Went to the EPU this morning because along with the sickness vanishing I've been having a few wierd pains. Really sharp jabbing type pains, nothing like I remebered at this stage before. Paranoia went through the roof so I blagged an appt (it's an appt only EPU and I just turned up)

They aren't agony by any means but it's a constant niggle IYKWIM.

Had an internal scan which showed a teeny weeny little dot in a egg sack. I thought I was over 6 weeks but she seem to think I'm not that yet....anyway my teeny weeny little dot had an even teeny weenier heart beat.

Pains have been put down to ligaments and uterus stretching etc.

Glad everything is ok LTH Smile

Hope everyone else with spotting etc is feeling ok.

LTH: I had exactly the same, no symptoms for 2 days but believe me they are back and then some lol!!!

LadyTophamHatt · 19/05/2006 13:08

Ohhh, I'll look forward to it returning then magnoliaGrin

(the wierd thing is, we all know that I really mean that...I'll welcome the sickness back with open armsGrin)

Lol..... It's silly isn't it!! I,m not feeling too sick but I have to have a feel of my boobs every hour or so just to check they still hurt! Grin

Loubie37 · 19/05/2006 13:40

Gosh this is such a rollercoaster of emotions isn't it?? I thought my spotting episode was behind me only to get the shock of my life when I went to the loo earlier and there was red blood on the tp when I wiped :(:(:( It was only the once (just like it was on Wednesday evening) and has gone back to brown already but it still scares the life out of me. There's no point me ringing the doctors as they've already scheduled me in for another blood test on Monday morning, and it's still too early for a scan for me so all I can do is sit here, put my feet up and hope for the best :(

Hope everyone else is well?

Will do another pg test tonight just to put my mind at rest...I've got 2 left!

Loubie xx
5+4

We have builders doing some work on the house and I'm sure they think I'm the laziest person alive! Can't wait for my first antenatal appointment but it's not for another three weeks!

indignatio · 19/05/2006 13:47

magnolia1 · 19/05/2006 14:33

Loubie hun, try to rest up and not worry to much which as I type I know it's the silliest thing to say Blush xxxxx

LadyTophamHatt · 19/05/2006 14:37

Loubie, the scan I had this morning put me at under 6 weeks so if you're 5+4 you could have scan, it'll be an internal one but might give you some answers.

I really hope it all turns out ok for youSmile

Hi everyone hope you are all ok im fine I had my first midwife appointment yesterday they took loads of blood Shock it bloody well hurt !!!! Im really worried iv got no symptoms only tiredness and that is it my boobs are fine, no sickness Sad midwife has tried to reassure me but it hasnt helped. Glad to hear most of you are ok, keep your chin up.

Hattie2 · 19/05/2006 14:50

LTH - Pleased to hear everything is OK, it's weird to see the tiny little 'sac' isn't it? Mine only measured 3.6mm so why are my clothes so blooming tight all of a sudden?

Went out for dinner last night (dh's b'day) to my fave Tapas restaurant and found I really didn't fancy any of the things I usually love there. Don't remember any going off anything in last pg but did get an odd craving for mint choc chip ice cream (which I usually hate).

Fingers crossed for everyone who's not feeling well at the moment.

elliepippamummy · 19/05/2006 14:53

Hello everyone

Loubie I am positive that you'll be fine more people I talk to the more common bleeding (red&brown) and aching etc seems to be, I know you are feeling apprehensive I am the same waiting for my scan. I phone my EPAC unit to see if they could see me any earlier that Weds and they said no if I was that worried I should go back to GP. Phoned them this morning and spoke to DR who said he thought it was highly unlikely my aching in one side was ectopic and that I just need to wait till Weds (although suggested taking wee sample in to check for water infection!!)

Have to say since yesterday aching really has gone and I've made a real effort to drink loads of water and be positive. I'm at work today so quite relaxing sitting down all day rather than chasing after DD.

Still ghot tiredness, sore boobs and my trousers are starting to get a little tight so all signs looking ok. Glad to hear so many of you are feeling okay and chat soon
xx

posyparker · 19/05/2006 15:23

Hi all, just to let you know that I had my scan (internal) at EPU this morning and all looks fine. Saw tiny heartbeat too, LTH! Spotting/bleeding has stopped (for now?) altho I am still getting mild af-like cramps. They are putting this down to ligament stretching (can't remember this from 2 earlier pg's though). Told me not to worry, although "it could still go either way". Suppose they need to say that this early, don't they? Hope you are all well and not worrying too much! PPxxx

MerlinsBeard · 19/05/2006 15:34

Hello all. Hope it's ok to join your disscussions? Smile I have spent the last half an hour reading all your posts and feel for each and everyone of you. I am due 12th January and am not booked to see the midwife untill i am 12 weeks!Angry that is the policy at my doctors. So i am guessing that i won't get a scan till 20 weeks!?!The problem is that this time round i am experiencing really bad dull backpain that does not ease and slight pinching pain all over my belly...anyone know what this could be? or experienced this to?

Hope everyone is doing ok.x.

for all your info...
I am 28, with partner for 9 years...not married YET! we have 1 daughter aged 5 and have tried for the last three years for this baby, all the family are keeping their fingers crossed! Thats the thing i'd like to add..ism that i feel that i am letting all the family down if anything goes wrong...I AM A MENTAL WORRYING MESS!!!!

LadyTophamHatt · 19/05/2006 18:39

Hi jess - welcome :)

No advice on the medical stuff I'm afraid but please try not to worry about letting your family down. We've only told a couple of family and friends so far but if I hear "about time" any more I'll strangle someone!

laughalot · 19/05/2006 18:57

MerlinsBeard · 19/05/2006 21:06

HI Jess :)

I have no clue when i am due but am about 7/8 weeks ish (unplanned - dunno dates yet!) I have had back pains too but eased at mo. We also don't book in with mw until 10 - 12 weeks but they arrange scan at booking in so thats ok :)

laughalot · 20/05/2006 10:29

Hi ladies hope you are all well im really tired today when my ds has his nap later im going to get my head down. Hope everyone is feeling ok Smile

Choccamocha · 20/05/2006 11:44

Hi Jessddibs - The midwives in my area don't do any booking in until 12 weeks either. I don't have many appts after that either (unless there are problems).

I was a little miffed with my ds3 (6 1/2 months) as I felt a little neglected. Then a scan picked up dilated kidneys at 34 weeks and I had weekly appts from then on.

I'm hoping for a happy and stress free pregnancy this time and am determined not to panic at all the niggles I'm getting. Well, I'm trying lol

magnolia1 · 20/05/2006 12:18

LTH: I promise not to leave you all!! Grin

Welcome Jess, niggly pains are normal but if you are anything like us lot you will worry anyway Wink

LadyTophamHatt · 20/05/2006 12:36

MagnoliaGrin

Feel absolutley exhausted today but think it's more due to late nights (and Big brother!!) rather than hormones.
No sickness again today.
