Just starting a new thread as we're starting to run out of room on the first. www.mumsnet.com/Talk/antenatal_clubs/a1716486-December-2013#38680515

I seem to be having the same craving as I did with Ds, I wonder if this bean is another boy hmmm. Philly on hot buttery toast btw yum :)

QueenofWhispers · 26/04/2013 20:31

i couldn't find toast...had to settle for a low calorie croissant+ salted organic butter (heavenly) + Smuckers Grape jam---

it tasted like my child hood -the croissant.

inkymomma · 26/04/2013 20:51

I've just got a craving for scrambled eggs on wholemeal toast so DH is kindly cooking it for me

inkymomma · 26/04/2013 21:06

That may be my new favourite thing to eat Smile

QueenofWhispers · 26/04/2013 21:10

i hate most men during pregnancy, but I really love my dh+ds ridiculously more.

i'm having a baby!!! yayayayayayayayay!!!! we all are. woohooo!

SadPander · 26/04/2013 21:13

Hi Ladies, hope you're all doing okay, could I join please? I'm expecting no 1 on the 31st December (according to my calculations). No idea what I'm doing really, have filled in some forms at GP surgery and called the hospital to book my scan and 1st appointment as instructed, only be told its too early and I can't book till 7 weeks! Guess I'm getting a bit ahead of myself?! The GP receptionist said I need pack from them but they can't find any to give me -love my Doctors!

dutchyoriginal · 26/04/2013 21:51

Mildred, ooh thank you for that info! Called the midwife this week and have a first interview/intake in two weeks (at 8 weeks). My dating scan is planned for two weeks later, at 10 weeks.

She also calculated an EDD of 17th Dec. My mum's bday is the 14th, so a present for her. :-)

Does anybody else have heartburn (just skimmed posts)? With DS I had it in the second half, but over the last 2-3 days, it's already started. I also feel bloated, just like most of you.

PistachioTruffle · 26/04/2013 21:58

Thankyou everyone, and hooray for harry78's beanie too!

Taking, a scan every week sounds brilliant! Slightly Envy though! Grin

Feather and 2labs, I'm sorry you're still having to go through this Sad I'm keeping my fingers crossed things settle down soon.

Welcome penguinita and sadpander !

DaisySwann · 26/04/2013 22:40

Hi - brilliant news on all the happy scans! I've got mine booked for Tuesday, feeling excited/nervous. Sickness has totally kicked in this week and hormones have gone crazy. Cried at Masterchef this evening!!! Hope everyone's had a good evening xx

Frenelder · 26/04/2013 22:46

Don't think my 1st post saved & can't see it sorry if I'm on twice though.

Hi All,
I'm PG with #1 & EDD is 8th Dec we have our 1st scan on 3rd May & very excited especially DH so he can feel a bit more involved & connected to DC.
Very happy to be PG but a little shocked its no where net the romantic idea of it in my head - flourishing? I think not.
I'm feeling really ill, tired & nausious about 80% of the day. All I want to do is sleep & can't manage my full hours at work hoping things get easier after 12 weeks.

Penguinita · 26/04/2013 23:03

Thanks for the welcome!

Sadpander my doctor was pretty rubbish too, just checked my blood pressure and gave me a post it note with a scribbled phone number for the midwife. The midwife's receptionist was very vague as well, she didn't even take my due date and said my appointment would be "a good half hour". So I have my first midwife appointment next week, but no idea if it is a proper booking appointment (hope so!) or just a pre-booking.

So I'm sitting here on a Friday night and missing my usual glass of red. Does anyone have any good recommendations for non-alcoholic replacements?

musiceverywhere · 27/04/2013 00:02

Hi everyone, been a busy few days so no posting but have been keeping up to date with you all. Hi to new ladies! [waves] Congrats to all the positive scans and heartbeats. Feather, I really feel for you. The anxiety is so hard, did you look at the 'mindfulness' stuff that someone mentioned on last thread?
I'm also a healthcare professional in v busy hospital aren't they all?
My spotting continued, so have spoken to our EPAU and am having HCG levels checked and quick scan tomorrow morning. eek!
I just hate this 'limbo' feeling. I have such a lack of symptoms, having trouble really believing I'm pregnant at all. I know I'm really lucky for them to do this, but I was going to end up going to GP anyway and at least this way I don't have to take any time off work.
I've already arranged my first midwife appointment for a day that I'm off work so I'm doing my best not to be too inconvenient. I agree that they can be some of the least understanding employers when it comes to sickness!
Anyway bed time! Hope everyone has a peaceful night.

Harry, I am also quite grumpy, it's like constant PMT combined with tiredness and nausea. Not surprising really!

I had a scan on thurs, 8 weeks and saw the heartbeat, I got very emotional! After 10yrs TTC this is finally starting to feel real Smile

inkymomma · 27/04/2013 08:40

I've got terrible tummy ache today. Feels like period pains. Is this normal? I keep running to the toilet to check for bleeding.
Didn't have this with my first pregnancy

musiceverywhere · 27/04/2013 09:54

Sitting in EPAU waiting room, waiting to speak to Drs. Well there's a baby in there! With a heartbeat (at 6+2) so that's good. But they've spotted a cyst.. Won't know anymore until speak to Dr. Stressed Hmm anyone had experience of this?

kyz1981 · 27/04/2013 10:25

musiceverywhere- I had a cyst on my ovary in my first Pg - it was found during an early scan for light spotting and pain, they told me it was normal and should go by 20 weeks- It had- not sure of your type but it could just be one like mine which is very common in pg I am led to believe.

FluffyDucky · 27/04/2013 10:58

Harry I know how you feel, just take each morning as they come.
I'm so bloody tired this morning, felt like hubby woke me up from sleeping, I don't feel like I gently woke up. Really don't feel like taking to anyone this morning, which off just great as I'm at work!
Feel very dizzy & pretty sick this morning, doing my best to get through it. Gonna be a long day!

musiceverywhere · 27/04/2013 11:02

Seen dr, just called DH in tears. Hmm
Apparently it's a dermoid cyst, which is more solid than the more common fluid filled ones. It's just outside my uterus and is quite a substantial size.
They need to remove it, as risk of contortion and then affecting uterus, but as pregnancy so early they won't do it yet as too risky. Need to wait until about 5 months gone then will need proper surgery as its too big for laparoscopic procedure.
Totally in shock, never had surgery before. Said I'll now be under a consultant for rest of pregnancy.
Just want to talk to my mum now! Am supposed to be working all weekend, going to see if a colleague will cover as my brain is a mess.
There goes a straightforward pregnancy!

Ganetgob · 27/04/2013 11:16

I'm sorry you've had rubbish news music. However, they know what the problems and risks are and you are going to be well looked after! Your baby is fine too, so that's great news.

Good idea to have your shift covered. Go and see hubby and mum. Have a cry if you need it and try and relax as much as you can.

Hope everyone is ok. I'm pottering along. I'm grumpy and emotional. Had a huge argument with dh yesterday because he dared to give me an extra sausage! That bastard! (Crazy lady!)

Have a lovely weekend all! Grin

PistachioTruffle · 27/04/2013 11:42

music' I'm sorry you've had such worrying news, I agree with Ganet though, it sounds as if you will be well looked after and carefully monitored during your pregnancy. Fingers crossed you can get your shifts covered, look after yourself and try to take it easy this weekend.

weechops · 27/04/2013 12:57

Inky I'm still getting period type pains occasionally and I'm 7+2 today. Its just everything stretching, try not to worry.

Music sorry you've had worrying news but you'll have the best of care, and definitely talk to your mum.

FoxyRoxy · 27/04/2013 14:11

Cooee! Sorry I've been AWOL again both ds's have been poorly! Will catch up and have a quick read through now :) hope everyone is doing ok and welcome to any newbies!

FoxyRoxy · 27/04/2013 14:13

music so sorry to hear you've got to have surgery :( must be a really worrying time for you. Sending you (very un-mnetty) hugs.

AbiElizabeth · 27/04/2013 14:58
