How did it go shropshire? The only symptom I had was painful boobs and bloating which stopped at 9 and a half weeks so I wouldn't worry. Symptoms come and go.
Aww, I bet that will bring a smile to her face littlest. Smile

Thingymajigs · 14/07/2013 10:31

Congrats and good luck with the new job janey.

Hi all

Shropshire how did the appointment go? Were they able to put your mind at rest?

champagne great that you're finally feeling a little better.

I'm still feeling better. I no longer have that I must eat now or I'll puke feeling first thing, and yesterday I managed to cook dinner and eat some for the second day in a row. success! Of course, I then had a freak out about my symptoms disappearing, but Dr Google said that it's the placenta starting to take over. I hope so!

I've been in the garden again this morning. It's scorching! I kept having to sit down because I felt dizzy. We've got a bbq this afternoon at the MIL, I shall be shade seeking and wine avoiding!

Shropshiremummy2b · 14/07/2013 12:32

Royal Shrewsbury littlest, where I was born. Are you in Shrops? I'm 15mins outside Shrewsbury.

All good thanks, loooovely midwife all good. Sadly she couldn't confirm it wasn't all in my mind, so we'll have to wait til the 23rd. 11 weeks tommorow! X

misskatamari · 14/07/2013 14:34

Glad your app went well Shropshire! Sorry they couldn't confirm but I'm sure your scan will be here before you know it and you'll be seeing your little baby waving at you!

Glad you're starting to feel better champagne! It's about time your body gave you a break from feeling awful!

I'm not too bad today. Was up at 5am again eating toast as my body seems to want to wake at 4 every bloody day but was back asleep by about 6 and not feeling too sick. I even managed to nip into town to the vintage market that was on. I found a copy of the enchanted wood by Enid Blyton which I've been wanting for ages so I can eventually read it to my kiddies Grin plus I got a copy of Penelope strawberry one of the garden gang books (no one ever seems to remember them but I loved them when I was little!) so very chuffed about that.

Bloody knackered now tho! I went round sainsburys afterwards to grab some food for tea and I swear I could have just laid down in a quiet aisle and had a nap! Back home on the sofa now tho so it's resting time!

Hope everyone is having a lovely day enjoying the sunshine Grin

misskatamari · 14/07/2013 14:36

Eyeore glad you're feeling better too Grin have a lovely time at the BBQ! x

Shropshiremummy2b · 14/07/2013 14:46

I remember the garden gang! The girl that wrote them was really young wasn't she? I seem to remember a spring onion dressed in something a 70's teacher might wear. X

Lol yep that's the ones Shropshire! Couldn't believe I found some as they don't seem to exist anymore!

I loved books as a kid too (still do) - that's one of the things I'm most excited about with having a baby is being able to read it stories when it's a bit older. I keep eyeing up meg mog and owl on amazon as I really wanna get them but want to wait until I'm a bit further along. Couldn't resist these ones today though Smile

littlestgirlguide · 14/07/2013 16:04

Yes Shropshire, I'm in North Shrewsbury :-)

I loved Enid Blyton, particularly the Famous Five!

Somanychanges · 14/07/2013 16:44

Hi everyone,
Well I am really sick again Sad. Didn't last long but at least I had two days of being able to eat a bit. Was sick at church this morning and felt awful so decided to come home and lie in bed whilst DH is out with DC at the park.

Heard from a HG website that it could be my medication (along with the sickness I'm sure) that is making me feel so low. I might go and ask doc to swap it as I have no joy about this baby at all anymore Sad

misskatamari · 14/07/2013 16:55

Oh no somany Hmm I'm so sorry that you're feeling so ill again. It must be so disheartening for you. I hope your doctor can sort out some different medication for you to get you feeling a bit better. I hope you can get some good rest today

Misskatamari - I remember the garden gang Grin

laura0007 · 14/07/2013 18:36

Hi ladies, just been having a few stretchy aches in my tummy and was just wondering, does the chance of miscarriage go down once you've seen the babies heartbeat. I thought about googling but don't want to scare myself. I always thought that once a heartbeat had been seen/heard then chance of miscarriage was really low...but I'm probably wrong. Just feeling a bit twitchy tonight. This is where you need a partner to voice your concerns too..

I've been the same today Laura - quite dull achey period type pains for most of the afternoon. It is a worry but I think it is pretty normal. I'm sure it's just the uterus and things stretching. Everything I've read says not to worry unless there's any bleeding (and even then it's often nothing to worry about). It's really hard not to worry yourself I know.

Sassy20 · 14/07/2013 19:00

Laura - I had stretching and niggling pains with my dd. it's all normal - everything's stretching to accommodate changes to uterus etc.

laura0007 · 14/07/2013 19:01

That's what I thought but just being neurotic! I'm 11 weeks tomorrow Smile

lumpylumps · 14/07/2013 19:05

misskatamari my sil has the whole set of the garden gang. I love Enid blyton I've got loads of her books stashed away waiting to be read again.

Tired doesn't come close to how I'm feeling today. I'm actually considering cancelling my contact lenses and getting a cleaner with the money instead. Is that really lazy???

misskatamari · 14/07/2013 19:11

Lol not at all! A couple of weeks ago I could barely move I was so tired and sick. Poor DH went to work in the morning - house a mess and got home from work - house a mess with me sat in sofa feeling like death unable to do anything requiring effort. Luckily starting to manage a bit more activity now but I totally understand where you're coming from! A cleaner sounds like a wonderful idea!

misskatamari · 14/07/2013 19:13

I started reading the enchanted wood before and was practicing my "reading out loud" lol what am I like!

EeyoreIsh · 14/07/2013 19:33

The bbq was wonderful, I ate more than I've eaten for ages! I had a whole plate of food, then strawberries and meringue, then chocolate cake Blush

It felt good Grin but I can't wait to have my 12 week scan and tell the in laws we're expecting. They will be so chuffed. Frustratingly the MIL goes on a fortnight's holiday the day before our scan so we'll have to tell her over the phone Sad Only 12 days until the scan. And I'm 10+5 today.

I have been having crampy in my fanjo this afternoon Blush I'm hoping that's normal!
