Sorry Sephy didn't mean to insinuate that yours is too early!

Shirehobbit · 10/05/2013 07:38

Morning all.
Sorry to hear about the job, badger

I've been achy again over the last 24hrs, too jelly - determined not to stress about it and just ignore.

cazboldy · 10/05/2013 07:43

sorry about the job badger

Good Luck with scans today ladies.

Mine's on the 21st.

Can feel little one squirming around lots now Smile

HotSoupDumpling · 10/05/2013 07:47

Ooh good luck with scans! Haven't posted for yonks so am a bit behind, but:
Ana, don't feel guilty at all. Everyone at work came out of a sick pregnant woman at the beginning of their life, so they had better understand!

Pity about the job Pseudo but glad the consultant appointment was good. Better than the other way round, right?

My back pain has started in the last few weeks. I think I'm going to start pilates and also will research some strong massagey places...

Racheld33 · 10/05/2013 08:03

Hi all, got my 20 week scan today (1.50pm) and for the first time in my pregnancy, feel really nervous about it. Was looking last night at all the 'problems' they look for at it, which really wasn't the right thing to do!

Not finding out the sex, so hopefully report back later on a healthy baby!

Good luck funky and legally my scan buddy's!

cuillereasoupe · 10/05/2013 08:11

Thrush is my bugbear ATM. I've had it constantly for a month now no matter how much cream I bung on there and it's getting beyond a joke.

funkky · 10/05/2013 08:24

sephy I think it's a boy, DH thinks its a girl. We' ll have to see. Off to get ready and calm. See u all later and all the best to you rachel and legally

Shirehobbit · 10/05/2013 08:28

Claphammama · 10/05/2013 09:39

good luck scanners! looking forward to all the news later today!

PS. my friend just had a baby girl, so exciting! 2 weeks early. She is going to name her Lena.

legallyblond · 10/05/2013 09:59

Rachel I am really nervous too. Will update after the scan (at 11 but then seeing consultant etc).

roofio87 · 10/05/2013 10:51

oh legally, all 3 of you will be fine I'm sure. do they give you a pic of both or are they together? are you going to try and find out what sex they are?

I thought maybe I'd felt baby moving yesterday but wasn't sure as I've thought that before, but just had the exact some feeling of little prods low down in my abdomen so I'm pretty sure I can finally feel them.
19 weeks today so probably about right!!

Smitten1981 · 10/05/2013 11:20

cuillereasoupe Don't even start me on the thrush, 2 months, three tubes of cream and 13 pessaries later and it's still here. The doc said there's nothing else they can do! Joy.

Good luck with the scans today everyone, we're having our gender scan tomorrow! Eep.

roxvox · 10/05/2013 11:55

Morning ladies! Good luck to those having scans today. Looking forward to hearing how they went!

It's my birthday today, so I have so far spent the day in bed sleeping, and doing a bit of knitting, whilst DH is downstairs working from home. Off shopping in a bit to spend my birthday money on some maternity clothes! Seemed a bit pointless taking the day off of work, but after a good rest this morning I am glad I did Smile

cherrycherry41 · 10/05/2013 12:30

Hanging around to hear the scan news! Grin

TheFalconsmistress · 10/05/2013 12:30

All fine!! Both twins present and correct and no sign of anomalies! Phew!!! We held our nerve and didn't find out their sexes....!

Also saw the consultant. Given the risks to the second baby if you have a twin vaginal birth, I am (and he certainly is) erring in the side of a c section. So all being well, c section at 38 weeks! Had DD naturally with no pain relief at all, so feel I already have the t shirt on that front!!

PseudoBadger · 10/05/2013 13:54

I hope Bronze is ok?

Bronzemoth · 10/05/2013 14:15

Good news on the scan(s) legally.

I'm fine thanks for your concern Psuedo. For some reason spending 3+ hours in a hospital is surprisingly exhausting and was pretty wiped when we got home and didn't update here. The doctor finally got hold of the consultant and they have agreed to leave the Polyp until after the baby arrives and then I'm to referred to the colposcopy clinic.

I'm still not entirely clear what they are going to do and how soon after birth this will all happen. The idea of having additional procedures 'down there' when I'm sore doesn't sound appealing, but I'll just have to deal with that. It made me a little down overnight but its really a pretty minor thing to deal with in the grand scheme of things.

I've been all over the internet (the doctor was nice but his English language was pretty limited so It was helpful to double check) and whilst its made me a bit squeamish about it, pretty much everything says that there is no risk to the baby. There is a slight MC risk if they remove it so I'm happy for it to be left. The doctor said the standard risk of it being cancerous were 1% and that in his judgement he could 'tell it wasn't by looking at it'.

The main worry is that it could cause bleeding at anytime so sorry in advance if I have any mini panics in the next few months!

cherrycherry41 · 10/05/2013 14:35

great news legally! Grin

bronze think youre making the right choice leaving it until afterbirth. I can imagine they will give you plenty of pain relief so try not to worry! And step away from dr google!
Sounds promising though Smile
