maybe you poor thing. What has the gp given you? Are you getting enough fluid? Please don't just sit and suffer.

NoMaybeAboutIt · 11/09/2013 15:01

I've got buccastem Keep. I'm going to go back next week though to see her. I managed so soup yesterday though. I'm hoping that now I've finally stopped the crinone that it may ease off a little bit. I don't think I've actually had a proper meal for a couple of weeks now. But it will pass. 14 weeks is my new target Wink

It's weird, a warm bath helps no end, it makes me feel human for an hour. Though I turn into a prune Grin

Rubber I've got pot envy Grin

EverythingIsTicketyBoo · 11/09/2013 15:07

We had proper sample pots and had to produce it at every appointment, there was a pee woman at our hospital who would check it before your scan. Both the hospital and the mw had fresh ones in a basket in reception. Toddly boo actually has 2 of his own that he took and uses to keep little things in Grin twas funny until he insisted that his pee pot full of coins was to be his show and tell at play group Blush£

RubberBullets · 11/09/2013 16:58

Maybe I could send it to you if you like :o 14 weeks is a good target, my ms went then. I started puking at 5 weeks and stopped suddenly at 14 weeks and the Dr wouldn't give me anything for it even though I was sick all day, every day Shock

SweetieTime · 11/09/2013 17:35

Poor Maybe so sorry you are feeling so grim. Hope the meds make it better for you. Try to keep counting down to 14 weeks and we will all brook no argument that you will be glowing by then.

NoMaybeAboutIt · 11/09/2013 17:58

Thanks lovely Rubber and Sweetie Smile

cartoontrickster · 12/09/2013 09:31

ladies what's your most comfortable flattering maternity outfit? just for a bit of inspiration.

NoMaybeAboutIt · 12/09/2013 10:17

Trix though in not much in the bump department at the mo, have you tries seraphine? Their jeans are amazing. So comfy and, even if I do say so myself, they make your mum look good Grin. They do lovely dresses too

SweetieTime · 12/09/2013 10:17

Trix I got this top and find it very flattering. I wear it with a smart skirt for work or maternity jeans. I have also just ordered these cords for a bit of a change from jeans.
My most comfy outfits I wouldn't leave the house in, such as pyjama bottoms or yoga trousers. Are you thinking for work or out & about?

NoMaybeAboutIt · 12/09/2013 10:28

Nice choices Sweetie

cartoontrickster · 12/09/2013 11:05

sweetie you do have good taste.
my work is quite casual so just normal every day bits really.
I seem to have completly lost my way and feel self concious in most things. i seem to be spreading out a la Kim kard here.

OP posts:
NoMaybeAboutIt · 12/09/2013 11:16

Well I thought she looked amazing through pregnancy Trix, it really suited her Smile.

SweetieTime · 12/09/2013 11:23

Trix if you need some help let me know what type of things you like, body con, bright colours, patterns etc and what sort of things you normally wear and are most practical for you. I am happy to put you some links together.

cartoontrickster · 12/09/2013 12:49

its nice to hear someone say that maybe
I still dip in a bit around my belly button and bulge put below and above.
I prefer to be in jeans and high waisted trousers. I love pj style trousers too. so I'm quite happy in vibrant colours and patterned clothes. I wish I was more of a dress girl as I'm sure I'd be so comfy. I'm thinking perhaps midi dresses with boots in the winter. but nothing too tight, at least while the bump is an odd shape.
sweetie id be very grateful if you have time.

Trix this is just my opinion but I would try to do a bit of a capsule wardrobe that can be dressed up with existing scarves, chunky jewellery and cardigans or jackets. Below are a few ideas from Next, ASOS, H&M and Mothercare maternity ranges.

Trousers/skirts
black plain smart overbump trousers
easy to wear skirt
dark skinny jeans
of course leggings or coloured leggings
jersey comfy trousers

Tops every where does tops so it is really what is your style and price range but here are a few ideas
plain white shirt for work or with jeans
everyday basic top
dark studded top
basic tops
bright red long time top

Dresses or tunics
something easy to wear and can be dressed up or down
fun dress
bright tunic for leggings or jeans
jumper dress for with jeans or coloured leggings
smart dress for work or going out maybe with these tights

Something special for Christmas or night out
I have this beaded tunic
floaty dress am thinking opaque tights and high heels or boots

Hope this helps, we can not have you going around naked Wink

NoMaybeAboutIt · 12/09/2013 14:53

Sweetie you're amazing!!

ThedementedPenguin · 12/09/2013 15:38

sweetie that is amazing. There is some gorgeous clothes there. I'm going to have a proper look when I'm on the iPad.

maybe I really hope your feeling better soon.

I've gone the other way and have barely had any sickness or symptoms all week. So fingers crossed for a successful scan tomorrow.

Trix during my last pregnancy I bought one pair of 3/4 lengths and a pair if jeggings, I just used my normal tshirts. However this time I want some stylish clothes that will keep me warm.

cartoontrickster · 12/09/2013 15:49

god sweetie I luffs you. busy busy at work so havent been able to click all the links yet. ill have a proper look tonite.
I'm thinking I should hire you as my personal stylist!

Solars · 12/09/2013 16:05

Amazing list Sweetie although I'm trying to keep my clothes buying to a minimum, as much as id like to buy loads so far I have a pair of Capri pants, causal dress from ebay and a going out dress from asos. Looking to buy some jeans soon though. I've already got a few roomy tunics which are doing well so hoping they may last a while yet.

Glad you're feeling better Pen and how are you Maybe? I have not been feeling well today and am running a slight temp. I think it's the change in weather. I took a couple of paracetamols late morning and have also had a nap, should I be seeing the dr do you think?

Hope everyone else is doing well.

NoMaybeAboutIt · 12/09/2013 16:59

Poor you Solars. Have you any other symptoms?

Good luck tomorrow Pen can't wait to he's your news.

I'm still feeling so ill. I just can't remember how it feels to be normal. I'm really missing food. But I will live. Good news is, I like tea again Smile

Solars · 12/09/2013 17:34

My only other symptom is a slight headache. Poor you too Maybe

Looking forward to hearing both of your scan news tomorrow Pen & Maybe

cartoontrickster · 12/09/2013 18:48

oh dear I think we need some sick beds in here.
I was hoping to not buy much either. I thought all my strechy tops, dresses skirts and leggings would pretty much see me through. I wasn't expecting, probably a bit stupidly, my whole shape to change. I thought it would be just bump.
sweetie that beaded tunic is beautiful. there's definitely some bits on there that will be perfect for me. shame its 2wks till pay day do I can't get everything.

OP posts:
SweetieTime · 12/09/2013 20:15

Solars sorry you are feeling off. I would speak to your MW before GP as I am sure the GP will just fob you off with it being a preggo thing.

Trix I am surprised how far I have got on my non mat stuff. I bought leggings in a bigger size but the legs are too baggy. I have bought quite a few bits now as my bump has really expanded over the last 4 weeks. I would rather get things now than another month down the line as I will get more wear out of them if that makes sense. I don't think I will be getting much else now.

Pen and Maybe hope your scans go really well tomorrow. Cannot wait to hear all the details.

NoMaybeAboutIt · 12/09/2013 21:14

Thanks Sweetie Smile

How are you feeling now Solars? I agree the GP may fob you off. Have you all had your flu jab appointments through yet?

keepitgoing · 13/09/2013 08:07

Good luck for today † maybe*! Brooking little Fin is all good.
No, I've not had my appt through for flu jab yet, but I think the mW said early october. But I'm supposed to have the whooping cough jab soon, so will need to chase that.

With mat clothes, I haven't bought a huge amount. I have managed quite well on a partial normal wardrobe then bought
Jeans, fr9m topshop
Jeggings, JoJo mamañ
Lovely black pencil skirt for work, JoJo
Wrap tops for work, JoJo clearance
Black Isabella oliver dress for work or dress up, eBay

I don't think I'll buy much more as it seems a waste. My main issue is jumpers. I've had some soft trousers from my sis, but all her tops and other things are too summery, so now t being used.

p3n I think you also have a scan today? Good luck!

solars hope it's just a cold, what does dh say? What kind of medicine does he do BTW?
