Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
Bunnychan · 23/05/2013 07:16

Well today's my due date and... Nothing! I really hope something starts soon as I'm bored out of my mind! X

Livingwithmymother · 23/05/2013 09:13

40+5... Still pregnant.... Slowly losing the will to live.

shelly81 · 23/05/2013 09:16

Snap living felling so effin pi*#ed off & hormonal today aswell lol x

DXBMermaid · 23/05/2013 10:16

At least I have blueberry muffins as a result of my night time cooking :)

Did have some contractions/BH last night and think the baby has moved a little further down (or is that just wishful thinking??).

Off for a walk soon.

TigerSwallowTail · 23/05/2013 10:44

40+1 and no sign of any show or twinges, I was feeling pretty crappy and annoyed today but have just got an email letting me know I was offered an unconditional placement for a postgrad I applied for :o it's completely brightened up my day!

Bunnychan · 23/05/2013 11:50

Just had a midwife appointment and my baby still isn't even engaged. I have a sweep booked for next Friday! I'm gonna be here for ever! I've decided to console myself by having a macdonalds for lunch :-s x

Bunnychan · 23/05/2013 11:50

Congratulations tiger! That's exciting news, what do you intend to study? X

lollypopsicle · 23/05/2013 12:01

D day here too.
bunny fear not. Being engaged doesn't mean much- mine has been fully engaged for 2 wks now and I'm still waiting. with DS he didn't engage until i went into labour.

We might well end up sweep buddies on Friday (most likely done by the same person which is a bit of a weird thought!!!) it worked for me last time...really want this baby out before then though.

Loving all the baby pics on fb and reading everyone's birth stories. Hang on in there everyone else. Our time will come and it really isn't that long for any of us now.

Come what may, I will be having a baby in the next 2 weeks Grin just trying to stay positive and enjoy the fact my heartburn is loads better now.

40 wks

TigerSwallowTail · 23/05/2013 12:04

Thanks :o It's a postgrad in counselling psychology, and next year once I've completed the course I'll be COSCA approved too so can be a professional counsellor. I'm really excited.

Good luck with the sweep next week. I've got a sweep on Tuesday, I've never had one before so am quite nervous but I've went through childbirth before so I really shouldn't be worried about this.

TigerSwallowTail · 23/05/2013 12:06

Just a thought, if our babies aren't born in the next 8 days (I dread the thought of still being pregnant 8 days from now), they'll be little June babies instead.

BeauticianNotMagician · 23/05/2013 12:26

I really recommend the walking to you all. It would have to be a major co incidence that Ive gone into labour with all three of mine within 24 hours of a walk.

Don't be disheartened about not being engaged. Babies often don't engage until labour. Also twinge/ show wise I had nothing. I only lost my plug 7 hours after first contractions started and my waters went once again whilst pushing. So it really could be any time now for you all Smile

babygeek · 23/05/2013 12:50

Just had my 41+1 MW appt and sweep. MW said that little has changed since last week Confused , although she said that I was favourable last week so was a bit surprised that I hadn't popped. My induction is booked for Monday but hopefully I will progress before then. I am having a few sporadic contractions that are a bit more painful than usual but not sure if it is just pain from the sweep.

Just consoling myself with some yummy roast chicken and coleslaw. Would be fine if I wasn't a vegetarian! Blush Oopsie! Mum, DXB, blueberry muffins. Sounds good.

Tiger, congrats on your good news. Wine

Beaut, might try a good walk this afternoon.

aberjen · 23/05/2013 18:13

Hi all Just popping in quickly to say congrats to all of you with new arrivals and fingers crossed/good luck to those still waiting. Smile

Today would have been my due date, can't quite believe we have a 12 day old chunky monkey already! Yesterday she was already 6 oz over her birth weight, struggle now is keeping up with how often/much she wants to feed... Have been struggling a bit emotionally too but think am turning a corner and the postnatal care has been exceptional - midwives have been amazing.

To those still waiting, I had no signs of imminent labour at all until my show and was convinced would go over - no bh, bump hadn't dropped etc. Show started at 37+6. At 38+1 was 1/5 engaged. Went into labour at 38+2. Waters broke in the maternity assessment unit waiting area! So, anything can happen!

Right, time to grab a quick shower while I can, then more feeding and snuggles!

scooby26 · 23/05/2013 23:17

Evening

Due tomorrow- had period type pains today which I kinda put down to my clothes being too tight ( I know it sounds mad) so when DS went
To bed I put on a comfy nightie ( rock n roll me!). Since then It seems to me like I'm getting contractions- not terribly painful... every 6m or so lasting one min,,, question is are they gonna disappear?! Staying up watching tv as woudnt be able to sleep thro them anyway. Sure I'll b back to square one tomorrow am- will have had no sleep and got very sad funeral to attend :-(

BeauticianNotMagician · 24/05/2013 05:33

Scooby I started off with regular but are they aren't they period type pains. Fingers crossed this is it for you Smile

BeauticianNotMagician · 24/05/2013 07:02

Is there a post natal thread yet as I can't find it? If not is it ok if I start one.

I know some are still waiting but quite a few have popped now. I mean 10 and Maybe had theirs a good while ago now. I don't think anyone will miss out. Like I just said on fb if someone has problems etc with a newborn you won't need to be scrolling back through looking for answers just ask and share like we have been on here Smile

Bunnychan · 24/05/2013 07:13

beaut I hope I can join it soon lol! X
