saturday, and spending the last 2 days feeling almost human (have loved being able to do normal stuff with my DS!) it was NOT welcomed when I needed to puke the moment I got out of bed :-(. Now I'm feeling rubbish and just want to go back to bed! Dab I too burst the blood vessels in my face through being sick, when it happened whilst pregnant with DS I was so upset I thought I had measles until I realised, oops! It's happened this time too but seems to have eased off, my DH says its because I've 'learnt' how to be sick properly, really?!! Had my booking in apt in Monday, was there for 1.5 hours and have pushed my scan forward to the 16th instead of the 20th, like a couple of others I'm also under Kings

rescoonetwothree · 08/08/2013 10:08

sooo major first world problem but after that talk of moving issues yesterday my boyfriend has arranged a viewing for 12pm today. true to form totally more than we need, it makes me twitchy but i love it so much

someone tell me its vile so i can save face and convince him i don't like it after fussing about not getting something more than we need.

hope everyone's ok

am also hoping those who haven't been on here in a while are ok!

LyraSilvertongue · 08/08/2013 10:15

Wow Greymoose. I wish I could get something like that for that price where I live. Here it would be around £3k a month. I say go for it of you can comfortably afford it.
Sosurprised, please go to the doc. It's not at all good that you can't keep fluids down. The baby will be fine a leech everything it needs from your stores but you will feel crap if you don't get this sorted.

rescoonetwothree · 08/08/2013 10:27

lyra I know, it's madness! That's where the dilemma lies - Wales or bath area! I'm from bath so it is all bizarre to me what money gets elsewhere!

I am verrry tight with money and you can get great stuff here for a lot less, but then I think 'but in bath this would be a steal...'
