NoMaybeAboutIt · 17/09/2013 14:29

Great news Solars! 18 weeks already! Crazy times.

Keep, the sickness is no better, but it's better than it would be if I were at work. I just don't think I'd make it without becoming very ill. Am also hoping to wake up one day and be feeling tip top Smile

Not too much longer till the 1st Kitty!

trix 22+3 treatd due 18th Jan.
gosh maybe I can't believe how poorly you are Sad .
I saw the doc on Fri with multiple complaints. I'm not sure ive mentioned it all here because I haven't wanted to complain too much. me and dh have been swabbed to make sure my thrush is thrush since I can't seem to get rid of the bastard. I also mentioned that some days I itch head to toe. so it seems I've developed v.senstive skin. I have switched shower gels and wash my clothes with non bio no fabric softener. I was told to wash only with water for a couple of days and was much better. my fanjo can't even cope with my new sensitive for kids shower gel Sad .
then there's the milk intolerance.
oh I went shopping over the weekend too.

NoMaybeAboutIt · 17/09/2013 16:49

Oh Trix you poor thing Sad. You should've said something! It would've made a change to my moaning Wink. When will you get the swab results back? What a nightmare. Your poor skin. Have some Cake

Boo you're a genius. That is all Grin

cartoontrickster · 17/09/2013 16:58

I should hear by the end of the week.
really hope they can give me something for it.
but yeh seem to be sensitive to milk too. I was suffering with awful stomach pains and bad tummy for pretty much a week. but I figured out it was the milk (doc was very impressed I'd figured it out myself Grin ) much better now I've switched to soya milk.
I didn't realise pregnancy could have these type of affects on me.
I booked a private scan because the stomach aches scared me so much.

OP posts:
NoMaybeAboutIt · 17/09/2013 17:24

Oh you poor thing. Could the milk allergy be related to the itchy skin too? At least your tummy is feeling better now, must've been pretty uncomfy. That's good you'll know by the end of the week. Hopefully they will give you something to sort it once and for all!

cartoontrickster · 17/09/2013 17:29

I've no idea maybe guess it possibly could be. the doc didn't connect the two but you never know.
I'm feeling more positive now though it was all starting to get me Down a bit.

Solars · 17/09/2013 17:50

Oh no poor you Trix, this is definitely the place to complain about things so you can get that extra bit of brooking to help you through it. Friday's not too far away now for answers and hopefully solutions.

I have now been discharged from argc! Yay, no more clexane, cyclogest or immune testing, I just need to give them details of the birth. It feels quite odd that I won't have to go there anymore!

Maybe did you hear back from your gp?

Are any of you thinking of having a 3d scan? There's a clinic near us that does them and recommends them ideally at 27 weeks. I'm quite tempted.

cartoontrickster · 17/09/2013 18:07

I know how that feels solars it felt strange being signed off from my clinic.
we've considered a 3d scan. but when dh saw some pics he thought some of them look creepy Confused so not sure if we'll go for it.
well if we're going for all my mentaling. the scan showed that treats tummy and head circumstance where a few days behind but still within the margins and thigh bone ahead but still with in margins. it worried us a bit that those measurements where on the smaller side of what they should be. but I guess we can't all be average or ahead right?

OP posts:
BlindKitty · 17/09/2013 18:59

trix and maybe sorry you're feeling rubbish

solars fab news that you've been discharged. I can't wait to get discharged and forget all about that part of my life! Not that I'm not grateful for them getting me diffed!

keep think I'm still doing tests so I can see the line getting darker. Having said that, I did go without this morning!

NoMaybeAboutIt · 17/09/2013 19:42

I wouldn't worry Trix, all measurements are based on averages. Some people have to be above and below them! Bet it was nice to see treats again though Smile

Yay Solars! It's weird knowing you'll never have to go back isn't it? My 8 and 10 week scans were in 3D, and even at that small, it was still amazing. We are having a gender scan and that will be 3D and 2D. I say go for it Grin

Well done Kitty Wink. How you feeling?

cartoontrickster · 17/09/2013 19:59

maybe my rational head knows that. but we all know that seems to go out the window in pregnancy Confused

OP posts:
BlindKitty · 17/09/2013 20:01

maybe fine!!! Too fine!!! I'm very aware you will prob want to hit me for saying that though

cartoontrickster · 17/09/2013 20:02

haha kitty we'll ask you again when your 6wks. Grin

OP posts:
EverythingIsTicketyBoo · 17/09/2013 20:05

Aah Kitty the brooking consensus seems to be you're not allowed to be smug until after 6-7 weeks Grin

cartoontrickster · 17/09/2013 20:23

when does the midwife start measuring your bump?
oh I forgot, pram and carseat are ordered

OP posts:
EverythingIsTicketyBoo · 17/09/2013 20:28

Mine didn't do it till 30+ weeks Trix but I had a lot of growth scans (every 3-4 week's) because of the GD so perhaps they didn't need to measure my fundal height.

NoMaybeAboutIt · 17/09/2013 20:35

My notes say they measure from 20 weeks Trix but who knows. You are totally right about the lack of rational brains Grin

Kitty I also felt fine

cartoontrickster · 17/09/2013 20:45

I'm guessing she'll do it at next appointment then. i'll be like 24wks.

OP posts:
NoMaybeAboutIt · 17/09/2013 20:47

Trix you are right, I meant 24 weeks Grin

cartoontrickster · 17/09/2013 20:50

ah right yes. that will be some indication if how treats is coming along then.
how does the count the kicks thing work?

OP posts:
Solars · 17/09/2013 20:59

I agree Trix it's an average and all the measurements were within the margins so you have nothing to worry about. The midwife measured my fundal height at my 16 week appointment Hmm What pram did you get?

Kitty I think it's great you're feeling good, hold onto it.

ThedementedPenguin · 17/09/2013 20:59

Good news I seem to be on the mend. Haven't had a headache all day thank god. Although everything else is still annoying me so I hope I'm not speaking too soon.

Trix it sounds like you have been having a horrible time lately. This is the perfect place for you to come moan/rant, would give everyone else a break Grin
Have you already been for your private scan?

Try not to worry too much about measurements, with ds they had me in for growth scans all the time as I was measuring very small. There was nothing wrong with his height and weight when he was born.

solars I had thought about having a 3d scan with ds and some of it looked cool but it freaked me out how clear you could see babies face which put me off. I'm not sure why but I just think its not for me.

kitty I'm glad to hear you are doing well. I really hope you don't have too much sickness.

I don't want to sound smug but I have stopped feeling sick (like about to vomit) for about a week or so. I'm hoping I've passed that stage. Although my last pregnancy reminds me not to be to happy as it just means the next thing comes along. Here's hoping we all have a good few weeks with no sickness.

Okay so this might be really silly and I don't really believe in all this stuff but has anyone done the Chinese gender predictor? You put in your DOB and your due date/conception date and it shows you whether you are having a girl or boy. I just done it and it says boy, done it for ds and it was boy. Someone who knows what they are having can you try it and tell me if it was right for you?

Trix what pram you go for?

ThedementedPenguin · 17/09/2013 21:00

Oh and sorry for mammoth post Smile
