I haven't found a Feb 2007 thread yet so thought I'd start one. Just found out I was pregnant on Monday so it is very early days still - but so exciting nonetheless. The due date calculators generally say I am due on 1 Feb, with on churning out 31 Jan and another 4 Feb. I thought it was more like 15 Feb but I will find our more at my first doctor's appointment on 15 June.

My stats:
me 28
dh 35
first baby
due 31/01 or 1/02 or 4/02 or 15/02 ???? (take your pick!)

Anyone want to join me?

Hello all and congratulations - its lovely there being so many people i can share this with on here as we havent really told anybody here in rl.

Been feeling up and down - very tired in waves, also major lethargy and very impatient with ds. havenot felt as bad as i did with ds - hope this continues.....i felt crap pretty mucg straigh away last time and i woul say i'm feelng marginally off colour now which is quite nice - doesnt feel like pg will take over my life just yet!

TuttiFrutti · 09/06/2006 17:27

Hi there hairycaterpillar! Our babies are due one day apart so we should be able to share all our symptoms.

I'm feeling exhausted at the moment as well, really tired so that I feel like sinking into a chair all the time. I remember feeling like this last time - I never felt sick last pregnancy though, so hopefully that will be the same this time. I told my parents today and they are thrilled! Last time round I didn't tell people till I was 3 months, but this time I'm a lot more relaxed about it.

suzi2 · 09/06/2006 18:05

due 15th/16th Feb for me. Although going to do another test tomorrow to double/triple confirm!

Loads of AF pain and cramping at the moment. Also feeling nauseous a lot which is a worry as I only felt nauseous from about 7 wks with DS. Grin Perhaps it's tiredness too as I was up several times with him last night.

TuttiFrutti · 09/06/2006 19:28

Congrats suzi2!!!

teabags · 09/06/2006 23:10

hello, I just did test no.2. I am still gobsmacked! AF no tdue til Monday. I did the first response test and the line is bolder this time than before so............maybe I'll do one more test on Monday to be triply sure!

sorkycake · 10/06/2006 18:04

Teabags... put the stick down and walk away slowly...........you're PREGNANT! LOL Grin

teabags · 10/06/2006 19:45

oh I'm walking slowly alright, no sudden movements. I daren't even sneeze in case it all falls out!! Smile

hairycaterpillar · 10/06/2006 21:31

lol teabag!Congratulations!

I'm feeling totally exhausted and made mistake of visiting Tesco's earlier where I encountered pigs snouty thing at the meat counter....eeuuurrgghh was enough to make me almost throw up all over my shopping!

suzi2 · 11/06/2006 10:01

I'm feeling really low and negative about being pg. We were TTC so it isn't a surprise to either DH or I. But DH has been very "well it might not all work out" and "it's so early" and he even laughed when I said I had joined my online AN club... said that "surely it's far too early for that?". Add to this that I'm feeling negative (like I felt when I had a 6 wk mc before DS), I'm just sure that it won't work out.

And now I'm wondering if it's better if it didn't work out and I feel totally horrible for even thinking it. I'm shattered with DS at the moment, DH has the cold so is little help, I have loads of crippling headaches and I'm worried that I won't be able to continue bfeeding DS throughout pg (and I would like to).

I feel really low and really guilty for thinking bad things. I also feel guilty that if I'm run down with being pg, then DS won't get the best of me and he's the most important thing to me.

Sorry - just needed to vent to someone who will listen!

zazas · 11/06/2006 10:48

To my surprise I think I belong on this thread! Couldn't drink my coffee this morning so knew something was 'up' - found an expired test in the cupboard and next thing a big dot appeared! Only had the coiled removed 3 weeks / 3 days ago and not even had a proper period yet! Plus we were using condoms..... except for the last time 5 days ago when i thought it was OK! Obviously not.......!

So due I think 24th Feb. My stats..... me 38 / DP 41 and I have DD8 and DS5 and DP has DS6 and DD5 so it is going to be one BIG family...still VERY early days....... not sunk in yet though but nice to be on a thread and able to share with others - congratulations to all.

zazas · 11/06/2006 10:50

oops that is I have a DD who is 8 and a DS who is 5 and my DP has a DS who is 6 and a DD who is 5 - not eight DD and 5 DS etc...... My brain can't turn to fudge yet - I have a BIG presentation / pitch tomorrow for work ahhhhhh.

ChiTownLady · 11/06/2006 16:15

Suzie, sorry you are feeling so crappy - I also tend to feel bery down with pg and feel it does have an effect on ds - last week i literally went to bed for an hour whilst he sat and watched the telly as I was feeling so miserable...I think its a combination of hormones, worry and tiredness so don't beat yourself up about it..go with the flow...i think men don't like to get excited too early so eiher barely talk about it or show any sense of real interest - its a bit like they can stick their head in the sand for 12 weeks until things are 'safe'....

suzi2 · 11/06/2006 16:35

thanks. I'm feeling a bit brighter now. I think it's all hormones and I'm feeling a lot better today so I think that helps. Still not overly confident but I guess I won't be until my baby is here! Smile

cadbury · 12/06/2006 13:07

Hi everyone and welcome to the ewcomers Smile

Susi2 - I've been feeling a bit like that too. The exhaustion can really get you down. I keep worrying that I haven't had any other symptoms yet. I feel queesy in the morning and around lunchtime but nothing more so.
Does anyone else get twinges in their pubic region? Sorry for the TMI but I can't rememebr having these last time and I worry about everything.

mummy2jake · 12/06/2006 13:37

cadbury i know what you mean if i stretch to far or when i stand up sometimes i get a sharp pain there. but if i remember right got it further along last time

and i think im imagining it but im sure my belly is getting bigger and firmer already either that or i am eating too much
midwife appt is not untill im 10.5 weeks seems ages away would of been nice to have seen here a bit sooner.

TuttiFrutti · 12/06/2006 17:23

I'm the same, mummy2jake, I caught sight of myself in a window yesterday and I look 3 months pregnant already! Am only 4 weeks and can't believe my tummy is so big already. What will I be like at 9 months??!

Am also getting twinges low down when I stand up too quickly. I suppose it's nature's way of telling us to live life more slowly! My dh says I should have frequent lie-downs during the day, but that's not easy with an active 14 month old ds!

suzi2 · 12/06/2006 19:46

I'm having loads of twinges - I do remember having them with DS but not until about 8-10wks. I think it's ligaments softening and things. And as I'm still breastfeeding, I thought it might have something to do with that. Assuming it's normal... Grin

suzi2 · 12/06/2006 19:47

My hormones have made me swing completely the other way from my post a couple of days ago. I still don't feel too confident, but now I am really excited about having another little one! I hope the hormones settle soon...!

hairycaterpillar · 12/06/2006 20:47

My hormones are all over the shot too i found myself watching Home and Away tonight and crying my eyes out cause some fella was dying! I think my ds and dd thought i was loosing it then dh came home and from the state i was in presumed something dreadful had happened Blush.

Also getting all these crampy stretchy pains low down, that everyone else is c/o...i think it's all normal i remember my GP telling me when i had my ds that it was just things stretching and changing inside.

maazaa · 12/06/2006 21:13

Hello Ladies

Well, following our BFP on Friday morning, I have made my way over to the due Feb thread! I rang the doctor's today thinking I would need to see someone to get it confirmed, but she said they didn't do that now and someone would ring me tomorrow to arrange my first hour long appointment with the midwife. Is that normal?

As for symptoms, can't tell which are pg and which are psychosomatic!!! Without a doubt I have the HUGEST, most painful boobs in the world and strangely they have suddenly started pointing downwards!!! Smile I have no appetite and a huge bloated tummy! Looks like I am 5 months not 5 weeks! Have headache (but think storm is on the way) and feel all nervy!!!

Are these similar to anyone else? Do we have a stats thread?

maazaa · 12/06/2006 21:15

Hairy - I balled my eyes out to Home and Away and roared at my husband saying "I hope I won't lose you, like Sally's lost Flynn". Almost filling up thinking about it!!!!! Someone save me from my hormones!

suzi2 · 12/06/2006 21:46

Grin hairyc and mazza. I remember when pg with DS I couldn't look at Hollyoaks if Bombhead came on as I would cry. I was worried about him taking care of himself with his mum dead in the house and all that! Before my BFP last week, I did wonder that I was pg as I was crying at TV programmes again!

Mazza - get used to the pointing down boobies Sad It's normal to have a huge appointment with your midwife to start with.

suzi2 · 12/06/2006 21:47

BTW, is anyone on babyworld AN club? My username is the same so if you are, make yourself known to me Grin

kate12 · 13/06/2006 09:01

Hi, can I join too? I think I'm due 14/2, baby no. 2!

stats:
me 32
DH 36
DS 2.4

Quite excited, but having to keep it quiet is harder this time round! Also, feel soooo nauseous all the time - didn't have this with DS!

kate12 · 13/06/2006 09:02

Also, really glad that other 2nd and 3rd timers already feel big - I'm about to dig out the maternity stuff from the cellar!
