Any one else hoping for a 2014 baby?

I'm hesitantly dipping my baby toe in the pool after having a mc last October. I'm 4+2 today with my first and hoping and praying this one sticks.

Here's to 2014!

Thanks toby I just have no idea how to track it myself now like when will I be 6 weeks? I guess it doesn't matter that much!!

Good luck yoni

MrsGSR · 13/05/2013 10:31

So sorry Vengeful

Good luck Yoni!

I've just got back from the GP, I have a midwife appointment for the 11th of June (they wont see you here until your 8 weeks+), Doctor confirmed they'll only scan me at 12 and 20 weeks, but I'm hoping to get a private scan sometime before I go home to see my family at 10 weeks. I've just tried to put up the blind in the living room and it's all completely fallen down, so that's a job for DH when he gets home!

LittlePeaPod · 13/05/2013 10:33

YoniIf good luck with the scan later.

MTBMummy · 13/05/2013 11:01

Hope the scan goes well Yoni x

VengefulCrumpet · 13/05/2013 11:03

Thank you all for the support.

I've just done a pregnancy test and there is no second line at all. It's safe to assume I'm no longer pregnant.

I will take it easy and just keep trying I suppose.

Thanks again to everyone for their thoughts.

Good luck to you all. I hope you all have fabulous, lovely pregnancies.

A quick couple of questions, if anyone has any thoughts...

I work myself to be 5 +3, but when chatting to DSis this weekend, I mentioned my last period (in April) was exceptionally light and only lasted one day (and I didn't test after that) - is it possible that I could be further along, clear blue test last week gave me a 2-3 week result, so it's unlikely that I'm further along right?

And secondly - to those of you with DC's already - would you consider taking your DC's with you to your scan? I'm in two minds, DD (3.5) would love to be there and would be so excited to see her new sibling, but if it's bad news I really wouldn't want her there, I also remember when pg with DD the waiting room was full of badly behaved children, all running about screaming and shouting, DD is generally an angel but like all kids does get bored.

chocoloulou33 · 13/05/2013 11:15

Sorry to hear your news vengeful please do get checked out by the doctor. They may want to scan you.
wardy try not to worry about your dates, I know its a pain. Just go by the last day of your af at the moment & when they scan u it may change a bit. That's what happened with me with dd as I had longer cycles. I think my dates like yours will prob be a bit out this time too as I ovulate late. EXTREME tiredness over here

TobyLerone · 13/05/2013 11:16

Thinking of you yoni.

MTB, I wouldn't take a small child to a scan. Lots of hospitals don't like you to anyway.

Sorry, vengeful :( Look after yourself.

Frizz1986 · 13/05/2013 11:26

So sorry vengeful I hope that you have more success next time.

SunnySentiments · 13/05/2013 11:28

Hugs and Flowers for you Vengeful

Good luck Yoni let us know how you get on.

HumptyDumptyBumpty · 13/05/2013 11:35

MrsAVB sorry you have such bad symptoms - hope you're managing okay. And yes, my boss is a cockwomble, I hope I won't go back after ML - will depend on Mr Humpty's job though. Would be nice to tell boss 'oh, yes, sorry, not coming back. BECAUSE I HATE YOU', but may be a pipedream.

MissMedusa are you in the US? Or have I missed Mother's Day?! So sorry you're struggling this week, everything crossed for you.

missmakes and extra you're both having scans today, aren't you? Fingers and toes and eyes crossed for good news.

yoni hope everything goes okay for you - let us know as soon as you do!

Vengeful I'm sorry to hear your news, that's hard. I do hope you manage to get to see the EPU, and feel better soon. Take care of yourself.

MissMedusa · 13/05/2013 11:54

I'm in Germany but my parents are in Canada (both celebrated mother's yesterday). I'm not even really sure whether she would want to be there. They'll be here for a visit next week so I'll feel it out and see whether she frustrates me or not.

I'm so sorry about your news vengeful

Hi ladies. Really sorry on my phone, at work so not had a chance to catch up on thread. Will catch up tonight. Just hoping for some advice from ladies with morning sickness. When it first started. Did you feel a bit queasy and like your tummy was full of water swishing around? Not feeling to cleaver today.

chocoholicalcoholic · 13/05/2013 13:45

Pod - yep, queasy and swishy unsettled tummy describes it well, do you feel like you need to eat something but don't actually want it too? Also quite gaggy! Charming isn't it!

chocoholicalcoholic · 13/05/2013 13:50

Thanks to those who mentioned the pulling heavy feeling, it's a bit duller today, pretty sure it is just stretching as I seem to remember it from previous pregnancies now that I'm not panicking!

Sorry to hear your sad news vengeful. Good luck for the future, take care of yourself.

extracrunchy · 13/05/2013 13:54

Swishy - exactly. My scan's next Monday. Wish it was today!!

YoniIfYouSayPlease · 13/05/2013 14:05

Scan went ok, baby measuring 7+4 with a HB, so spot on because I ovulate on CD10.

DP cried, it was lovely.

LittleBallOfFur · 13/05/2013 14:09

Hi all.

vengeful so sorry for your loss. It's heartbreaking.

I've posted a couple of times - had my appointment at the epac today. Unfortunately scans have proven my worst fears and there's no sign of baby, so it looks like I have miscarried. Counting my blessings that it happened so early on and that I knew what was happening (I knew in my heart yesterday really).

So I shall be bowing out of this thread - just wanted to thank everyone again for their kind thoughts and wish you all happy and healthy pregnancies. Good luck to everyone else having scans soon Flowers.

blondebaby111 · 13/05/2013 14:10

Hi ladies, just checking in again, haven't managed to get on here much and the thread goes so fast I can't keep up!! I'm 5 weeks today, doc app tomorrow. I've been fairly lucky so far, no real symtoms other than itchy sore boobs and a bit of tiredness but today my work trousers seem really really tight, I've had to undo my button while I eat lunch just for some relief Shock its too early surely to put weight on yet or is it just water retention??

MrsGSR · 13/05/2013 14:10

So happy for you Yoni :)
My mum used to swear by sucking on mints when travel sick so I bought some today as I had a little bit of morning sickness. They helped a bit but I was only a tiny bit nauseous.

YoniIfYouSayPlease · 13/05/2013 14:12

Sorry to hear of the losses, makes me feel bad about a healthy scan now :(

Hope you are all holding up ok xxx Flowers

blondebaby111 · 13/05/2013 14:13

Vengeful and balloffur, so sorry to read your posts. Just want to send you both a hug..its such a fragile awful time and one that has no guarantees til the scan, hope your both ok Flowers

MrsGSR · 13/05/2013 14:13

So sorry LittleBallOfFur

Blondebaby I've been undoing my jeans when lounging at home, but I think it's just because I'm so bloated!

chocoloulou33 · 13/05/2013 14:14

Oh no little so sorry to hear that. Take car of yourself xxxxx

LittleBallOfFur · 13/05/2013 14:18

Don't feel bad yoni, it's nice to hear good news.

Sat watching totoro and having cuddles with ds - he doesn't know what's happened but seems to know something's up, so lots of cuddles this afternoon.
