New thread as we appear to be talking a fair bit!

Lets hope we've all given birth by the end of this one :-)

Congrats sparkle and cupcake.

Day 2 of doing this on my own as DH went back to work yesterday. Quite tired today. I persuaded DH to sleep in the spare room so he could get a sleep but this meant doing all the night feeds myself and last night she decided to wake every 2 hours and was awake for 2.5hrs between 3 and half 5. Might be a day on the sofa for us.

pinkapples · 30/06/2013 10:56

Oh no sunny! Have fun having a sofa day Grin

My right boob is absolute agony may phone doctors tomorrow as it even hurts straight after expressing

MrsBri · 30/06/2013 11:18

Is the boob hard, pink?

Have you tried massage and stroking with a warm flannel? These things really helped when mine hurt from engorgement last week.

I'm currently sitting here with my tits out air drying my sore nipples!

We gave Amy a bath earlier. Not sure she enjoyed it as she squawked the entire time!

I appear to have given birth to a total boob monster. 5 boobs of milk were consumed between 1-3.00am. Ouch.

Oh, and even when settled in the Moses basket she talks to herself all night. Noisy child!

Enjoy your sofa day, sunny.

Oh MrsBri that sounds tough. Lily was like that but has (mostly) settled down since then. I have to admit on a couple of occasions we have resorted to a bottle of formula when I'm empty and she is clearly still hungry. 11.30am and only one of us is dressed! Fecking useless on my own!

MrsBri · 30/06/2013 11:45

There's no problem with top up. I've resorted to the odd 20-30ml myself to finish Amy off when we were battling with latching etc. I don't give more than that as I don't want to stretch her tummy too much.

I'm not dressed and not sure when I will be. My sister is coming today, but she won't mind if I'm not dressed. It's not important.

Besides, I'm recovering from major surgery!

Getting dressed is totally overrated. I got dressed this morning ahead of visitors. I am now putting my nice clothes in the wash as they are covered in sick. Polly respects the pyjamas but has no respect for decent clothes!

How is the section recovery mrsbri? After the first week I felt so much better.

AmIGoingMad · 30/06/2013 12:41

Pyjamas days are great! When else can you justify them? Make the most of them!Smile

I'm in waiting for mw to come check blood pressure again. They haven't given me a time so it could be anytime!

Quick question- do I have to take urine sample to pre op appt for c section?

Baby a little quieter than usual today so looking forward to mw arriving now.

SunnyL · 30/06/2013 13:58

If i could walk the dog in my pj's I'd so do it. In fact my mum just text me offering to walk the dog about 5 minutes after i'd got back. D'oh! Still the dog walk made baby sleep which means i'm able to eat lunch sitting at a table. Oooh the luxury!

MrsBri · 30/06/2013 15:09

I'm not too bad, Sarah. I'm feeling more mobile now, though still a little numb in places.

I do feel loads better than the beginning of the week it has to be said.

I'm still restricting visitors, but that's more to do with erratic feeding and being selective than anything else!

AmIGoingMad · 30/06/2013 15:24

Blood pressure back to normal- yey! Baby is now footling breech apparently so is actually tap dancing on my bladder as I thought!

ella0 · 30/06/2013 16:32

Congrats to those with new arrivals.

AmI, I took a urine sample along to my pre-op appt (they didn't tell me i needed to, but they're not very easy at that late stage so I decided I'd rather do one at home in case!) and they did ask for it.

Babybeann · 30/06/2013 16:34

Quick update. Baby girl willow grace nesbitt was born at 9.09am this morning weighing 7 lbs 2oz. She is beautiful. Delivery long and hard but had a natural delivery with no pain medication (not planned)

Update more later.

Hawkmoth · 30/06/2013 16:45

Congratulations sparkle and babybeann. Sorry you didn't get the meds you wanted.

Another one in the undressed camp here. I'm alone with the baby so have stayed in bed while she drinks. I'm too out of breath to stand for long anyway so it suits me.

pinkapples · 30/06/2013 17:02

They are quite hard but are soft when I express have has 2 dizzy spells today I couldn't see straight and my hearin went funny along with almost fainting as hubby walked me to the toilet felt awful as we were in the middle of a marco Pierre white restaurant celebrating my dads birthday Hmm feeling better now am sat I'm the faithful pjs on the sofa having just bathed Theiah she's screaming at me but not sure what she wants so am waiting it out 5 mins before I move

pinkapples · 30/06/2013 17:12

Congrats to the mummies and their new babies as well hope your enjoying cuddles

AmIGoingMad · 30/06/2013 18:36

Congratulations babybeann!

Thanks Ella!

Hope you feel better soon pinkapples!

Have a pounding headache here and am having some funny twinges. Don't think it's anything but am monitoring it madly as have to get there asap if it is.

Steffanoid · 30/06/2013 19:28

congrats on new arrivals guys Smile

have just weighed myself, from 2 days before Ethan was born to today, so 2 weeks ago I have lost 17kg holy moly where has that gone? im nearly at pre pregnancy weight again!!

pinkapples · 30/06/2013 19:30

Had a bath now baby is fed and is sleeping seriously considering giving up the breast feeding (expressing) although I think that would be even more painful than just carrying onSad

pinkapples · 30/06/2013 19:31

Well done steff Grin I to am almost pre pregnancy weight exciting stuff

MrsBri · 30/06/2013 19:57
