Thinking about you somanychanges - glad you're feeling a bit better but really sorry it took a day on a drip to make any sort of difference. It must be really hard staying hydrated at the moment. Hope your scan goes well tomorrow. Do you know how long you'll be in for?

lumpylumps · 15/07/2013 20:14

somanychanges that's rubbish, hope you're feeling better and are home soon.

Finally spoke to my mw today, she's referred me for a scan and I've got my booking in appt next Monday. I'm happy now. I just wanted to know I'm in the system.

Sassy20 · 15/07/2013 20:30

Congratulations Thisisfreaking - have a lovely honeymoon. Smile

Hope you're ok Somany - at least after all the fluids you should be back on your feet in no time.

I had my booking in appt today. Not had my bloods taken though as hosp I've chosen do their own instead of mw doing it. Found out the hard way with my dd after swapping to that hosp at 30 weeks and discovering they wanted to all my bloods again that the mw had done at the booking in appt!!! Shock

EeyoreIsh · 15/07/2013 20:39

Has anyone else had bad cramps? They've just started in the last half hour, bad enough for me not to be able to sit up or stand straight. No bleeding, but I've really started to worry as it was like this (but with bleeding) when I miscarried.

I'm hoping they go soon. If not, I may call up the EPU.

I'm still feeling really sick though, so hopefully it'll be ok.

Somanychanges · 15/07/2013 20:43

Thanks for the well wishes guys,

Champagne if its still bad don't hesitate to go to A&E, they can make you feel so much better in hospital, if only for a short while. I was taking meds but it only semi worked for a few days. They have now put me on two different types which makes a huge difference.

Not sure how long I will be in yet.

laura0007 · 15/07/2013 20:43

Eeyoreish.. I've had a few cramps, mainly at night time. I think it's just everything stretching and as long as there's no blood you have nothing to worry about Smile

eeyoreish I've had some awful cramps at times. Turns out it was bowel related!!!!! If it puts your mind at ease tho, give them a call.

rueyrichardson · 16/07/2013 07:06

EeyoreIsh, hope you are OK this morning. Lovely to read of happy scans and honeymoons, hope the sickness will wear off for everyone (blimey Somany, glad the hospital could help you). Enjoy the sunshine!

Ruggle · 16/07/2013 12:12

There was me thinking I was over the nausea....until I just projectile vomited over the toilet and floor at work. Oops!

gnittinggnome · 16/07/2013 12:30

Ruggle oh noes! You poor thing, especially at work :-(

Hope it missed your shoes (and anyone else who was standing nearby!)

misskatamari · 16/07/2013 13:06

I was the same this morning Ruggle - not puked for over a week and had to run to the loo this morning to vom up my breakfast! Lets hope it's just a blip hey!

LovesToBake · 16/07/2013 15:04

Lovely to read about scans and other happy news. Sorry to hear the sickness is still strong for some - I feel your pain. I had a freak day last Friday where I woke up and thought 'hang on a minute, I don't feel sick' - had a few low points during the day but for the first time in weeks I devoured a 'normal' meal for lunch and enjoyed it. However, every morning since then I've been back to my usual tricks - can't seem to function for the day until after I've thrown up. Felt so tired at work yesterday too.

Had my booking in appointment with a lovely midwife this morning that has cheered me up loads, feels so good to be 'in the system' and hopefully a scan date will be winging its way to me in the pt in the next week or two.

8+5 today

Ruggle · 16/07/2013 16:08

LovesToBake, I was the same as you a week ago....not functioning until the barf, but then it all disappeared for a few days, until this morning's episode.

Has anyone else been getting almost non-stop hiccups? I get them every few minutes, all day long!

LovesToBake · 16/07/2013 16:34

Ruggle it's really tough isn't it. At first, the morning barf seemed to make me feel brighter but not so much now. Some days I feel grim and nauseous all day and others it comes and goes. No issue keeping fluids and food down (although I struggle to find foods I can tolerate) so I know I should count myself lucky as no risk of dehydration or not getting enough food in, but it's so draining. My last pregnancy was exactly the same (and lasted on and off until the day I gave birth). Praying this one will be different!

littlestgirlguide · 16/07/2013 17:02

Has anyone els got awful wind? Both burps and the other unfortunately!

tinypolkadot · 16/07/2013 18:19

I most definitely have littlest think it's the hormones slowing down the digestion process before the placenta takes effect - or something like that!

I can often feel really sick and then a good burp helps relieve it!

sunflowered · 16/07/2013 18:26

Littlest I've gone from being usually a very burpy person to nothing at all for the last few weeks - finally a positive side effect from these hormones Grin Now if only I didn't feel sick at the sick of a cup of tea...

mrscookie78 · 16/07/2013 19:42

Thought I should say hello as I haven't posted for weeks now. All good here, lovely nausea all day long, and feeling yuck most of the time too. I don't think the heat helps Grin
Im waiting to hear from the hospital re my scan date.

10+4

CubanoHabana · 16/07/2013 19:59

How's things eeyore?

EeyoreIsh · 16/07/2013 20:17

cramping has reduced to just occasionally. I'm back to feeling shattered and sick so I hope that's a good sign.

I wish I could sleep the next ten days away until my scan!

jayney86 · 16/07/2013 20:37

Sounds like sickness has made a nasty return for some, myself included. Lots of dry heaving today (sorry tmi) but not actually sick. Had to finish work early as the smell of my office was making my stomach churn! Not feeling much better now, more heaving whilst trying to load the dishwasher (the smell of the dishwasher set me off!). My poor husband has been great though. 2nd pregnancies are definitely harder, remember feeling the same horrible sickness & queasyness but felt able to deal with it better. Still heard nothing from midwife or hospital Hmm!
Yey for those who are getting to meet their midwives & counting down the days til scans.
8+6 today Smile

amicusapple · 16/07/2013 22:20

Not posted in a couple of weeks either. Mainly because there's been very little to report and can't share in the MS chats.

Booking appointment lasted about 20 minutes. MW is lovely but doesn't seem as thorough as others have experienced?

Scan on Thursday so just keeping fx that all is fine (can't stop torturing myself by googling lack of symptoms, also people at work discussing how MS is a sign of viable pregnancy, doesn't half make me worry!)

12 weeks tomorrow Smile

littlestgirlguide · 16/07/2013 22:42

Amicus, lack of morning sickness is not a bad sign - I had not a hint of nausea in my first pregnancy, I have a healthy 4 year old DD to show for it :-)
Good luck with your scan!

We are going to need a new thread soon...
