MrsGSR if you are smaller than an F cup I thought m&s moulded ones looked great. Sadly I'm an H ATM!

Enourmouse - congrats on your first :)

So my ms has thankfully disappeared but I keep crying for no reason. But I can tell DP I feel the need to cry and he just holds me. Normally over in 30 seconds.

We were a bit too active on Friday night ( hadn't seen him in a week ;) ) but now my whole abdomen is cramping on and off since. No bleeding but its a bit scary. Our first scan is at 1.30 tomorrow which will hopefully reassure us.

Hope all the dads,ESP first timers, are excited about Father's Day! I got DP a pregnancy book that we read a bit of together earlier and its quite funny :)

MrsGSR · 16/06/2013 16:32

Unfortunately I'm a GG :( can't find anything!

Good luck for your scan tomorrow blue!

HumptyDumptyBumpty · 16/06/2013 16:43

Can't recall - did I say congratulations to enormouse? I meant to!

MrsAVB bah to the vomming. I so feel for you.

non-wired bras are the devil's work for big-boobed ladies. My mothercare one is very uncomfortable. I'm going to Bravissimo to see if they can help, apparently I'm an F cup already...

enormouse · 16/06/2013 17:15

pod that sounds like a really interesting trial. Well done for getting on it.
humpty sounds like your having a great Sunday.
qum try and relax and eat/drink whatever you feel like you can manage. Babies are the most wonderful parasites.
MrsAVB May have to try out the bobble trick.

Frizz1986 · 16/06/2013 17:20

Wow to all the massive boobs.
Mine are still tiny, i know its prob a good thing as am still comfortable in my regular bras, but was totally hoping that for once in my life they might get huge!!

Forgot to say congrats to enormouse too. Mega well done. You must be so chuffed.

Had some nice news from my sis today. I think she is finally coming to terms with me having a kid and i think it has helped that her and her husband have inherited some money so might in the future be able to have another one of their own (her thinking she would never have any more was where her sadness was coming from)

Anywhoo she has said that me and dh are welcome to borrow all their baby things until they need them back and they arent looking to need them for at least 12-18 months. They have the lot, moses basket, cot, clothes, buggy, high chair, sterilisers etc. It is gonna make money a bit easier especially as at the moment dh will be out of work from Sept (hopefully he'll be able to get some supply work) so we are gonna be living off savings and will have to get rid of my car (instead of replacing it with a family one like we hoped) Just means less spending at the start. We might find we have to buy things if they have another child but there will at least be a bit of time when we can be borrowing and hopefully bean will have outgrown everything by the time they need things back.

Having some beef stew and mash for tea tonight. Have really struggled to feel like eating this weekend. Everything just seems to make me feel nauseous. Have been drinking chocolate milk tho which has been yum as since friday my mouth saliva has gone thru the roof and have had a random taste in my mouth so the milk has helped to get rid of it a bit.

Hope others are slowly moving out of their sickness phase. Soon be 2nd trimester for everyone and time will probably fly by after that as at least we can tell people!

enormouse · 16/06/2013 17:25

Thanks everyone for your congratulations. I feel a little teary actually. (Its not just you bluecarrot) Smile. Just got back from Sunday lunch for father's day at DPs parents. His mum and dad made me quite teary when they insisted on telling toddlermouse what a clever mummy he had and how proud he must be. I feel like a bag of weepy hormones. Then I made the mistake of looking up the cognitive sciences MA I like the look of for next year and completely shit myself up about the prospect of doing it with 2 little ones in tow. Had to have a cup of tea and sit quietly for a bit.

Is it just me panicking about the prospect of possibly doing things? Again, I blame the hormones.

Bluecarrot · 16/06/2013 18:03

I was on a business start up course for something I'm excited about but can't do it when pregnant or with newborn ( lots of lifting and energy involved)!

I'm not planning anything til I see how baby settles but keeping mind active with online courses. Just passed a child nutrition one with a distinction. Sounds harder than it was but still... :). Current courses are a diploma in child psychology and one in sustainable agriculture. First two are relevant to future business, last is just interesting.

Perhaps you could look for online courses now that are related so you have extra background knowledge?

enjoyingscience · 16/06/2013 18:19

enormouse well done! I'm in the middle of a part time MSc at the minute, which I'm deferring for a year then picking back up when this one will be 7/8months. I'm lucky my work have been supportive so far, but I'm bricking it too. It's hard enough with one!

Pea the one to one midwife sounds nice. We had continuous care last time, just through the way they organise things here, and though our mw was a bit scary she did know us well by the time ds arrived. I'm hoping that it will be the same this time, the midwife we saw at booking in gave every impression of being 'my' midwife, so hopefully will be the case.

Second trimester still a while away over here, scan on 3rd July and will mark 12 weeks exactly. Time is going soooooo slowly!

Sorry for not checking more people, I can't keep up with the thread! Had a fab day baking with ds for Father's Day, though dp hasn't eaten anywhere near as much came as me and ds have. Oops.

Anyway, must dash. There's a tin of cheese ravioli with my name on it. (I'm normally very healthy, but this pg is making me eat so much tinned shit. Must do better!)

MrsGSR · 16/06/2013 18:29

blue who did you do the nutrition course with? I'm doing an open uni degree in history and law but would love to do a course in nutrition (ou doesn't seem to do one)

MrsGSR · 16/06/2013 18:30

Also congratulations enormouse! Your PILs sound lovely :)

Vatta · 16/06/2013 18:41

MrsGSR - open university do a short course on nutrition, think it's one of their introduction to science courses, only 10 credits. Did it a few years ago and enjoyed it.

MrsGSR · 16/06/2013 18:45

Vatta I found one course on nutrition but it ran for the last time last year and they don't seem to have replaced it yet :(

chocoloulou33 · 16/06/2013 18:57

Hi ladies just a quick check in to say hi x 11 weeks 2day wooop. MS still not easing. Dreading another full week at work like this. Gotta be done though. Hope you are well x

farmersdaughter · 16/06/2013 19:09

Hi,

Just a quick post but could someone please PM me who names who are no longer on this January journey with us. I can't remember who's left us. Blush so I can update the stat list later this evening.

Thank you. Xx

TobyLerone · 16/06/2013 19:14

Oooh, my due date has changed to 5th Jan, if you don't mind updating, farmers? Thank you Flowers

MrsGSR · 16/06/2013 19:52

choco fx your ms eases sooner rather than later!

sarahleanne · 16/06/2013 20:37

My symptoms have completely gone, no sickness, no tiredness, infact I feel quite energetic which is a total contrast from 2 weeks ago. I'm so glad I have a scan Tuesday else I may of had to book a private scan. I feel so normal that I keep forgetting I'm pregnant. I felt like complete and utter shit a few weeks ago. Little but paranoid over here !!

Mac2014 · 16/06/2013 21:05

Went to a BBQ this afternoon and was told I looked awful and was really quiet ... People were wondering if I was ill. Nice. Cannot wait to be able to shout about being pregnant and explain that the reason I look like shit is because I feel the same...

Not looking forward to this week at work, nausea and vomiting are really starting to piss me off.

Glad you ladies are all having nice relaxing weekends. Currently watching Miss Marple and eating toblerone.

Bikey86 · 16/06/2013 21:14

Hello everyone...I've been reading all your posts and keeping up to date with whats going on.good luck to those with upcoming scans...mine isn't until 17th july so I am very jealous of you all!!

Well my MIL guessed me yesterday...coz I looked like shit. So I came clean and then had to tell my mum too!! Both are over the moon of course!! But I'm only 8 weeks so I have made them promise to keep there mouths shut.

Nausea turned into vomming this morning...oh dear.

farmersdaughter · 16/06/2013 21:24

Hello hello,

I've updated the stats list pats self on back....bloody hell I really hope it's right Grin

If for whatever reason I missed anyone off, I am very sorry. Please update and slap me on the wrist later don't drag too much Wink

Right, I can't cope with anymore tonight. I'll be back tomorrow for a proper catch up and a natter.

Night all. Hope the sickness doesn't bite xxxx

farmersdaughter · 16/06/2013 21:25

Toby got it, cheers x

MrsGSR · 16/06/2013 21:55

Bikey my scan is on the 15th of July (I'll be 13 weeks) and it seems like forever away!

flowersfortea · 16/06/2013 22:05

I'll be 10 weeks tomorrow and still haven't heard anything about MW appointments or scans - saw my GP 2 1/2 weeks ago so not sure when I should start chasing it up. Is anyone else still waiting for a date?

In other news - nausea less today but a complete mess of emotions yesterday and could sleep for England! Got to be a good sign that the hormones are doing their thing....

Here's to a good week ahead for all of us, with less vomiting/work issues/general feeling crap! The glowing bit is coming soon, right?

Sultanajo · 16/06/2013 22:31

flowers its different in every area but nothing wrong with phoning to ask....

bikey so sorry u have now escalated to vomming.

mrsavb what a shame! It was going so well!

Well the family party went better than I expected, although we had to turn back initially as my dodgy tum returned! Great timing! Beyond knackered now - cant wait to flop into bed! Survived the night on ready salted pringles from the buffet! Grin

MrsMLB · 16/06/2013 22:39

Hi all, sorry not posted since introducing myself! Been busy busy and also feeling yuck!

I have a lot to catch up on on here but thought I'd pop in a post....been really tired, not sleeping well, crazy dreams, and had cramps and feeling sick all day everyday but the last 2 days I've had no cramps or nausea...I guess I should be pleased I'm feeling well but can't help worrying something is wrong!! (I'm about 8 weeks...I have first MW appointment on Tue and scan is booked for 15th July).
