Hi clap. Thanks. Feeling better. But getting really down in the dumps as I've not been out. I have canine fever. SIL has offered to take me to her home tomorrow for a change. Can't really go out as sitting n walking is to difficult.
Bunch of ppl are going for dinner on Sunday. Really tempted to join then. But also very awear of doing to much to soon.

OrangeBlossom2 · 09/05/2013 06:36

Hope the scan goes well bronze, and after you know all is well you can enjoy the extra sneaky peak.

Went to the chiropractor yesterday and woken up with hips and legs more sore than before Hmm (go for car accident/neck but she looked at pregnancy aches too)

PseudoBadger · 09/05/2013 07:08

Good luck today Bronze, I'll be at the Whitt this afternoon for my consultant appointment.

I've got a job interview this lunchtime, so nervous!

Claphammama · 09/05/2013 07:42

Shootingstarsandcomets · 09/05/2013 09:58

Great scan news pink. Car believe that we're on 20 week scans already- mine isn't for 4 weeks though so feels like an age away.
Hope your scan goes well today bronze

cazboldy · 09/05/2013 10:21

good Luck bronze and badger

Congrats on the good scan news Smile

Falcon - Big Hugs - I would be furious if anyone hit one of my dc!

I have woken up with a sore throat and a stuffy nose and a headache and every time i blow my nose it makes me be sick! Never had this before - seems really strange!

roofio87 · 09/05/2013 10:30

well I've just (!!) woken up from my first heart burn free nights sleep in so long. I'm so happy. those tablets really are great!!

good luck with ur interview pseudo

roxvox · 09/05/2013 10:48

Orange I always feel worse for a couple of days after a physio visit, so I assume it's the same with a chiropractor! Hope you feel better soon.

Good luck today bronze and badger!

Glad you had a good nights sleep roofio. I fortunately haven't suffered too badly with heartburn, only getting it a couple of times a week and then it's nothing a single Rennie can't rectify. That's rubbish that you have been suffering so badly with it though. I hope these tablets are a long term answer for you!

Is anyone else suffering with a bad back? Our bed is supremely comfortable, but I seem to suffer with a bad back every day. I don't have too much of a bump so I can't blame it on a weight increase to the front either!

Smitten1981 · 09/05/2013 11:26

Just back from my 16 week appt. Had a midwife and a trainee. The trainee was lovely and did all the checks while the midwife did the admin.

The midwife kept talking over me and wouldn't listen to me, so annoying. She seemed unbothered about the CVS and didn't ask any questions.

I said I wanted to transfer hospitals and she rolled her eyes when I said I didn't want to go to her hospital and then said she didn't have the forms and will have to call me later.

No idea what the heart rate was as I wasn't told. Also they said my wee sample had blood and leukosites (sp?) in. And asked if I had thrush. I was like "yes, for two months now and it won't go". She didn't say anything else about that.

I'm getting bored of being treated so shoddily. Hopefully they'll be better at the new hospital.

Having said that the trainee was lovely, I wish she was the one in charge.

Pannacotta2013 · 09/05/2013 12:07

Very good luck with your interview pseudobadger!

Falcon that is really upsetting about your father. Do you rely on him for childcare?

Sparkeleigh · 09/05/2013 12:18

Flip, she sounds useless smitten, can you get the forms from anywhere else? At least you're left with no doubt you're doing the right thing by changing hospitals, you wouldn't want her anywhere near you at the birth!

TheFalconsmistress · 09/05/2013 12:43

Just back from my 20 week scan Willow is perfect bang on for dates, I found out I have an anterior placenta so I know why I can feel proper big kicks Smile

textbook · 09/05/2013 13:12

Ooooh pinkbuttons we are 20wk scan buddies - what time is yours next Thursday?

TheFalconsmistress · 09/05/2013 13:36

cant not can lol

Natalieand · 09/05/2013 13:38

What time is your scan bronze? Thinking of u cx

Just had another nose bleed here but also roxvox I have had a bad back, since I have been pregnant I have had the odd day of a bad back but now its been constant for about 5 days. When I saw my consultant I asked if I could use deep heat, and she said its fine as long as I'm not using loads of it all of the time so I save it for when its at its worst

Sorry to hear u had such a crappy midwife smitten hope u get your transfer sooner rather than later xxx

Just purchased a baby bouncer a play mat and a cot mobile and a luxury blanket all for £45 from Asda. Well chuffed with my purchases :-)

I'm on my way home from work. I've got a headache, neck pain and general ache which paracetamol isn't touching, then I was sick worse than I've ever been at work. People noticed I wasn't myself and asked me what was wrong and I burst into tears. I'd found myself office work to do this morning but I would have had to see patients this afternoon and I'm in no state to do that.

My colleagues were lovely and supportive but I'm so embarrassed. I've never left work like this and I hate potentially leaving my work for others to do.

Sorry for the long, rambling, complaining rant everyone.

Natalieand · 09/05/2013 14:26

What do u do for a living ana

OP posts:
ananikifo · 09/05/2013 14:28

I'm a dietitian.

ananikifo · 09/05/2013 14:30

The work I've had to leave can wait until tomorrow (or my colleagues would have had to cover it this afternoon) but I do have my own caseload and I hate to leave others to do what I feel is my work.

Warlin · 09/05/2013 14:45

Hi All

sorry you're not feeling well anan but don't feel guilty, people understand I think.

Yeah falcon to little Willow passing her scan :) Must have been so nice to see her again. And how cross you must be with your dad. I would be so so cross if anyone hit my ds. I hope you let him know he was out of order and that's not the way you want your children raised.

smitten how rude. Sometimes the care on the NHS is so shoddy. And everything is such a hassle. When I asked to change my address when at our 12 week scan I got told "well I will then have to do out all new labels for you" and gave me the biggest scowl ever. She was about to go on her tea break and clearly couldn't be arsed.

roofio I am stuffed with the cold too...vomited all day Monday, sore chest yesterday and now full blown cold today. I feel miserable. I think you pick things up much easier when pregnant.

I am just so so tired today and can't wait to go home. I seem to never stop with having a baby to look after (who is going through a sleep refusal stage), work and dog walking. I know others do it and more but I just find it exhausting. Luckily I am off on Fridays (I do 4 long days) so it's nearly the weekend.

Hope the interview went well pseudo

ananikifo · 09/05/2013 15:12

Thanks warlin. Normally I am pretty healthy and very, very rarely call in sick. I think I just feel vulnerable having to admit that I can't do everything today.

Shootingstarsandcomets · 09/05/2013 15:19

Anyone who's been pregnant will understand ana, you can't help it. I'm fed up today what is the weathe doing?! So sunny and hot and now ten degrees colder and raining- ugh! I have bought a pair of hareem trousers with an elastic waist- they look ugly as sin on me but they are comfy Smile. Packing our cases for a weekend away in the Cotswolds for a wedding, we are taking the dog so he gets a break too, I hope it's sunny there at least for the wedding.
Yay for more good scan news falcon!

GTbaby · 09/05/2013 15:32

Roofio. I'm a constant one with back ache. Which actually got better during pregnancy last time! However try sleeping in your side and legs bent with a pillow between the knees. U feel silly doing at first. But now I can't sleep without doing this. Just don't feel comfy. If u sleep on your back. Put pillow under ur knee so ur knees are bent.

Follow general good posture guidelines. There is Loads of info online about this. Even things u think are silly make a difference ( making sure ur feet are flat on floor- putting a rest under feet to lift them up made a massive difference to my leg ache)

pinkbuttons · 09/05/2013 15:39

sorry to hear you feeling ill ana as everyones already said dont feel guilty for being ill, your colleagues will know that its not normal for you and im sure will be more than happy to help.
yey on another positive scan falcon thats great news.
My scan is at 9:55 textbook what times yours?
