Eeeeeee! I'm loving all the girlies and misters! IOFrogN.... Have booker harmony test for Tuesday. Am anxious but happy it's booked. DP still has reservations about money understandably but I've bargained by saying we can find out the sex which is what DP wanted. So, if they can tell we will know on Tuesday :-!!!

TripleRock · 28/03/2013 20:26

I am soooo pleased for you Frog, I really am!

Also excited to hear about the gender news. I WANT TO KNOW!

JammyTummy · 28/03/2013 20:50

Thanks all! We've just about recovered from the shock! It all feels so much more real now!

Questions:

  • morning sickness y or n? No
  • boobs - massive growth or just a bit bigger? DD to F
  • did you look at nub theory thing on 12 week scan pic? Flat or angled? Wasn't very clear in picture
  • craving sweet things or salty things? Mostly salty
  • skin ok or spots? Okish, some spots
  • weight all on bump or on thighs/bum too- just bump
  • heartbeat bpm when they listened with Doppler? 120
  • any gut feelings yourself? I was sure sure sure it was a boy! 'Its a little girl' shook me to the core!
  • Chinese gender chart said....? Never did that
  • legs hairier or the same? Same
JammyTummy · 28/03/2013 20:51

Ps frog really pleased for you! It will be such a relief!

Creamtea1 · 28/03/2013 21:08

Well jammys little girl has literally blown virtually all the old wives gender theories out the water! Grin

frogchops · 28/03/2013 21:09

Someone tell me what the answers to the questions are meant to be...either for boys/girls??....

Dorita75 · 28/03/2013 21:14

Great news frog

Social life, ha! I've missed a wedding, 2 birthdays, several pub quizes....and do you know what, I don't care! My sickness and tiredness are ruling my life, and if that's the way it has to be, so be it Wink

I've recorded One Born, am thinking of not watching it now, definately not on the day I've heard my baby's heartbeat for the first time.

JammyTummy · 28/03/2013 21:31

She really has Creamtea! And also I've heard before that its something like 95% of little boys implant on the right and girls on the left, and all along I've felt this baby on the right!!!! She is super sneaky!

Creamtea1 · 28/03/2013 21:32

For frog:)

  • morning sickness y or n? Yes for girl, no for boy
  • boobs - massive growth or just a bit bigger? Girl apparently means bigger boobs
  • did you look at nub theory thing on 12 week scan pic? Flat or angled? Flat for girl, angled for boy
  • craving sweet things or salty things? Girl, sweet boy, salty
  • skin ok or spots? Spots - girl
  • weight all on bump or on thighs/bum too- just bump boy, thighs etc - girl
  • heartbeat bpm when they listened with Doppler? Less than 140 boy, more than 140 girl
  • any gut feelings yourself?
  • Chinese gender chart said....? Check on babycentre.co.uk
  • legs hairier or the same? Same boy, hairy for girl
frogchops · 28/03/2013 21:56

Ahh thanks creamtea. There's a few anomalies, but the majority suggest its a boy. Chinese gender thing suggests a girl tho, :-/

SGJ · 28/03/2013 22:53

Well now I'm totally confused because with DD all of those signs would have predicted her being a boy! And similar symptoms with this one, though I've convinced myself it's a boy!
Off to the Isle of Wight for a week on Saturday, a week off work will be wonderful! It should be 2 weeks but looks like I'm going to have to go in anyway and cancel my holiday, as I've just got too much to do, and an observation coming up in a few weeks, uurgh.
But Oooh, baby has just started moving and now I don't seem too worried about work right now....

Sorry to those who are still feeling sick, happy for those who've found out the gender of their little ones and v pleased things are progressing in a positive way for Frog, which I originally typed as Grog, haha

Squidwoman · 28/03/2013 23:23

Hi Frog
Glad you went for the Harmony test. Great you have been able to do it and I hope it all goes well!

Dorita75 · 29/03/2013 07:13

Thanks cream my answers reinforce the needle and thread method my friend swears by, boy for me. We're not going to find out officially, tho don't need to, the needle never lies!!

frogchops · 29/03/2013 07:18

I've done that with a strand of hair and my ring. It's not a wedding ring though, mainly cos I couldn't find a needle! And also I didn't know if ur meant to do it over bump, palm, wrist etc so could've messed that right up!

Kittenkatzen · 29/03/2013 10:00

Oh frog that's amazing I'm so pleased for you - and looking forward to your gender news too!

Well for me the questionnaire seems pretty certain I'm having a boy, except for heartbeat which was 155, and my guy feeling is saying girl atm for some reason....we're probably not going to find out though Smile

ION I've just flopped on the sofa after a busy morning, and I'm definitely getting poked from the inside GrinGrin

Happy Easter everyone!

mynameisnotmichaelcaine · 29/03/2013 10:57

Happy Easter! My kids are still in their pjs and have been watching tv since about 6:30am. I have made hot cross buns, and took a picture of the kids kneading them, which I uploaded onto facebook to make me look like an ubermum, when actually I am a complete slob!

Creamtea1 · 29/03/2013 11:03

Talking of bad mums, is it bad that I'm already eyeing up the non-Cadbury eggs and the chocolate bunny to melt down into choc crispy cakes??

frogchops · 29/03/2013 11:41

No cream tea, that's extremely creative and makes you mum that is introducing creativity into their home learning....think of the science involved in melting, cooling etc.... Classroom ppractice means I can blag most things involving food as educational! Melt him down!

KamikazeeKid · 29/03/2013 12:04

Going by the gender thing my son would have been a girl, due to old wives tales I always thought he'd be a girl so much so I had girls not boys names at the ready!!

Nub theory suggests a boy again this time. Chinese calendar says girl....suppose theres a 50/50 chance thats right ;-)

Will do the ring test which I didn't before,

Everyone's TELLING me I'm having a girl as already got a boy....pretty sure that's not how it works. ....

Anyone elses skin really sensitive? Having nasty allergic reactions? ?!

Looking forward to comparing notes on our 2 year olds reactions neral

Creamtea1 · 29/03/2013 14:39

Am fed up of constant scrutiny and comments on weight gain, as well as 'competitive pregnancy' syndrome, never had this last time. All non preg friends keep comparing everything to previous preg/ current preg mums or teachers at school.
May have also posted sarky reply on yet another weight gain thread...yes I am being very bad today!

JammyTummy · 29/03/2013 14:40

Thought I'd let you all know that I eventually baught the John Lewis sheepskin teddy, after all the talk we had of it! It is sooooo soft...
Also picked up a pair of the cutest baby bunny slippers. They're 0-6 months, suuuuuper soft and have tiny rattle thingies in the ears, for when baby starts finding her feet interesting!

Having a lovely day and the sun is shining Smile

JammyTummy · 29/03/2013 14:41

Bought that is.

Kittenkatzen · 29/03/2013 15:56

Ohhhh creamtea yes to competitive pregnancy syndrome from non preg friends - what is that about?! I've even had two people comment on my plan to breast feed with such helpful gems as "oh no bottles are much easier" .....and "well X did it and lasted 6 weeks"

I have a new craving today - marmite cheddar! Just eaten 3 minis in a row Blush

redandyellowandpinkandgreen · 29/03/2013 17:09

I feel the need to buy something for the new baby! We have a two year old so don't need anything but I just want to buy something for it. We're not finding out the gender either which makes it tricky.

Dorita75 · 29/03/2013 17:17

mmmmm marmite cheddar kitten I've not had that for ageeess! Will have to settle for marmite and cheese on toast until I can get some.

My sister in law gave me loads of stuff today, bedding, growbags (are they really called that?) and some maternity clothes. I've started clearing out to make room for everything, so exciting!!

Really want a creme egg now after reading choc posts, wonder if dp will go and get me one??/
