Lie = Your glowing vs Truth = Your sweating, freezing, puking and an emotional basket!

Lie = After the first trimester your ms will disappear vs The truth = It will be there in the second trimester and the third..... and probably after you give birth! Get used to it!

Lie = You don't look even look pregnant vs The truth = whatever, you look pregnant from space!

Lets see what we learn from the second trimester! Grin Wink

choco am 16+2 so it's definitely time for it to stop, please do have words humpty! Still on meds but reduced to once a day (max is 3x). It's much better than it was, down from 6x a day to about once every 2 days. Glad you're feeling better though choco!
I'm wondering how pod and the other HG sufferers are doing? Thank heavens mins wasn't that bad...
kes FX for a call soon... Hope you're ok x

SarahJayne321 · 19/07/2013 11:27

Ooh humpty im dying for a cake!!!

mrsavb I'm in the same boat, still vomming but nowhere near as much, think the little hospital stay scared it off! Hope you feel better soon

choco I haven't got one but really want one, you can get the gel off eBay/amazon etc, I think you could use Vaseline/moisturiser as gel maybe? Thats what google said anyway!

HumptyDumptyBumpty · 19/07/2013 12:34

RANT ALERT

So, turned up at doc's this morning, and apparently they don't do antenatal care. Despite hospital midwives telling me I had to book 16 weeks, 24 weeks and one other with local surgery... Despite when I called the GPs for the appt, I said what it was for, and she said 'oh yes, fine'.
Called hospital midwives back, they were horrified and booked me in with them on 29th July (first available appt).
I am struggling not to feel smug - I KNEW Newham NHS would show their true colours soon enough.

MrsVDB · 19/07/2013 12:37

choco I think they are only bad in first trimester or if you use too much. I'm bidding on one on eBay now :)

carrotcakecupcake · 19/07/2013 12:46

Is anyone else bruising like a peach?! DH worried mw is going to say somethig to me again about social services (we laughed last time she asked, which she responded to with a v worried look, but it was only because MIL is a social worker). It doesn't help that I keep walking into things, or the dog keeps walking into my shins with her rediculous cone collar!

keskiviikko · 19/07/2013 13:10

Still waiting Confused

Sultanajo · 19/07/2013 14:06

keski arghhh, talk about keeping u in suspense!

mrsavb how much does the vomming suck! Poor u! Really hope it stops soon! Nearly vommed taking my vits yesterday - am dreading the dentist in a few weeks! Can u imagine if I vom on the dentist!!! Shock

chocco I use biooil with my doppler and it works a treat!

Grrr humpty! How incompetant! How much does it piss u off when you do everything right and double check everything and low and behold you arent surprised when you are let down! Angry

lovelilies · 19/07/2013 14:13

Virtual hand hold keski

HumptyDumptyBumpty · 19/07/2013 14:48

keski you poor thing - wasn't it meant to be yesterday? Or is it meant to be today. Totally thinking of you and wishing for good news.

sultana yeah, so irritating. Esp as I haven't done it before, so I don't know the ropes. Oh well - hospital sorted it, I guess!

choco if you can do it with oil, there's a skin recovery oil in superdrug at the moment, on 1/3 off - superdrug own brand. Good for stretchmarks as well, apparently (if anything is!)

MrsAVB · 19/07/2013 17:10

Note to self: your work skirts may theoretically fit, but now being higher on your waist means you are giving something of a school girl who rolls her skirts up vibe.
humpty how very annoying. Hurry up and move south east Smile
Thank CUNTPUFFIN it's Friday...
X

Does anyone know of any stores that actually do decent and truthful bra measuring. Mothercare measured me yday, came home with bras and put one on this morning and it rode up my back within 10 minutes so far too big round the ribcage... I am also fed up with Debenhams and M and S... so any help well received. My boobs need new bras urgently!

TarkaTheOtter · 19/07/2013 17:50

percy
I found bravissimo really good, and John Lewis have a good reputation.

I went from a size 36D to a 30H when measured by bravissimo. I realised that I had never actually worn a bra with adequate support before. It felt quite tight for a week but now feels great.

HumptyDumptyBumpty · 19/07/2013 17:53

MrsAVB I shall have a moan at DH tonight! We need to move. We do.

percy if you can stretch to it, Rigby and Pellier are outstanding. My only strapless bra which actually stands up and doesn't fold over, sag etc - bought for my wedding - was from them. Brilliant but pricey.
I also tried Bravissimmo and thought they were okay if you're more than a C cup.

TobyLerone · 19/07/2013 17:56

percy, Google 'bra guru sizing guide'. Measure yourself, then go and try some on.

Frizz1986 · 19/07/2013 18:56

Oops sarahl i thought as i was typing that it might only be your 3rd but to be honest i was too lazy to go and check Smile
I think youll be fine anyway. Most people I know say that the first is the hardest as you have no idea what you're doing but after that somehow your body and routine kinda takes over regardless of how many you have.

sarahleanne · 19/07/2013 19:10

I hope so frizz Grin

I am so lazy I cant even be assed to cook dinner ...think of baby , must eat more than ice pops lol

Frizz1986 · 19/07/2013 19:44

Ahhh ice pops.

I cant stand this heat much longer! Currently sat with my feet in a washing up bowl of cold water and they still feel hot (think dh only got me my water bath after i yelled and cried at him for playing on his computer too long in his cool office and not sitting with me and the pooch in the boiling lounge) Feel a bit bad now as after he yelled "why are you crying" I just screamed "because im pregnant" lol

Must get up early tomorrow to get the shopping and housework done before i get hot!

SarahJayne321 · 19/07/2013 19:49

RANT ALERT!!

I've been sacked! Bit of background, I only worked a few hours a week at a letting agency, due to uni commitments (fab timing to get pregnant I know, but wouldn't change it for the world!!) but apparantly the business is struggling, and it's not financially feasible to carry on employing me as there's no need for me as its so quiet. Fab timing.

Anyway, where's pod? Bet she's itching to make a new Fred!!

SarahJayne321 · 19/07/2013 19:50

And frizz ice pops! I need!!

The aldi ones are fab, the flavours are gorgeous much nicer than I expected! Not been able to find them at tesco or asda, I feel so let down, sob.

fryingpantoface · 19/07/2013 19:51

It's soo hot!

Hello to everyone! I'm glad the cake turned out ok :)

I'm also bruising like a peach, but then, i've always done that.

Anyone else have really painful stabbing like pains down the side of your tummy? It's really nasty, when walking or even breathing! I figure everything is fine, but it does suck

BuntCadger · 19/07/2013 19:51

Shit shit day :( started thread about it. Nasty neighbour maliciously reported me to SS

MrsVDB · 19/07/2013 20:07

bunt poor you. Where have you posted and ill have a read

HumptyDumptyBumpty · 19/07/2013 20:13

SarahJ call CAB or similar. I'm pretty sure they can't fire you when you're pregnant. Do they know?
If they've only let you go, you could have a case for unfair dismissal:
www.maternityaction.org.uk/sitebuildercontent/sitebuilderfiles/redundancy.pdf

Bunt what a horrible thing for someone to do. I'm sorry lovely.

BuntCadger · 19/07/2013 20:22

Posted it in chat. Great start to summer holidays

MrABC · 19/07/2013 20:29

percy MrsABC only has good things to say about her M&S fitting so maybe it varies between stores? Just a thought.

Boots are doing half price Palmers coco butter at my local store at the moment. Picked some up for DW today as we've read it's good. Just thought I'd let you gals know.
