I haven't had sex dreams but my dreams are weird! At the weekend i dreamt i had my baby feet first my husband wasn't there just my sister,my baby was black (neither me or husband are) and cos no one cut the chord he deflated like a balloon and my sister had to blow him up! Lol!

Sat in doctors at moment waiting so be seen developed a painful lump on my lady parts anyone else experienced this?not too sure what they will do,not happy about getting my bits out but suppose i should get used to it? Can't give birth is my pants lol lol! 7 weeks to go eeeeek!xxxx

Olimoss · 17/04/2013 11:37

Sarah - we have our first NCT class tonight, too. I'm dreading the whole thing a bit, to be honest.....

Ed Miliband? Christ alive. At least it's not Dave C or G Osborne I guess. Or Pickles. Or any Tory....

Just back to the office from midwife appt - CSection looks go, with an appt booked to see the Ob Surgeon this Friday to book in. They try to do a week before due date (for me EDD is 03-06-13) so that would make it 27 May.

HOLYOHMYGODSHITTINGHELL

Yeah, so I'm totally cool about it.

SunnyL · 17/04/2013 11:37

Ok moving on from the weird sex dreams (DH is sadly missing my horny period in trimester 2 right now so is also having many sex dreams but that is an aside).

I've recently found out that there are birthing pools in most of the rooms at the birthing centre I'll be going to. I'm not sure yet if I'll have a water birth - it all kind of depends on how things go really.

My question though is what do folks wear? Presumably you start out in a bikini/tankini and whip your bottoms off at some point? I have tonnes of bikinis but none of them are pregnancy ones - do i really need to get a pregnancy one or is there no real point as I'll be at least half naked??

learnermummy · 17/04/2013 11:50

SunnyL I wouldn't bother with a bottom half. Think I wore a sleep bra in the water with DS1, but was only in there for a couple of hours. For DS2 it was all very fast and I just jumped in the pool naked for the relief!

arlandria666 my lady parts are all very lumpy and uncomfortable. Midwife says it's not abnormal, although I've never had it before. Think it might be varicose veins in the vulva - attractive! Unfortuately I bought a hand mirror yesterday to inspect the area and it was not pleasant. Even more unfortunately DH agreed with me! Probably why he's been avoiding the area!

arlandria666 · 17/04/2013 11:56

Lol learner mummy my poor dh has probably forgotten what it looked like prior pregnancy ha ha! I have looked in the mirror not pretty just hard to even sit down i have self diagnosed myself (with help from Google lol) with a cyst of some description lol probably nothing of the sort ha x x

My lady parts feel like they're bruised, mentioned this and hip pain to my mw yesterday and she went yeah it's to be expected, the bruising is cause of his head engaging and pushing down, hope I get used to this as edd is 11.06, which is why I have a feeling he's going to get here early, he's been properly engaged for about a week maybe two, don't think he understands there's nowhere for him to sleep yet!

pinkapples · 17/04/2013 14:49

Nice on the sex dreams non for me tho although like someone said I think dh is making do with a few of them at the moment Grin really should pay him some attention but I'm so tired its mad! Growing a baby is hard!

On the subject of our downstairs areas mines looking decidedly unkept and very bulging I think baby is definitely on the move but hopefully she doesn't start the eviction process yet lots of kicking and rolling today she's giving me a right going over

Ahhhhh

pinkbear82 · 17/04/2013 15:04

Phew, thought I was the only sexless dreamer! In fact I'm having trouble remembering any dreams - clearly they are just rubbish!

Feeling rather rubbish today, totally wiped out and have a lovely headache to go along with it. Only good thing is the cat had curled up next to me and is keeping me company.

The lady bits felt quite odd for a few weeks, but nicely seem to be feeling more normal again now!

33 weeks today..... It really is getting quite real now isn't it.

Sarah2506 · 17/04/2013 15:12

oli assume we aren't in the same class?! Tell them you are having a section- the woman has said she will bear this in mind in structuring the classes. My personal view is that I won't learn anything and I am only there to make friends. DH says I'm not to say this. He has also told me that I should be myself, but not too much. And that I shouldn't try and organise things. Humph. Great news they've signed off on you having one though! Thought it was utter madness the idea of you having to pay. Though may 27th is a bank holiday so hopefully not actually then!

MrsBri · 17/04/2013 15:13

My downstairs is also a bit bulgy :-/ Glad it isn't just me as it just isn't the same size and shape as before pregnancy. Nasty.

I'm still giving sympathy blow jobs to DH. Sigh!

And pink, Baby B hasn't been kicking much today, but has been rolling around a lot. And I've had a foot poking out above my belly button almost all afternoon, and my belly is doing the 'Alien' thing constantly. I think he is head down though, which is something.

Engaged already Steff? Hmmm...may place my sweepstake bet on you then for first arrival!

Ummm...tmi alert. How is everyone else's pant snot going? Mine is looking thicker and creamier than previously. Does this mean anything or nothing?!

And anyone else being stupidly slack with pelvic floor exercises?

Sarah2506 · 17/04/2013 15:47

I like the way we get the TMI warning before the pant snot discussion but not before the mention of sympathy blow jobs:-) I will walk all day but that would just be a step too far for me! We were watching something last night and they were asked to rate their sex drives. I said mine was a 1-2. DH said his was a 'little higher'. I'm just glad he thinks mounting me is akin to sticking his willy actually in the babies face.

I have excessive pant snot. I use quite big pads these days. Apparently normal and just another of those things. And while I'm here so is excessive constipation. This really is TMI but yesterday it took me twenty mins to evacuate something that probably weighed as much as the baby. Dear me it hurt.

I'm going to be gutted if NCT doesn't turn out to be a RL version of this site. I need to talk poo, piles, pant snot and penetration on a daily basis. It's honestly one of the only things I enjoy about growing small bean girl!!

MrsBri · 17/04/2013 15:55

It would be easier to scale Everest than mount me right now, it has to be said. We were discussing viable positions the other day (prior to me showing some sympathy) and decided there were very few which would be comfortable and accessible!

I'm with you on the constipation. Lactulose is my utter saviour! Could not live / poo without it. I'm looking forward to not needing it and not dealing with pregnancy poo :-) I've blocked a few loos since getting pregnant. Fail!

I don't imagine NCT will be like here. But you never know!

Steffanoid · 17/04/2013 16:17

I'm hoping he's just getting comfy, or is maybe just long so needs to be low down, I'd be happy with the second half of may, just did a count and have at least 21 short sleeve body suits size 0-3 months, and 24 Muslims, I totally didn't buy any many of them myself either!

learnermummy · 17/04/2013 16:26

Pant snot! Love it!

Make sure you're drinking loads of water to help with constipation. Lactulose is s good thing to have in after the birth too.

Am going to have to do something to get DH go confront my ugly lady parts as must start the perineal massage soon. At least you CS ladies don't have to worry about that!

Olimoss · 17/04/2013 16:28

Sarah - ours is in West London - W12/4 borders.

Still dreading going, got to leave now and try to get home in time. Bloody commute.

(PS: boyfriend has been mostly excellent re: lack of nooky and I think has resigned himself to nothing much, really, till I'm back to function. Bless him).

MrsBri · 17/04/2013 17:12

Perineal massage?! I'm scared to Google that so you're going to have to tell me what it is!

And I drink plenty of fluids and eat all the right things but am still bunged up more than necessary :-/ It's just not right!

Still, at least the killer wind I had in early pregnancy disappeared. Now that was bad!

pinkbear82 · 17/04/2013 17:36

haha. pant snot!! mine was the same mrsbri - last two weeks quite bad but seems to be easing off again now. All coincided with rebounded infection and antibiotics so I thought it was that, but perhaps it is just another of the glam pregnancy things.

I looked at massaging bits the other evening - Dp refused to help and said if we ever want a sex life back he doesn't want to know about it......

it also hit him his birthday is a few weeks after bubs is due.... there was mutter about him ever getting sex Again.

pinkapples · 17/04/2013 17:44

I just read about that perianal massage last night how much of a coincidence is that hehe it scares me slightly hands up who's actually planning on trying it?

I am doing the pelvic floor thing everyday as learnt about it at aqua natal and its actually quite simple to do (unlike the massage thing)

Knackered does not even describe me today I have gone beyond that!

learnermummy · 17/04/2013 17:45

It's not particularly pleasant MrsBri and really needs other half to do it for you. Basically involves gradually stretching the exit point using lots of oil. I have purchased a bottle of almond oil for this purpose! There is a technique so will google a good link. Have done it twice before and think it does help, certainly allows you to experience a little of the crowning burning sensation! Did see a DIY gadget on sale called an epi-no but quite pricey. My midwife mentioned doing it at my booking in appointment! Not brave enough yet!

learnermummy · 17/04/2013 17:49

www.mypregnancymatters.org.uk/welcome/preparing-for-labour/perineal-massage/

it says on here to start at 34 weeks.

Sunbeam18 · 17/04/2013 18:16

Loving the TMIs! I googled 'wet pants in pregnancy' yesterday as was worried I was leaking amniotic fluid. Do you find big wet patches in your knickers at the mo? Am not sure if its pee escaping or something else?? God.
Am having the opposite of constipation - pooing at least twice as often as when not pregnant.
Am totally ready to be back to normal, bodywise...but will that ever happen?!

MrsBri · 17/04/2013 18:18

Holy crap!

And would you believe that DH already knew about it?! Not sure he realised he had to do it though.

Looks appalling!

MrsBri · 17/04/2013 18:21

Ooh, yes, Sunbeam...I 'hoped' it was wee. Now, how often will I say that?!

I was a touch worried though.

Isn't pregnancy so bloody glamorous?

And how are you going twice as often? I reckon half my added booking in weight at 10 weeks was poo and the other half breasts!
