Omg how do people get up this early Sad

I can't remember the last time I had to get up at half 7. I'm exhausted. Think ill be asking for later appointments next time. [sleepy]

EverythingIsTicketyBoo · 13/09/2013 09:14

Is it scan day? Ooh brooking like a crazy person, can't wait to hear the scan news :)

Solars · 13/09/2013 09:18

Brooking for the 2 scanees today!

I am feeling much better today thanks, although DH is now saying he has a sore throat! It must have been a cold. DH is in ent Keep

I know what you mean about the wardrobe stuff, so far in terms of tops I'm still in my normal roomy stuff, will buy a few later down the line when I'm struggling. Maybe some nursing tops.

NoMaybeAboutIt · 13/09/2013 10:22

Thanks brookers Smile

Glad you're feeling a bit better Solars. Why on earth did I think MrS was a dentist?

Good luck Pen!

What a glorious day it is. Not. Definitely Friday 13th weather Confused

ThedementedPenguin · 13/09/2013 10:30

Okay I'm back. Scan went great. My dates are right so I'm def due 05/04/14 and I'm 10+6 today.

Was great seeing little baby with a tiny hand in front of its face. Ill post a picture on Facebook. I'm just so happy I seen a heart flicker and my little baby :)

Maybe can't wait to hear your scan news. Smile

Solars · 13/09/2013 10:37

Great scan news Pen Only a couple of weeks now for your 12 week scan!

Maybe the weather here is really yucky too, I'm dreading having to go out to the shops later. I guess dentist is close enough to ent although if I said that to MrS he would be quite offended!!!

NoMaybeAboutIt · 13/09/2013 10:44

Brilliant news Pen, it's amazing seeing them Thanks

Solars, I bet he would!! Best we don't tell him . I think today is designed for staying in wrapped in blankets and drinking tea. Autumn is officially here brookers!

keepitgoing · 13/09/2013 10:46

Great news pen was that a private scan? How are you never up at 0730 with a baby...? My 6am yesterday was tough, and I wasn't home till 1930. Urgh.

RubberBullets · 13/09/2013 11:36

Great scan news :) DD and me got up at 11am today

ThedementedPenguin · 13/09/2013 11:44

solars that was my '12' week scan. I'm happy enough as with ds my 12 week scan was at 9+4 so this was a bit closer. Hoping time goes quickly between now and 20 week scan.

keep ds usually gets up after 8. Although its mostly closer to nine when he wakes. However, as I do all night wakening with him, Dp gets up with him in the morning and I get a lie in. Although I imagine that will change with dc2 coming. Usually I get up between 9-10. Smile Blush I'm gonna milk it as long as I can.

I need ds to wake up so I can get everything for his party tomorrow Smile

keepitgoing · 13/09/2013 12:24

Did they do your NT scan then pen? I thought that's a bit early for that, had to be 11+4 or something. Wow, your mornings sound lovely.

Ok just had some nipple leakage!!!! :) 29 weeks.

ThedementedPenguin · 13/09/2013 12:46

keep we don't get a nt scan here. As far as I'm aware if you want it you have to pay for it. Only time I've heard of it is on here. Although I might contact the hospital and ask why it doesn't happen. I tried googling but didn't really find much.

It's great, however I'm really hoping ds starts to sleep through soon. As I'd rather sleep all night and get up when ds does but I'm too tired atm.

What is everyone got planned for this weekend?

Solars · 13/09/2013 14:51

How strange you don't get an nt scan Pen, do you get the blood test though? as I know that's what they used to do, i.e. no scan at 12 weeks and just the blood test and the first scan at 20 weeks! Imagine that!!

Ooo exciting Keep, I can't believe you're 29 weeks though Shock

We have a big family get together on saturday which should be a lot of fun and looking forward to catching up with everyone!

Good luck with DS's party tomorrow Pen

NoMaybeAboutIt · 13/09/2013 16:23

Hello brookers, Fin is a lovely wriggly baby. Scan was amazing, so very clear and she went through everything with us. Nuchal measurement was 1.7mm, so not too bad. Am so very relieved and exhausted now Grin

keepitgoing · 13/09/2013 19:33

Am SO ridiculously pleased by this!! Have fun telling everyone x

NoMaybeAboutIt · 13/09/2013 20:44

Thanks Keep Grin x

Solars · 13/09/2013 20:58

Yay Maybe that's really great scan news!! And you're nuchal measurement spunds perfect x

Solars · 13/09/2013 20:59

Spunds??! = sounds!

NoMaybeAboutIt · 13/09/2013 22:52

Thanks Solars Smile. Don't worry your typos are nowhere near as bad as mine can be Wink

SweetieTime · 14/09/2013 16:07

Maybe I completely forgot to pop over here to say BIG CONGRATS on the scan. How has the news being received by friends and family? I hope you have had some really lovely comments.

keepitgoing · 14/09/2013 16:51

How open have you guys been about ivf? I think we've told pretty much everyone... Dh tends to just mention it in conversation as if its no big deal, which I think is a good thing, but some people are a bit taken aback, as he gets on with whatever he's on about. Grin

Am on my way to see my goddaughter who I barely know as we've been abroad much of her life and friends I've not seen since we got home. Will be lovely! I think its odd for people when I rock up with my bump, if they've not seen it grow gradually.

I feel pretty big already I must say. sweetie big respect for having the 2!! Remind me when you stop work, is it same as me end of Oct?

NoMaybeAboutIt · 14/09/2013 17:51

Thanks Sweetie! Everyone has been really lovely Smile

We've been really open about the IVF too Keep. Quite a few people new we were having treatment. In a weird way, I feel very proud of the IVF. Have a lovely time with your goddaughter. I don't know how it's possible, but mine 14 Shock

SweetieTime · 14/09/2013 21:06

Keep I seemed to have a bump growth spurt a few weeks ago but it seems to have calmed down now. Between 21 - 23 weeks was biggest spurt but this week not so much unless I have just got used to it. I am planning to work until 32 weeks so leaving 2nd week in Nov. I am a bit worried it might be a bit soon and I could have quite a few weeks twiddling my thumbs. I will see how I feel as time moves on.

We have been really open about using IVF too but only close friends and family know it was through egg donation. I think that was info that only a select few need to know. It is more for the privacy of the kids, we will tell them but in our own way and when we are ready.

We have DHs niece staying this weekend so I have spent the last hour shouting at the TV and X factor. How can people actually watch this?

EverythingIsTicketyBoo · 15/09/2013 10:09

Hey ladies, hope your having a lovely weekend :) only 1 week till we have our meet up, I'm so excited!! If you're coming can you pop on to FB and message Sparks? She's also posted on there for anyone not sure of her real name.

Can't wait to meet you all and see you again Sweetie :):)

SweetieTime · 15/09/2013 12:13

Sorry Boo I had missed this on FB. Done is now. I am really looking forward to it too
