Mac do you mean a London transport Baby on Board badge? You can get one now! They're supposed to be for when it's not obvious Wink

HumptyDumptyBumpty · 02/06/2013 19:56

Mac I second that - I have one and wear it when I feel too knackered for words. You can get it online or at any station, apparently.

Toby you are nails. You'll have to tutor me. I am too polite and then get the RAGE when people shove past. I am too wimpy to shove back, but I have an excellently carrying voice and have started saying 'PLEASE DON'T PUSH/SHOVE' very loudly. Usually it works. Grin

HumptyDumptyBumpty · 02/06/2013 19:57

Baby on Board badge link

TobyLerone · 02/06/2013 20:03

Ooooh, just try a leeeetle shove back next time. It's very satisfying. Just a bit of an 'accidental' elbow to the kidneys :o

fryingpantoface · 02/06/2013 20:03

Hi everyone!!
It's good to see people are feeling better, you lot always make me smile :-)

I am 7+1 today. Yesterday my 12 week scan date came, 5 July. I'll be 11+6 then. Only thing i'm thinking about is that I've not got a separate booking in date. Just the one letter saying "congrats you're up duffed! Please come to your first appointment at the antenatal clinic at the hospital. Then it also had the stickers, which you usually get with the "come for your first midwife visit" letter.

So, i'm thinking that my care is going to be at the hospital. Which, because I over think, means that they are gonna high risk mark my pregnancy. So no home birth or birthing suite for me.

Still, I've another scan Thursday morning so it'll be nice to see Bug mk 2 again!

Sultanajo · 02/06/2013 21:17

Hey frying. Perhaps they are short on midwives and therefore arent as flexible on visit location???

Sultanajo · 02/06/2013 21:19

Ahhh, heartburn you little biatch! I have been expecting you since the grapefruit juice I forced down! You havent disappointed, but now its time to do one!!!

Not sure whats worse, the heartburn or the rennies. Its like torture!!!Sad

MrsAVB · 02/06/2013 21:42

Evening all!
Have had a mainly lazy weekend. Tried out my sickness drugs, only 1 per day, and they do seem to have improved the vomming, but do make me fuzzy headed. Am still debating which is worse for a work day... Hmm.
choco and pea are you feeling better too? pea - lovely scan photos, bean has grown loads since the last one!
enormouse, your DH and his mate sound like PITAs, hope DH makes it up to you once the friend is gone.
mac and humpty, I'm not sure I'd be brave enough to wear a baby on board badge yet, what if I bumped into someone I knew! It's very tempting though, my normal commute always has seats, but the times where I have to go somewhere different, standing up just makes me feel very vommy.
Hope everyone's had good weekends, despite the RAGE...
Xxx

HumptyDumptyBumpty · 02/06/2013 21:44

fryingpan my appointment letter didn't say what it was for, just 'an appointment' (no scan/booking in info), so I called up to check.

I don't think it will affect where I could choose to give birth - i think it's standard in our area. Ring and check?

sultana I feel your pain. Rennies and Gaviscon tablets are horrific. Gag-worthy beyond anything, including bin-smell. Haven't tried Gaviscon liquid yet, but cold milk helps temporarily?

toby I'm gonna try it. I know two wrongs don't make a right, but if ONE MORE fuckface person careens into the back of me through the closing tube doors and knocks me into the tightly packed mass of people I swear to GOD I will not be responsible for my actions. JUST WAIT FOR THE NEXT TRAIN CUNTPUFFIN. Also, your post made me Grin which is quite an achievement, given I just had a meltdown at the people upstairs who are BANGING LOUDLY on their floor (for no reason) and the little SCROTE who is riding his buzzy fucking motorbike up and down outside. Oh for some fishing wire and a lack of CCTV...

Off to have a bath, otherwise I may not make it through the night without committing a reasonably serious assault on the next person to annoy me.

HumptyDumptyBumpty · 02/06/2013 21:46

MrsAVB x-post - I take mine off at my stop so I can't be seen wearing it. Otherwise, I'm risking it. Hardly anyone spots them normally so wouldn't worry too much about bumping into anyone. Even if I do, i could pretend I'm wearing it as a joke/bet?
Also, yes, my RAGE is coming along nicely, as you can tell. Oh, you meant... Oh. Yes, lovely weekend! Skipping in the sun etc.

MrsAVB · 02/06/2013 21:54

hahaha... CUNTPUFFIN!
Is it this week you have your conference humpty? Sounds like some rage could be useful... Grin
X

TobyLerone · 02/06/2013 22:20

:o CUNTPUFFIN!

TobyLerone · 02/06/2013 22:22

Rennies are positively delicious next to Gaviscon tablets.

chocoloulou33 · 03/06/2013 00:03

Cuntpuffin pahahahaha Grin
I have got used to the gaviscon! I take the tablets, seem to quite enjoy chewing them now, oh dear weird craving. With dd I had the bottled stuff & it was foul.
Booking in appointment with midwife 2moro eek. Hope we like her. Didn't like my last one. She had no idea who I was every week when I turned up it was soooo annoying!

Mac2014 · 03/06/2013 06:46

humpty & extra thanks for the link - my issue is I tend to commute with a guy I work with, unless I swear him to secrecy the gossip would start! Thanks for the link I'll get one ready!

I'm 9 weeks tomorrow and haven't received my booking in apps details. I've been dealing with the EPU til now who had said they'd pass my details on, and that I didn't need to do anything. I'm thinking I'm going to call my doc today as it's getting closer!!

bettyboo83 · 03/06/2013 07:34

Hello everyone. Can I join please? My EDD is 15th Jan but I haven't had any scans yet. I have an appt with the midwife next week and last time she made my scan appt whilst I was there. I have a DS who 21 months. I've not been feeling too bad apart from the usual mood swings and exhaustion, not helped by my energetic toddler! I haven't been sick, just constant 'car sickness' (which is usually made better by eating carbs!). I can't believe you are on thread 3 already! I think our labour thread was only number 7 last time!

Sultanajo · 03/06/2013 08:41

Welcome betty and congrats! Glad you arent feeling too bad!

Humpty omg! That made me laugh my ass off! Brilliant! Next time I am on the tube thats all I am gonna be thinking!

chocco I had the gaviscon liquid last time and just thinking about it makes me heave! Rennies are the best out of a bad bunch!!! Sad

Well at the moment the rage has lifted (but I havent been out yet so it could all change...)

Hope everyone has a fab Monday!!! Grin

Penny31 · 03/06/2013 09:26

The rage has lifted here too yey! Feeling good this morning but my office is far too hot and the windows don't open and air con is broken.

Am I the only one that actually doesn't mind gaviscon liquid?

MrsGSR · 03/06/2013 12:28

welcome betty :) I'm due 15th to according to lmp, although I think it will become a bit later with my 12w scan.

I'm feeling the rage this morning Angry received a letter from my insurance telling me they're going to cancel it next week as I haven't sent my proof of no claims, dispite the fact I have already sent it and they gave me two weeks to send it and there not up yet! Very annoyed. Can't get through to them on the phone so trying to email but Hotmail is refusing to let me attach anything Angry Angry Angry

Frizz1986 · 03/06/2013 12:37

Have posted on thread 4 oops!
Have started brown spotting Sad I know it is probably nothing to worry about as i don't have any severe cramps and it's only light and it's not bright red so I guess I just need to keep am eye on it, but it's easier said than done
Trying not to freak myself out as I know so many people go thru it including a few of u guys but it's so hard. Am 8+3 today and was getting excited about the booking app on Fri but now just feel concerned and prob for no reason at all. Won't mention it to dh just yet as no need to worry him for nothing. Just wanted to post as i know u guys know what it feels like.

TobyLerone · 03/06/2013 13:08

Call the EPU, Frizz. I'm sorry you've started spotting :(

MrsGSR · 03/06/2013 13:11

I'm sure it's nothing frizz but I'm sorry your having to go through it. I agree if your worried do call your hospital, they can put your mind to rest if nothing else.

Frizz1986 · 03/06/2013 13:21

I think I just feel silly calling the epu for something that is just me worrying for no reason as it is just brown like the very start of a period.
Is the epu not for more serious concerns?
Would call the midwives but don't have my little diary with me after getting up late this morning (typical) so don't have the phone number!

TobyLerone · 03/06/2013 13:32

It won't do any harm to call them. I'm sure they won't mind.

Sultanajo · 03/06/2013 13:55

Hey Frizz. Totally know how u feel. If u r worried about calling the epu u could call the Tommys pregnancy line where u can talk to midwives about any concerns u have and they can advise u: 08000147800

Deep breaths hun! Smile
