Oo sorry ladies I didn't mean to add more worry its def not something to worry about just meant that for those that see it....its gross....its like produce from a really bad cold...but sneezed out the wrong end!!

I was just going for the yukky factor with that conment ;-)

I was told lots of cm is normal only worry if its got an odour in case you have an infection. Sure its nothing, just another glamorous part of pregnancy Grin

Great news on the scan bat Smile

astro yy to the headaches, it's horrible. Like you I've tried lots of water but nothing seems to help. Guess it must just be hormones.

dorita omg yes my nips have a life of their own at the moment! Yesterday they were HUGE, today not so much. Other days they're really hard and painful Confused

andadietcoke · 19/02/2013 08:53

I noticed saucer nipples yesterday. Lovely! Boobs in general are changing - getting harder.

I'm at the hospital for my mysterious consultant appt. Still don't know if it's a twin thing or a fat thing!

JammyTummy · 19/02/2013 09:22

YY to crazy nipples!!! Oh and they are so itchy too!

12 (+3) week scan a week today... Time is going incredibly slowly. DH was dismayed to discover it was only Tuesday today- in his head it was at least Thursday...

jemimahpuddleduck · 19/02/2013 09:33

Morning all

Feeling better again today after an awful weekend of sickness. Slept through the night last night which I think helped.

Just gone on to the gap link and bought 4 pairs of different jeans bargain just over £40 Inc postage thanks for the link.

dietcoke hope your consultant appointment goes well.

Flo how did your first day back at work go?

Congrats to everyone with their scan results.

Whyriskit · 19/02/2013 09:37

Urgh, off work today (only work 2 days and had masses on today so feel v guilty). Got up with blinding headache and was sick a couple of times. Now in bed, still feel yuck. No idea if it's preg related or just a bug.

badguider · 19/02/2013 09:43

Am a bit jealous of you lot who are over 12 weeks already. I'm only 11 weeks tomorrow and due around 8 Sept so those over 12 weeks must be right on the August/September border!
(Though I'm expecting my EDD to go up a bit at the scan due to very short cycles. Maybe to 11 Sept?).

Got a headache again today - last one lasted three days! SadAngry but off to my second pregnancy yoga session in an hour so hoping for some relief.

Last night I developed a paranoia that it was twins. I just feel so 'full' inside. I'm not constipated but feel like all my organs are squished already. I also put on four kgs in the first eight weeks. Twins would be nice in a way as it would complete our family instantly with no further dilemmas about having one or two. On the other hand it would scupper my work completely. I have set up a self-employed consultancy business in order to work flexibly in the future with children to consider, but it means I can only take a maximum of six months maternity (and would have to do full KIT days during that). Fine with one baby - harder with two!

fl0b0t · 19/02/2013 09:59

Thanks for asking jemimah- I "just " worked from home but ended up so tired I couldn't sleep (stupid eh?) And today I'm doing a long train journey which is hard work. So tired and nauseous and on top of that I've twinged my back (i think I've spent too long sitting and lying down) so thoroughly grumpy.

Beginning to wonder if I'll ever need maternity wear, I'm still 4kg down even though I'm eating better now.

andadietcoke · 19/02/2013 10:20

Consultant appt was weird. They had no idea why I was there either! Did urine and found a bit of blood so I got all het up about that. Next appt is after the 13w scan, but I'm so neurotic at the moment I've made an appt for a private scan this afternoon. Am at least 10+5 so should be able to see if they're both still there and growing properly etc. I'm not sure it's not a waste of money but it'll reassure me at least, or if not, at least I'll know.

kipsonline · 19/02/2013 10:29

Woohoo 12 wk scan all fine, they dated me 13 weeks (1 wk ahead) so new EDD 28 aug! I'm not allowed beyond 38 wks so will be a mid aug baby.... DH ha They did nuchal meas but won't get results until combine with bloods - 2 weeks wait..

kipsonline · 19/02/2013 10:31

Should have said DH happy as 1 less year of childcare costs!! But worried about youngest in year issue but hey ho, can't have it all. All feels v real now. DH managed a wow when the bean did a flip, so hopefully this is a big step forward in getting his head around it all? Can't wait to tell my mum and 2 DS as d

MeanMrsMustard · 19/02/2013 10:35

Congratulations Kips! Great news!

flipflump · 19/02/2013 10:44

Badguider, I'm 11 weeks tomorrow too, EDD the 11th but I've not yet had my scan, wish it would hurry up!!

I've got my booking in tomorrow, excited as things are finally happening and makes it feel real but very anxious too. I'm petrified I'll get an old battle axe who's going to give me a hard time for being overweight and scare me! Anyone got any experience of this? Since getting my BFP I've been trying to eat less but with constant nausea all I can stomach is toast Hmmnot the healthiest of diets! Was delighted yesterday when I realised I still fit my jean, I'd been avoiding them and wearing dresses.

andadietcoke · 19/02/2013 10:59

flipflump I was worried about that too. I got a leaflet and I had already said I was going to go to slimming world (still haven't gone as can't be that choosy about what I eat at the moment!!). Have to go for a glucose tolerance test in June and go to the bariatric clinic at some point. If your BMI is over 30 but less than 35 you'll still be mw led probably (although does depend on area I think). May also need super dose of folic acid. I'm not sure if that's for fatties or twins though!!

My BP has gone down to 'normal' as opposed to 'a bit high' since booking in. That'll be the no booze and not much food then!!

flipflump · 19/02/2013 11:07

That's so reassuring andadietcoke thank you! I've given up the chocolate, working on the crisps and like you say, can't be too choosy over food, can't stomach much just now!! Love having you ladies to call upon with great advice, especially when the rest of the world aren't in on the little secret. I'll work out my BMI now, fingers crossed its not over 35. Wonder if I can lose a stone overnight Grin I'll prepare myself for the extra tests, I've always had normal BP, hopefully that hasn't changed.

andadietcoke · 19/02/2013 11:10

You're very welcome; I was really worried I was going to get shouted at. I don't think the door was closed when I blurted out that I was going to start SW!!

Readytosettle · 19/02/2013 11:21

So after a relatively easy couple of weeks on hols, now I'm back to work nausea is back big time....finding it v.difficult to concentrate which I def don't have time for right now! Off for my booking in appointment this avo do that will distract me even more no doubt... V. Jealous of all those at the 12 week mark, feels like I've got a long 3 week wait ahead :-(

MeanMrsMustard · 19/02/2013 13:26

I've just had my 12 week scan and there is a baby in there wriggling around and from initial obs everything looks fine. I have to go back in 20 mins to get full results.

SGJ · 19/02/2013 13:43

Fruit Pastilles, YES. So good. Have a cracking headache after getting up to pee at 4am and then not being able to go back to sleep. So tired!! Also today, had the joy of sniffing snotty phlegm and gagging when it reaches the back of my throat - thank God it's half term and there's hardly any other teaching staff in the office this week or I think someone would have asked! However so far the only person to ask outright has my 2 yo DD! I said it was just pizza and she bought it...

Scan on Friday afternoon, v excited. Have now reached zen-like state where I have decided to enjoy the assumption that everything is fine, and save all of my worrying for that period between the scan and the first time you feel it move...

Kittenkatzen · 19/02/2013 13:55

Lovely to hear all the positive scan news! Fx your results are just as good mrsmustard :)

SGJ I just gagged just reading about your snotty phlegm. Sounds grim you poor thing. Sympathies re the early waking, I'm suffering the same. Hadn't connected it with the headaches though, but now that you mention it I guess that could definitely be contributing.

I appear to be developing an addiction to salt & vinegar crisps and sour jelly belly beans. Trying desperately to force down some salad before I cave in....

WhizzsMum · 19/02/2013 13:58

Congrats to all those with good scan results.

Flipflump, I'm the same as you, so comforting to read everyone's updates and share mine without letting the secret out.

I have hit a low with my blood pressure today. Almost fainted in primark. I fainted throughout last pregnancy and had mega low blood pressure. Managed to get to pret for something to eat, sat down now trying to force down a toasty feeling rather tearful and pathetic. Everything seems to be happening 2 months earlier and twice as bad in comparison to my last pregnancy Sad

chocciemousse · 19/02/2013 15:04

Congratulations to all of those who have had good scans!!

SGJ I will be sharing my scan date with you. Mine is also on Friday afternoon. I don't want to wish my half term away but it can't come quickly enough.

As for all of those suffering from nasal congestion, it is apparently just another lovely side effect of pregnancy. I have been suffering from headaches, post nasal drip and congestion for weeks now. My doctor ended up giving me a steroid spray which helps.

fl0b0t · 19/02/2013 15:30

Another congested person here which makes nausea worse, horrible stuf f:(

sjg similar philosophy overhere: I feel shit but baby is fine so I am being Zen about baby.

readytosettle sorry you're feeling awful, hope booking in goes ok? At least its now "only" three weeks, right?! We're getting there!

Congrats on the scans all! So jealous! :) enjoy telling people!

whizzsmum how low is your bp? Mine is usually low but at booking in (terrified of blood tests!) It was 120/60 which is ok!

frogchops · 19/02/2013 15:41

Ohhhh fruit pastilles!!

BinarySolo · 19/02/2013 16:01

You buggers! I've had to just go out and buy some fruit pastilles and have already scoffed them!

Scan tomorrow. I'm terrified that they'll have to do a vaginal one cos I'm such a fatty. Has anyone had this done? Is it awful? Are there any risks?
