Is it the hormones? I bought this toastie maker. I deliberately chose one with removeable plates...I thought. Got it home, used it, plates aren't removeable. Cue me going into a tailspin about how rubbish I am. Must have done the wrong code in Argos Blush woe is me.

MsJupiterJones · 25/03/2013 20:03

Blimmin delighted for you Jeff. What a brilliant day in your life that you will remember forever.

JethroTull · 26/03/2013 07:07

Thanks Hags. I definitely feel more confident now. SSG posted the scan pic on FB last night. I explained to him afterwards it's not really the done thing for a PESH but he is so excited I didn't have the heart to make him remove it Blush

bluer · 26/03/2013 07:53

ah I think it's lovely he's so exited too...and you've earned that fb post!

HavingALittleFaithBaby · 26/03/2013 08:28

Oh I did it! Confused but with an explanation about it being a hard fought win and how grateful we were. It was amazing actually how many other people admitted they had had fertility problems too.

I hope now you can relax a bit and just trust your sticky bean to grow as if should. I remember that sense of relief!

OP posts:
FriendofDorothy · 26/03/2013 09:37

I did it too and was very clear that it was a hard fought win baby.

HavingALittleFaithBaby · 26/03/2013 09:51

dor yours made me weep! :)

OP posts:
bluer · 26/03/2013 10:00

We didn't...only because I'd already told everyone I wanted to know! ! Plus Mr.df is quite private and didn't want to. I heard him chatting to his friend last night and he admitted it didn't really feel real yet but that he was really exited. That's more than he tells me haha! I know he is though...he keeps patting my tummy!

HavingALittleFaithBaby · 26/03/2013 10:03

Whereas MSB was like Everyone else has had their moment, I want ours! We did ring close family first though! :)

How are you feeling blue?

I'm pretty chesty/wheezy. Pretty sure it's viral but yuck. Ah well, off to MW in a minute and then getting my hair cut and coloured (so I look pretty in the photos with the baybee!).

OP posts:
bluer · 26/03/2013 10:21

Ooh nice...I got mine cut the other day! The hairdresser trends settled on how thick its got!
Dreadful nights sleep with blocked nose and horrible dry mouth. Having a house day...no way was I going in in case I felt I couldn't manage again. Plus after yesterdays treatment I'm more inclined to put myself first.

bluer · 26/03/2013 11:44

Hey hags...when you first feel movement can it go away for a few days and come back. Def thought I was feeling things properly since last weekend but not feeling much at the moment.

HavingALittleFaithBaby · 26/03/2013 12:03

Thing is, it's not just you now blue, it's about putting yourself first for the sake of your baybee. Have a chilled out day. You may find taking paracetamol helps just to get over this (if you're not already taking it).

Well I've seen my midwife. Lump is still there. She's not sure...baby is well low in the pelvis so it could be a bony bottom. She's organising a scan for me so we know for sure. She admired my laid back attitude! I basically said that c-section wouldn't be my first choice I just want to get Pickle out safely. She also weighed me which wasn't too traumatic because my weight under a stone

jeff how does it feel to be 'out'?

OP posts:
HavingALittleFaithBaby · 26/03/2013 12:06

Sorry x-posted blue. Yes, absolutely. I felt movement for the first time on nights when I had a cold drink, then nothing for days. At some point (about 19 weeks?!) it started to get more regular.

OP posts:
bluer · 26/03/2013 12:28

Ah I thought that might be the case! Think its cause I'm lying about doing nothing I keep waiting for it Grin
Getting caught up in the walking dead and the following today!

HavingALittleFaithBaby · 26/03/2013 12:34

In the early days, I found Pickle moved more if I had really cold or hot drinks and if I had caffiene (it went ballistic if I drank proper cold coke, but I was drinking way too much coke so I gave it for lent!). Also if I ate sugary snacks. Hmm I really don't know how I'm not the back side of a house!

OP posts:
bluer · 26/03/2013 12:59

Mmm I have coke...may have to try it in the interests of science Wink

bluer · 26/03/2013 13:55

Feeling a few wee flutters now...strange how the paranoia sets in eh? Went for a nice cup of my fancy tea that my mil got me for xmas...loose leaf orange pekoe yum! I'd been putting off using but, as with the fact I'm back on runny eggs, caffeine twice a day is now on the list!

HavingALittleFaithBaby · 26/03/2013 15:52

That sounds good blue! :)

My scan is tomorrow morning so we'll see what it reveals!

OP posts:
bluer · 26/03/2013 16:04

Fingers crossed for you! At least you'll know for sure...maybe the ball bouncing has worked!

HavingALittleFaithBaby · 26/03/2013 16:11

We might even get to find out the sex too!

OP posts:
bluer · 26/03/2013 16:23

Oh I thought you knew? Girl no?

HavingALittleFaithBaby · 26/03/2013 16:29

Not for certain because its legs were crossed at the last scan. Hopefully it'll be more obvious this time! :)

OP posts:
bluer · 26/03/2013 16:34

Ah! Glad I hadn't made that up! Ours was very camera shy at 12 Weeks so in hoping legs aren't crossed at 20 Grin

JethroTull · 26/03/2013 16:55

How exciting Faith!!

Glad you are relaxing Blu - I ignored the advice re runny eggs, I love poached eggs & figured that as long as the whites were completley cooked I would be ok.

We're saying at the moment that we're not going to find out at 20 weeks but maybe if when we get to the point I might feel different.
