Any one else hoping for a 2014 baby?

I'm hesitantly dipping my baby toe in the pool after having a mc last October. I'm 4+2 today with my first and hoping and praying this one sticks.

Here's to 2014!

Sultanajo · 13/05/2013 17:58

Aw Penny glad u r feeling better after a private vom! My booking appointment last time was late also and I stressed about the scan appointment, but it came thru really quickly after my appointment so I needed have worried - although I did have jiggle some work things around....

Sultanajo · 13/05/2013 17:59

Great stuff foody. Nice to have an abdo scan so early - how lucky! X

MrsGSR · 13/05/2013 18:13

Those who are booking private scans, what week are you hoping to have them?

Frogcatcher · 13/05/2013 18:40

I've not spoken to dr yet but the local private clinic I've found that does them says anything from 7 wks. It says that 7-8wks may need to be internal. If you get one at an EPU it seems to be different but I don't think I can self-refer to any near me.

toby I've surprised myself! I'm really sick so taking that as a positive sign for now. I don't think I've got the energy to worry at the moment!

I'm wondering how mismakes is doing

missmakesstuff · 13/05/2013 18:47

Thanks all for your thoughts over the last few days and my thoughts are with you vengeful and little, I had my scan this morning and they found nothing, very faint line on test, so it is gone. I am very lucky to have got off lightly with only a couple of days of bleeding, not much pain either. It obviously hadn't developed very far. The crappy thing is I still have painful boobs and nausea, hoping this will go soon. Keep having wobbles and tearful moments, going to take afew days off work and rest, sounds silly but bought a lavender plant yesterday, will plant it tomorrow to sort of remember. Good luck to you all and your lovely bumps, hopefully I will be on a similar thread in a few months time. In mumsnetty xxx and hugs to all of you in the same boat.

Penny31 · 13/05/2013 18:50

I'm sorry mismakes I was just thinking about you. Look after yourself. Hugs xxx

HabitualHobbyist · 13/05/2013 18:50

Vengeful and Littleball I'm very sorry to hear of your news. I understand you not wanting to continue with the thread but hope you get a sticky bean soon and would love for you to update us when you do (thinking lovely positive thoughts for you) Flowers

I had my first GP appointment today and he didn't do/tell me anything I couldn't have done or hadn't found out myself. Now have my first midwife appointment for next week so hopefully 12 scan will be on time. Feel abit in limbo at the moment - still doesn't feel fully real (don't think it will until first scan) but am experiencing enough symptoms to know it is real (and also nervous when the symptoms fluctuate day to day). As a few have said, never wished for vomitting quite as much as I am now!

LittlePeaPod · 13/05/2013 18:52

MissMakes. I am so sorry for your loss. I think it's wonderful you will be planting the lavender to remember. It's totally natural to go from one emotion to another. Flowers

Missmakes I'm so sorry to hear that. What a lovely idea to plant the lavender! Thinking of you xx

TobyLerone · 13/05/2013 20:31

I'm sorry, missmakes. The lavender isn't silly at all. It's lovely.

fryingpantoface · 13/05/2013 21:09

I'm so sorry about your loss missmakes x

HumptyDumptyBumpty · 13/05/2013 21:12

missmakes not a silly idea at all, and lavender is my favourite scented plant, I think it's a lovely thing to do and i hope it makes you feel better. I'm so sorry to hear your news, i was hoping it would be okay for you.
Take care of yourself.

MrsAVB · 13/05/2013 21:36

little, vengeful and missmakes, so sorry to hear your news. I really wish you all the best. Xxx
Thanks for all of your wishes re. my pity-wallow-of-sickness. Am feeling a little better and changing my routine so that I shower & do virtually everything in the evening, but still get up at the same time so I have time to vom and still get to work in the morning. DH is being a star, I'm very lucky. I think I just need to channel some positive thinking to get through it. NHS direct were very helpful, advised me to keep an eye on getting dehydrated and weight loss and if either of these got worse to go to the GP.
humpty best of luck for tomorrow!
X

missmakesstuff · 13/05/2013 21:39

Thanks all - good luck to you all, I am just now waiting on one last set of bloods they want to take on Wednesday to make sure they are going down as apparently they are low but 'not in the normal range' and then can move on, we will probably try asap, will pop in on the thread around Jan to see how your beans are doing. I am feeling ok, it's all going to be fine, I now have Wine.
