Hi there TR.

Glad toothache eased LTH.

Def agree with the wind prob. My ds can be blamed for most as he already has a reputation!

Nearly fainted in the shower this morning. Very scary and got paranoid about fainting while carrying ds so have been going down the stairs on my bum! Have already fallen down the stairs with him once when he was younger so dont want them to think I am throwing him down the stairs!

Went in this morning to find him sat on the floor out of his cot for the first time. Couldn't understand how he had done it as he cant really pull himself up on his feet yet let alone jump over the top. Then discovered that he had broken 2 of the slats trying to stand and had sliped out the bottom!

Suddenly feel very frightened about having 2 with one just starting to get about!! Help!

coffeebeanz · 26/05/2006 11:30

Whats all this burping about ? I cant seem to stop it either, and my 2 think its hilarious as I'm always telling them to stop. Glad to say still feeling pretty much OK although like Jessddibbs I'm so, so, tired (went to bed at 9.15 last night, which manages to avoid BD .... another thing I've gone off !(TMI I know))

coffeebeanz · 26/05/2006 11:37

Dragonhart do try to take it easy and relax, are you prone to fainting ? or do you think you might have low iron levels? might be worth getting that checked out. Sounds like you've got a right little Houdini there, you'll cope just fine with 2 !Smile

BROWNY · 26/05/2006 11:45

Nemo, can't believe that you've got to wait until Monday!ShockAngry, really hope that you and your baby are fine, sending lots of positive vibes for you >Smile

elliepippamummy · 26/05/2006 12:44

Nemo - hope you are okay I know how you feel I had to wait 8 days for a scan after bleeding at my local EPAC (do you live in Kent?)

I have to say that I have been suffering with the wind problem thought it was just me (baked beans are off the menu!!) am starving today and at work so trying to decide which sandwich filling to have when I go to the shop what tough decisions!!!

MerlinsBeard · 26/05/2006 13:19

sooooo glad i am not the only one that burps like a hairy arse trucker (pmsl @ that LTH!)

How is every one this morning? Nemo, how are things? LTH..ur tooth and sickness any better?

Welcome TR :)

Told a friend y'day (still not told anyone else!) and today she told me she is pg too so will direct her here shortly! (unless she secretly already posts!)

Dragonhart · 26/05/2006 13:34

Coffeebeanz - No have only fainted once before in my life. Not sure about iron. Guess it is just another joy of pregnancy!!

Feel abit foolish worrying about 2 when there are lots of us here with more. Guess you just cant imagine how you will cope til you have them.

LadyTophamHatt · 26/05/2006 14:13

dragonhart, I fainted in Barclays bank when PG with Ds2. The poor lad behind the till nearly fainted tooGrin
I have low blodd pressure naturally but when PG it gets even lower which is why I fainted, it could be as simple as that for you.

Not feeling too bad today, just the constantly tiny niggley sick feeling that follows me around.

Was rather alarmed when I got dressed this morning and the trousers that I wore easily last week now feel unbelievebaly tight across my belly. I have an attractive piece of elastic going through the button hole and over the button now.

hi all, hope everyone is feeling ok this morning.
I would just like to add that wind is an issue over here too, smelly and frequent.
But that usualt happens with me at the beginning of a pregnancy as my IBS kicks off for a while at the start.

quite unpleasant and hard to remain alluring when I actually sound like a rhino Grin

Nemo1977 · 26/05/2006 14:48

hi all
been out to toddlers this morning wiht just ds which was like a holiday..lol DD now full of cold too so was awake most of last night with her..who said we need to rest!!!! Am still feeling ok as did a thread on threatened mcs and odds of everything being ok seem quite high..occurs more so with boys for some reason.

Hope everyone is ok.

[browny thanks for the message]

Loubie37 · 26/05/2006 15:10

Hi everyone and hello to the newbies. Well, after going back to work yesterday thinking my spotting had stopped, I had to come home at lunch time today after going to the loo and finding red blood again when I wiped. I've rung the EPU and all they can do is bring my next scan forward to Tuesday. I'll be 6+3 then - what are my chances of seeing a heart beat? (Presuming maini mariner is still hanging on)

This is the first time I've bled since Monday so I'd started to think it was all behind me....silly me :(

Fingers crossed it's just one of those things again

Loubie xx
5+6

Loubie37 · 26/05/2006 15:11

Oops, I meant mini mariner Blush

(We're both season ticket holders at Grimsby Town Football Club, who's nick name is The Mariners)

elliepippamummy · 26/05/2006 16:17

Loubie I had my scan on weds just gone and I was 6+4 and saw heartbeat although the sonographer did say it had only just started beating in the last few days and can start up to 7 weeks (think it depends on how long your cycle and Ov is) hope it all goes well and take it easy over the weekend.

PS I though you called it mini mariner because it looks like a prawn when it first develops!!

LadyTophamHatt · 26/05/2006 16:46

Loubie, my scan last week (or whenever it was) was at 6 weeks or so I thought. The sonographer said I was more between 5-6 weeks and I saw a heart beat.

(internal scan though)

oh god the nausea has started.....Envy (of course i mean sick not envy lol!)

feeling under the weather anyway, coldy and sore throat amd cold

saltcod · 26/05/2006 17:33

Sorry to hear about the further bleeding, Loubie. Hopefully you can put your feet up a bit over the bank hol weekend. Good luck to you & Nemo for your scans next week.

No change here - thought the nausea had left off (started worrying about it though, of course!) but it's back today strong as ever. Have a really strong aversion to cooking smells which I didn't have for 1st pregnancy. Next door has been cooking fried breakfasts or something & I keep getting wafts of it which makes me want to heave! Also can't bear to cook for the same reason - so we're consuming lots of ready meals which isn't good Blush

Had my booking in yesterday - lovely midwife. She's referred me for "consultant-led" care again as I have high blood pressure. So should get my first consultant appointment around the same time as the 12wk scan. The good thing about consultant care last time round was the extra couple of scans I got, plus I got to hear the heartbeat loads..... 3 appointments per week in the last trimester. Gonna be tricky to carry on working then, though - hospital is miles away from work this time. Midwife also confirmed that I was correct with my EDD - 3rd Jan (not the 5th as the doc's receptionist had calculated).

Still haven't told any family our news - seeing my sister at the weekend & wondering whether to tell her or wait till 12/13 weeks. We're definitely waiting till then to tell our parents! Has anyone else not told their family yet?

Just realised I've typed a real essay - better go now before I make everyone nod off Grin

trinityrhino · 26/05/2006 17:47

hi all, newbie here, haven't really been able to sort out who is who and how everyone is......sorry

Only got pos test result yesterdy morning so not sure if I should have told anyone

babble babble babble sorry Blush

LadyTophamHatt · 26/05/2006 18:06

all my family know now TR, along with any friends that matter to me.

I've never waited until 12 weeks to tell people.

OP posts:
saltcod · 26/05/2006 18:24

A couple of close friends (who knew we were ttc for so long) know, but if we start telling lots of other people or family, I'm worried about dd1 finding out. At 5 she's old enough to understand & I'd quite like her to be the one to tell people when we're a bit further along & when I can be more confident about the pregnancy. Thought it be would quite a novel way of sharing our news. But at the same time, the less time she has to wait for her sibling to make an appearance, the better..... patience is not her virtue!

MerlinsBeard · 26/05/2006 19:17

haven't told family yet. told a friend y'day but i was asking about her large car so she would have guessed anyway! We are trying to wait until scan so we can confirm how far along we are etc, we didn't with the other 2 but diff this time, want to make sure everything is ok b4 we have to face the "judgement" :(

MitchMatch · 26/05/2006 20:00

Have had a bit of a scare today, had to do a long drive for work and 2 hrs away from home started bleeding at a services. Managed to hold it together and not kill myself on the drive home and went straight to GP. She examined me and said the cervix is still closed but there is a lot of blood. I've now got an appt for a scan on Tuesday morning and have been told to take it easy on the weekend. I've got some tummy pain and it's more than just spotting, so I guess that all I can do is take it easy and try not to obsess too much. I never spotted in the least bit with the last preg so don't know how much to worry.

MerlinsBeard · 26/05/2006 20:02

thinking of you mitch x

lots of ppl spotting/bleeding...hadn't realised that it was a common thing. Or at least seems to be.

Not to belittle anyones experiences or anything
