Glad your trip out when well Champagne! I'm sure the ice cream will have been pasteurised, bet it was tasty too! The thought of a 9am appointment is not nice - maybe if you ring the hospital they'll understand and be able to change it to a bit later. Fingers crossed.

Jazz don't worry I've spent all day lying on the sofa cursing the heat so you're not alone!

Yaaaaaay my scan appointment has come through too - 1st August yaaaaaay!! Can't wait to see baby again! £2 per piccie at my hospital too which is pretty good I guess.

DH is currently looking at fans online to try and make this heat more bearable! Hope he finds a good one I need a good nights sleep!!!

CubanoHabana · 13/07/2013 20:08

Wow bare not this wed but next? We finish this Friday... Just been out for hubby's birthday to north Pennines and he took a few pics which he put on Facebook, needless to say, I have told him to remove them as I look as big as a house! Partly floaty empire line top, bloat and I think just general fatness as I kinda eased off on watching what I ate and working out in the run up to falling pregnant... Oops!

Ha ha, I'm in bracebridge heath Laura0007 how funny! How many weeks are you??

laura0007 · 13/07/2013 20:46

How weird! I'm 10+6 today. Had my scan on Thursday but was too early for the NT test. I wasn't bothered about having it but seeing as they are offering me another scan in two weeks if I have it I thought it was worth it! Have you got a scan date through yet?

lumpylumps · 13/07/2013 20:53

No, I'm still waiting to hear from the me, I've not had my booking in appt or anything! By my dates I'm 10 weeks today.

lumpylumps · 13/07/2013 20:53

mw, not me!!

misskatamari · 13/07/2013 21:22

Have you rung to mither them lumpy? Surely they should have given you your booking in appointment by now?

Does anyone else usually sleep on their tummy? Are you still sleeping on tummy? When do you think it's best to stop sleeping on tummy?

misskatamari · 13/07/2013 21:49

I so sometimes, especially when struggling to sleep. I'm still doing it at the moment but its not the most comfy (mainly cos of sore boobs). Not sure about when to stop - if imagine its okay until you get a bit more of a bump which starts to make it tricky. At the moment I'm sure our little ones are so teeny that lying in tummy is okay. Sorry that's probably not very helpful!

barebranches · 13/07/2013 22:00

i always sleep on my tummy. Dont know how to sleep on my back... might need to invest in one of those big pregnacy sleepy cusions when im really big. Grin Grin

laura0007 · 13/07/2013 22:35

I used to sleep on my tummy but I stopped around 5/6 weeks as it was making me feel sick. Probably psychological that I was crushing baby! I now have one of the sleep genie pillows and its my new best friend. I don't know how I ever slept without it. Def recommended!!

You shouldn't lie on your back from about week 16, I am told by my yoga instructor, as then the foetus/cervix shebang is heavy enough to press on a vein that carries blood to the head, so you may get dizzy when you get back up.

Cushions are your friend. Thank god I'm not trying to work out how to incorporate cushions, two cats and DH in a double bed in this heat! I'm glad we'll be big, and overheating naturally, when the cooler weather starts!

AhoyMcCoy · 13/07/2013 23:41

Evening all! So exciting to see so many scan dates coming through! Iv got my booking in appt on the 22nd, so guessing scan date will come after that!

I went to the wireless festival at the Olympic stadium in Stratford today- I had been dreading it because I was going with a large group of friends and knew they would notice I wasn't drinking- BUT my clever SIL who knows about the pregnancy got me a bottle of orange VK, drunk it, and then poured tango in it so it looked like I was drinking, so no-one was any the wiser!! Being in the heat all day with no shade and on my feet was exhausting though, so glad to be home now!!

Shropshiremummy2b · 14/07/2013 07:18

Morning!

Glad to hear that some of the sickys are turning a corner, sorry to those who aren't.

I'm off for my booking in at 9.30 and am beyond excited. Annoyed that she's not going to be able to tell me that it isn't just something I've made up in my head though. Am starting to think that my only symptom, sore boobs, is starting to fade so hopefully she'll put my mind at ease.

Happy Sunday preggos x

littlestgirlguide · 14/07/2013 10:07

Good luck Shropshire!
Are you under PRH or RSH? I'm RSH but they've not decided if it will be midwife or consultant led.

Going to see my grandma today, who I don't see very often. Shes quite poorly, has parkinson's and the srugs make her a bit spaced out and she sometimes doeant understand.Think I'd rather tell her to her face than on the phone so breaking the news today as long as she's well.

jayney86 · 14/07/2013 10:26

Morning. Hope everyone is feeling a bit better if you've been sicky Hmm! It's tiredness that getting to me at the moment, DS is almost 2 and has been up at 6 every morning for the last few days. Hoping to have a nap this afternoon but craving a roast chicken dinner so will probs spend the afternoon doing that.
I start a new job a week on Monday, didn't know I was pregnant when I had the interview or accepted! Not looking forward to telling them but I've got 6 or 7 months to prove I can do the job.
Still not heard anything from midwife about a booking in appointment or scan, sure it wasn't this late before. I'm 8+4 now!

jayney86 · 14/07/2013 10:27
