Morning all

LTH, have you tried clove oil? My mum swears by it but not sure if it is safe for preg. Not much help - sorry! Not sure what paracetamol actually does. Took it after having ds1 cos I was breastfeeding and did bugger all. Think it is just a placebo for preg women!

indignatio · 25/05/2006 10:10

try biting down on an actual clove (with the hurting tooth) - unless you have oil of cloves in your store cupboard and know that it is safe. Also gargle with salt water - that sure will help with any morning sickness - NOT

Dragonhart · 25/05/2006 10:14

A friends mum told me to gargle with salt water every morning to help morning sickness. When I tried it an obviously vomited and vomited she said that it helps to get "the badness out every morning"! Crazy!

Have had booking today, am 9 weeks and she has given nme a due date of 31st dec, but obv its just going off my date which i know is not right!

Spoke to her about home births and she was very supportive and encouraging and she said that not everyone has symptpms so thats also good. Have to say tho i woke in the night with EXTREME nausea but it passed. Have back ache today like period pain but as i am not bleeding i decided not to tell the mw, altho will ring if it gets worse etc

LTH, have u tried hitting the other side of your mouth :-P takes ur mind off ur toothache so i;m told!!!

laughalot · 25/05/2006 14:19

Hi everyone hope you are all ok im fine but my sickness has kicked in big style ....

lol loubie I thought it was your first and you were about 20 Grin

7+1 scan says 6+1 who knows

Nemo1977 · 25/05/2006 15:37

hello all
had a miserable day today. Still feeling grotty and then started to bleed quite heavily but bright red. Been to epu and was there for 4 hrs to be told there are no scans today and will have to wait until monday at 10am. So now have to spend entire weekend wondering what is going on. Only positive is that bleeding has stopped for now and have not passed any clots [tmi]. So is this my 3rd baby or 4th mc?

MerlinsBeard · 25/05/2006 17:06

((((((Nemo))))) thinking of you xxx

If things get really worrying can u go to different hospitals EPU? or to A & E?

Loubie37 · 25/05/2006 17:14

Nemo try not to worry (I don't know why I say that cos it's impossible not to...) I've had spotting/bleeding since a week last Tuesday now, and on 5 occasions it's been bright red. It's only natural to assume the worst, but my scan yesterday showed everyhing is fine so far and that the sac is exactly the size it should be for my dates (as I know I ovulated late) so it isn't always bad news.

I too couldn't have a scan straight away - we went to the Oot of Hours GP service on Saturday and I had to wait until yesterday which was really hard.

Although my bleeding wasn't heavy (it was mostly when I wiped) there was sometimes alarming amounts on the tp.

Big hugs, I really do hope everything will be OK for you xx

Loubie37 · 25/05/2006 17:14

Does anyone else feel like their nipples have been clamped and towed away??!!:o

Dragonhart · 25/05/2006 17:18

Thinking of you Nemo. Seems ridiculous to have to wait that long. Can't you feign pains then maybe they would do it in A&E?

Feeling sick sick sick! Read that nuts and seeds were supposed to help sickness in practical parenting but having eaten nuts all day seems to be rubbish advise. Might work for others though?

LadyTophamHatt · 25/05/2006 20:02

Oh NemoSad

Lots of us on this thread have had bleeding so far and it all still fine.

I hope Monday comes super quick for you.

Tooth ache eased off throughout the day....made an appointment at the dentist and bloody forgot to go! Pregnant brain is well and truely here!

Hi all
thanks for the messages.
I am feeling surprisingly upbeat this evening.
Had some more bleeding but it was brown. I had very heavy bleeding with DS so am trying to be optimistic of a threatened miscarriage rather than a full mc.

Hi TR - welcome to the club. Course we want you :)

jessddibs · 26/05/2006 07:14

Morning all! Stay positive Nemo...thinking of you. Wellcome tr! No news from me really. Pains have stopped and to be honest I have no symtoms at all now..bar tiedness to an extreme!!!It is all going so b**y slowly!! Thats my moan today!

Loubie37 · 26/05/2006 07:59

Welcome TR and congratulations on your BFP :)

Some advice needed....I've received my booking in appointment at the hospital which is all well and good, except it's the day before my next scan. I might be being silly here but I don't want to be in a position where I turn up, get booked in, have all my bloods taken etc and then the very next day find out something's happened....

Would you ring them and see if they could change it to the day of the scan or afterwards??

Hope you're all well, glad to hear you sounding a bit happier Nemo :)

Loubie xx
5+6

indignatio · 26/05/2006 08:38

Glad you found us TR
Loubie - if it worries you then ask for it to be changed - annoying advice but stay positive.
No real symptoms this morning - so fretting about that
