oh goodness - missed your post 4athome. I'm crossing everything that you see a healthy pregnancy tomorrow.

HumptyDumptyBumpty · 17/06/2013 13:26

4athome will be thinking of you tomorrow.

farmers don't stress - if I were (god forbid) in that situation, I'd appreciate being removed as well, I'd think it a kindness. You did what you thought was best.

Toby me too - after a lovely day symptom free (ish) yesterday, i feel like death today. At least I have the day off!

enormouse · 17/06/2013 13:36

4athome fx and hoping for the best for you and your dp

I feel awful today and had to sprint to the loo to make it in time. Poor toddlermouse pegged it after me and was extremely concerned about his mum which was extremely sweet. DP is taking him to the park so I can get some rest in. Think I'm going to watch a box set of something. humpty and toby hope you can take it easy too.

enormouse · 17/06/2013 13:43

farmers forgot to say this in my last post, but you have done a great job.

Hi all, fgs I don't know how that got posted so many times but have reported it to mumsnet to get it deleted. It's making my head hurt just to look at it.

Penny31 · 17/06/2013 14:57

Haha enormouse that made me laugh.

I'm sorry so many of you are feeling so rubbish. Hope you feel better soon xx

12 week Scan first thing in the morning and I'm absolutely terrified. I'm starting to feel really anxious and doubt I will sleep tonight. Those of you who have had scans already, how on earth did you keep sane beforehand?

Naturegirl82 · 17/06/2013 15:30

Just leaving to go to the hospital for my booking in app and first scan. Feeling excited and nervous! Grin

MrsAVB · 17/06/2013 15:54

enormouse... Sorry I didn't quite get that about farmers, can you repeat? Hahahaha! Smile.
Good luck nature and penny, hope all goes well, can't wait to hear about your beans!
I am bunking off work early
X

TobyLerone · 17/06/2013 16:45

Good luck, nature!

Good luck, penny. I think it's amazing you've managed not to cave and have a scan before now.

:o enormouse. Almost the end of the thread anyway!

Penny31 · 17/06/2013 16:57

Good luck nature!

toby I can't believe it either!

I feel sick, I'm terrified :(

Sultanajo · 17/06/2013 16:58

nature good luck for today!

penny good luck for tomorrow! I dont think I can call myself sane these days - I tend to go into a whirlwind of positivity and negativity a few days before a scan, then have a complete meltdown as I get called in. I would like to say it gets easier, but I am finding it worse each time! Grin However, the relief of seeing it all OK makes all the worry worthwhile!

4athome will very much be thinking of you and keeping everything firmly crossed!

pod & Toby (& anyone I have missed) so sorry you are feeling so incredibly rough. I too am struggling today with constant food aversions and nausea from waking up to going to sleep again and super tired! It sucks!

pod thanks very much for making us aware of your experiences with mc and stats. I think its such a personal thing and farmer as others have said, what will be right for one person will be wrong for another - an impossible task. For me personally in that situation I would want the option to remove myself when ready, but everybody copes differently.

MrsGSR · 17/06/2013 17:30

Good luck nature and Penny!

So I decided this morning that I do want a scan before I go home to make sure everything is ok before we tell people (telling family and close friends at 10 weeks as I wont be able to keep it a secret and want to tell them in person!) I rang the local hospital to try and get a scan for Thursday, turns out they only do Monday afternoons! They had an appointment at 3:30 (which I booked at 2 and then spent the next hour panicking about).
But everything is fine :) Saw a strong heartbeat and was measured at 9+2 which is exactly where I think I am. Have loads of pictures to show people now, and saw it's little legs moving!

MrsVDB · 17/06/2013 17:41

mrsgsr how exciting!! Must be amazing.

So after getting dated a week less than I thought last Tuesday (which is exactly when my symptoms stopped) I have decided to go back to epu tomorrow to hopefully get another scan. I haven't had any bleeding or cramps but I'm convinced its all over. Dh can't come and doesn't think they will scan me as they weren't worried about dates last week but I just know. Torn between finding out what I expect to have happened or believing ignorance is bliss

Sultanajo · 17/06/2013 17:46

mrsgsr thats amazing! So pleased for you!

mrsv its horrible when you have a feeling. I have been there and decided I would rather know sooner than later. If the epu wont scan u do u have the option of getting a private scan?

MrsVDB · 17/06/2013 17:50

sultan yes I definitely will, my nhs scan isn't until 16th July and there's no way I can wait until then.

MrsGSR · 17/06/2013 17:55

MrsV sorting tohear you're worried, how far did you think you were at your last scan? I was measured 4 days earlier than I thought I was (which was a week earlier than my lmp date) but today I've been measured where I think I am, the really early scans can be quite far out. fx you get a scan soon and everything is ok.

reachbarley · 17/06/2013 17:57

Hi, I am new! Due my third baby in early January. I have had my scan a fortnight ago and all was well :) Looking forward to feeling less sick soon!

quackojuliet · 17/06/2013 18:08

i'm new too! due early january so 10 1/2 weeks at the moment.
been feeling very sick, tired, hormonal etc etc. struggled with it over the past month and looking forward to relief in a week or two!

Sleepthief · 17/06/2013 18:11

Been lurking since the beginning, as waiting for scans to jump in.

I just want to say, though, that with DS3 I had light bleeding and was dated a week earlier than my LMP, meaning I must have got a very early BFP Hmm. I was so sure I was miscarrying.

Anyway, the upshot is that the scan dates remained the same throughout the pregnancy and he's now 2.4 yrs and bouncing happily on the trampoline with DS2.

So, it's not necessarily bad news. Best of luck x
