Ellipippamummy - I think it's possible to see a heartbeat but it is pretty early, so not to panic if they don't see one IYSWIM.
I'm going to doc's tomorrow, I hope he'll refer me for a dating scan since I don't really know how far on I am. And I don't feel so sick today, so naturally am panicking myself. Idiot!
Good news for you Loubie37 Smile

me23 · 22/05/2006 13:03

hi, elliepippamummy, I had an early scan when I was 6+3 and you could just about see the flicker of the heartbeat, but is is very early so echo what 2happy says. good luck with your scan! I'm due 31st dec but might go to jan so im popping between boards Smile

Hattie2 · 22/05/2006 13:10

Great news Loubie :)

Elliepippa - I saw a hearbeat on my scan last week (5 + 4 at the time I think) and baby was 3.6mm! Nurse did say that you can't always see it that early though.

becks5109 · 22/05/2006 15:19

Hi everyone and welcome to the newbies. I'm still worrying away too but feeling a bit sicky and boobs are still sore so fingers crossed all is well. I've booked my dr's appointment for next Weds (31st) when I'll be 7 weeks so then she will send off for a scan date. I have also been feeling really cold and watched a film last night and sobbed my heart out!

LadyTophamHatt · 22/05/2006 16:22

just to let you all know I CAT'ed Nemo to see if she was Ok.

All is well in the Nemo house, except she has a cold and chest infection so looking after her 2 littlies while ill means the PC has taken a back seat.

She said she'll be back soon.

Thanks for doing that LTH, i didn't even think of it (not that i can CAT anyway)

Still no symptoms here and i think the fact that i have MN this time has made me worry whereas with my 1st i had no internet and with my 2nd didnt know about MN, so if i am not on here much it b'cause i need to stop worrying! still feel a fraud coz of no symptoms except bfp. recall miorning sickness v v v soon after bfp with ds2

LadyTophamHatt · 22/05/2006 18:04

my symptons come and go too MoM.

I discovered today that I can keep the sickness at bay if I eat pretty much continuouslyShock
I don't feel like I'm going to actually be sick, it just that horrible grey feeling that comes with the sickness...if I eat it goes.

I'll be the size of a small continent by the time thi sone arroves.

Hi everyone hope all is well. I had a nighmare today woke up and had a bleed managed to get into epu they did a scan and my little prawns heart was beating away nicely they could see some blood under my sac but said its nothing to worry about and I may still have a little bleeding. Cant tell you how releived I was especially because I had no symptoms but tiredness, they said im 6 weeks Grin

MerlinsBeard · 22/05/2006 19:05

thats reassuring laughalot, i am absolutly shattered but have had a pretty hectic few weeks and 2 under 3 will tire anyone out!!

LTH, wishing i had just a little nausea, thought i would have but it went again....disbelieving the bfp's now!!

MitchMatch · 22/05/2006 23:44

Hello all, hope you don't mind if I join you. Will be 7 weeks tomorrow with number 2, my details are that I'm 40 (I can almost say it out loud now), DH also 40 and we have a DS who is 19mths. Didn't know about mnet while pregnant with DS and really could have done with it as I didn't have a clue. No symptoms to speak of at the moment so feel like I keep having to check if I'm actually pregnant. Have been to the GP to get registered with the hospital so will hopefully be having my booking in appt in the next few weeks.

lisavb · 23/05/2006 06:43

I am hoping it is OK for me to join also - I will be 7 weeks tomorrow also - I am 38 and DH is 30, and this is our first after 2 years TTC and one ectopic and one mc. I am living overseas, in Turkey, am I in the right thread?

indignatio · 23/05/2006 08:47

Hi Lisavb and MitchMatch - great to see more new names. Hope everyone is feeling good/sick this morning - whatever you are wishing for. Tummy tightness seems to have abated for me - boobs still a no go area - have read that they settle down at 8 weeks - dh is keeping his fingers crossed.
I can't keep my big mouth shut - now instead of worrying who I've told I'm now trying to remember who I haven't. I so love speading the news - after almost 4 years of ttc this is so exciting

Loubie37 · 23/05/2006 09:05

I've just had a phone call from my GP (my heart missed a beat!) but it's very good news - my hcg level yesterday was 2803!! It was 628 4 days earlier and they expect it to double every 2-3 days and mine has done more than that so I'm well happy!:):)

I was dreading my scan tomorrow but I'm looking more forward to it now....I know it's not over yet, but it looks like mini mariner is hanging on in there for now :)

I just wish the spotting would stop - I had another red episode last night, this is such a roller coaster...

Loubie xx
6+1 (but more likely to be 5+)

Loubie37 · 23/05/2006 09:11

PS Hello to the newbies and I hope everyone is well :)

Sorry, I was being very selfish there sharing my good news and not asking after anyone else :O

posyparker · 23/05/2006 10:01

Laughalot and Loubie, I am so pleased to hear your good news!! We've all really been through the old spotting mill this month, haven't we?

I had a scan on Friday norning (about 5+6) and we could see the heartbeat, but only with the internal scan, and the beanie measured 5mm. Loubie, hope your scan goes well tomorrow, remember to update us all when you get back.

Welcome to MitchMatch and Lisavb, yes this is the right place! I am 39 and my DP is 29, I am around 6wks 3 days today with my third (have DD's aged 10 and 6). Nice to know I'm not the only oldster here!

Nemo1977 · 23/05/2006 10:06

Hi all

welcome to all newly pregnant ladies!!

Sorry to worry LTH and MOM. Have been under the weather so not really been online or very coherent when I was. Just waiting for my sister to come again today to look after A and H as I keep having really bad dizzy episodes so worry about looking after H with her only being 5mths. Dont know if I have symptoms or not here as just feel like my body is falling apart..lol Have scan booked for 19th june although if I start to panic too much will go to epu. Booking in with mw is on 6th june. Think I am 8 plus weeks but no idea..

Loubie37 · 23/05/2006 11:16

Glad everything is well with the baby Nemo - hope you feel much better soon, you take care :)

Loubie xx

Dragonhart · 23/05/2006 11:18

Hi, been away for a week in Wales and it has taken an hour to catch up!! Have been feeling RUBBISH and had to pretend that every thing was ok to all my family. Eventually decided to tel mum and MIL and FIL. THink they understood why I had been a bit moody all week!

Very sick again so perhaps a boy again. Harder this time as rather than being able to wallow in bed feeling sick,I have to look after my 10mnt old and try not to be too grumpy. Think he knows something is wrong as when I pick him up he is either crying and throwing himself around or keeps touching my face really gently (or does that sound crazy?) Supose it is reasuring to feel rubbish but doesn't help when all the washing and cleaning is neglected as I just want to sleep when DS1 naps. DH is being very patient but as no food in the house, think that might change soon!

I have to wait for midwife to contact me at around 11 weeks for first appt so feels like ages away. Forgot how slow thins bit feels. Last time felt sick til 14wks and that seems ages way now! Doc said I might have my first scan early as had 3rd degree tear with last baby and also said that I might have a cs this time to stop it happening again. Has this happened to anyone else?

To all who have had bleeding scares - my MIL had bleeding for first 4 months of pg and didn't even know that she was pg til she was 3 1/2 months. Still had a healthy baby boy who is now my DH!!

laughalot · 23/05/2006 11:24

Hi and welcome to all the newbies hope you are all ok im fine just tired still.

LadyTophamHatt · 23/05/2006 11:27

Good to have you back Nemo.

I had a few dizzy spells(and fainted once) when I was pg with ds2. It's not nice is it? IIRC it didn't last long but is scary when you have a little one to look after.

MoM, have any symptons appaeared today?
I have gone from having to eat continuously yesterday to stop the sick feeling to not being able to face even a slice of toast today.
I ate enough yesterday to feed an army. Today the mere thought of food makes me want to vomit.
I am sooooo tired today too. Even had a little 15 minute snooze on the sofa this morning, but am still yawning all the time...

I still haven't heard anything from any MW. I don't know what/how it happens here as I had the boys in surrey and we're in sussex now.
I suppose I jsut wait for them to contact me...

Welcome to all the new ladies, it's getting crowded in here nowSmile

Morning all. Just been to docs, who didn't seem that fussed about getting a dating scan, and mw was talking about not scanning until 16 weeks Shock I haven't felt sick since yesterday morning, can't remember if it came and went the samw way with ds. But I definitely second the crushing tiredness! Not helped by ds who is having total tantrums today!

magnolia1 · 23/05/2006 13:29

Afternoon ladies Smile

Welcome to the new mums to be.

I am feeling pretty good although had a bit more pinkish spotting but not worrying too much as scan at 9 weeks was fine Smile

I have my Nuchal scan on 20th June but not heard from midwife yet!!

Poor dh is on a sex ban coz of the spotting which he is moaning about constantly Angry
The thing is I really feel like having sex but worried it will be too risky??

saltcod · 23/05/2006 19:08

Hi everyone, good to see that all our beanies are still doing ok. Good to see you back Nemo. Glad those of you who have had scans have all come back with good news. And welcome to the newbies......quite a gang of us now!

Tired & sick just about sums me up today - no change there then! Finding my symptons worse than with 1st pregnancy..... and I'm eating SO much coz it's the only thing that keeps the nausea at bay - I've had to go up a jean size already & I'm only 8 weeks Blush
