Can't bring myself to drag my mat clothes out of the loft yet but my jeans are uncomfortable if I wear them too long. I wear them out of the house and the second I'm home stick on jogging pants. Combined with my bad skin I look a right catch at the moment.

redandyellowandpinkandgreen · 17/02/2013 21:38

Somehow my fat has squished upwards so I look fatter above my belly button too. Makes looking good a bit of a challenge. After baby is born I'm going on the diet of my life.

andadietcoke · 17/02/2013 21:40

redandyellow I think this is happening to me too. Also to the spots. Hot.

I have the fat above the belly button thing too, and spots. Also hot flushes in the night - like sweat pouring out of me and skin prickly hot, then I need to throw up and have the window wide open to cool me down. I seriously can't wait to get this trimestre over with, I never felt this bad the last 2 times. 12 weeks on thurs! I hope some magical switch is flipped!

KamikazeeKid · 17/02/2013 22:25

Anyone else panicked at the thought that there isn't light at the end of the tunnel? 11 week scan this week just cant see this exhaustion and ms easing yet. I had evening ms until well into 5 months last time but I never felt this awful constantly ......
I was wiped out yesterday

Ok so the last couple of days I had been fretting as my symptoms seemed to ease away but today back to being sick, gagging & nausea! And now tonight I feel starving for the first time i want to eat had to get out if bed and get something,I hope this doesn't last or I will be the size of a house by the end of first trimester!

kimjayne · 18/02/2013 08:19

I had a little cry last night even my dh got home from work. It was uncontrollable and came from nowhere. I think it must have been a build up of anxiety, sickness and general tiredness. Dh was lovely and really calmed me down at the time. But this morning he's said I need to stop stressing and worrying. Doesn't he realise it's not that easy!? I can't just flick a switch to stop my anxiety! I know he's just trying to help but just got me really frustrated.
Sorry, rant over! Think im just super sensitive and hormonal at the min.
Roll on Saturday when il officially hit 12 weeks.

JammyTummy · 18/02/2013 10:07

Thank you juniper for Gap link- ordering some of their skinny jeanies! Super chuffed with the £11 buy!

I think my belly button is starting to look a bit weird...

Kittenkatzen · 18/02/2013 10:08

:( kimjayne hugs for you - are you feeling a bit brighter this morning? I think it is just really hard for men to understand - they don't have the raging hormones to contend with :)

Had a quick look at the link for the maternity wear sale, then scared myself and clicked it off! Confused I'm with whoever said upthread that maternity wear is on the "after the scan" list! Am fast outgrowing stuff though - I have one skirt, one dress and one pair of trousers that I can still fit in for work, and my jeans are no being held up by power of hairbands!

EmmaDee · 18/02/2013 10:08

Sorry everyone, been busy all weekend! Had an assignment to hand in today, got it sorted but my brain is mush!!!

Update: I've lost the poo crown again! Grr! But other than that all traditional symptoms have vanished, but every time I wake up I have a sore arm, it's really weird, never had it before I got preggers! And my knees are a bit odd, saw someone had said u need strong legs for birth? Why's that? Feel like my knees might pop out at the moment!!

fl0b0t · 18/02/2013 10:56

jemimah poor you- there is just no rhyme or reason is there? A good day or two, then bad days, up and down like a yoyo. I've been feeling crappy for a few days but not been sick, then this morning it started up again with a vengance :(

rosie I am also ridiculously puffed out. Bear in mind that before pregnancy/ sickness I'd happily cycle 40-50 miles at a time and walk 10+, and was easily getting 10-20 hours of exercise a week. I am now puffed out on the (very small) incline on the way to the shops with my husband. He's almost incredulous as we're used to a brisk 4mph pace and I'm now walking about 2.5, breathing heavily.

I read in a few places at by the end of the first trimester, 1/4 to a 1/3 of our blood supply is now going to the uterus so we're having to work extra hard to get oxygen to our muscles!

I have reached a whole 9 weeks today! And I'm (tentatively) back at work after three dull, vomity weeks on sick leave.trying to be positive about it (only got a 3 day week) but not really convincing myself!

TripleRock · 18/02/2013 11:16

Hi I hope everyone is ok, sorry i've not been on much.

Whilst i've had constant nausea I had my first proper puke this weekend at about 9 weeks! Actually felt nausea free for about 15 mins after, so it was quite a relief!

Now to catch up on the thread :)

frogchops · 18/02/2013 11:46

Morning fretters. I don't know why I accused everyone of fretting when I'm the biggest fretter going! Not much to report, (adding to fret scale!) have just been feeling full if gas.... Probably due to eating crap all weekend. Still can't see any pokey bits although I have a right belly! Strangely I have this belly without putting any weight on :-/ am 9+ 2 today, and the 2ww seems sooo easy compared to this wait!!

Eeeknumber3 · 18/02/2013 11:57

hi all, 9 weeks today and feel strangely better, although still knackered. Treated myself to proper cup of cafetiere coffee this morning, pure bliss, normally have a whole pot to myself in mornings when not preggers! On the clothing front, bought two pairs of Primark jeggings in black and grey at weekend for £7 per pair. They will do for this inbetween stage, as they are tres stretchy! They did have proper maternity jeans in Primark in Manchester too, they were £12 to £15 per pair, looked very nice, think they had some tops too...I didn't know they did maternity?

fl0b0t · 18/02/2013 12:17

Oooh I am looking forwards to buying maternity clothes- I've also got the potbelly with no weight gain/ inches gained... but to sick to go clothes shopping! Hope that fixes over the next few weeks otherwise I'll be going to work in my pajamas (hate clothes shopping online as nothing ever fits!)

kipsonline · 18/02/2013 12:22

Arghhhh. A (forthright) work colleague just took one look and me screamed 'are you pregnant??!!' Looking at me, it is blooming obvious but i cant believe she risked it, imagine if I'd said NO?! Luckily no one else was in the staff kitchen at the time...
12 week scan tomorrow but we fly to Switzerland on thurs so wasn't planning on telling work until our return next week...
Taking DH to see dirty dancing at theatre tonight as part if his 40th celebrations (also reason for Swiss trip to see his sis) so have something to take my mind off pre-scan nerves (this will be first glimpse at DC3 hopefully)

Pinkbump3 · 18/02/2013 12:56

Ok so just spoke to midwife and she says go up to unit tmrw they will do another pg test and then get all notes etc sorted. Suddenly I feel panicked that maybe I should do another pg test just to make sure the first one wasn't wrong? My symptoms are great one day awful the next and today is a good day no sickness or nausea and somehow I feel like a fraud I can't be pg and feel good?

MeanMrsMustard · 18/02/2013 13:30

Hi all.
Ive got my 12 week scan tomorrow. Feeling increasingly nervous! They said it would be the scan and an internal examination. Does anyone know what the internal will involve?
Well, dispite all the nerves and worry I'm feeling now, I can't believe the 9 weeks of waiting for my scan is nearly over. I guess, if all goes ok, there is about a weeks excitement and telling people, then another nervous wait till the 20 week scan...

andadietcoke · 18/02/2013 14:23

Bloody hell kips. I'm not sure what I'd say. I'd say the game at work is well and truly up (I think that three days not drinking in Munich did that as they know about my mc in November) but no one has said anything to me (or asked why I'm not in work tomorrow). Normally they're a nosy lot so this is odd behaviour!

Whyriskit · 18/02/2013 16:18

kips - I was talking to mum of a lad in DS1's class when we were at swimming recently. She's also pg with her third and out of nowhere she asked if I was pregnant. I was so Shock I just said that I was but it was early days!

Girraferama · 18/02/2013 17:17

I can't believe people are so upfront! I'm terrified to say anything even when someone is clearly due any minute!! I went to a new hairdressers this week and when I told her I was pregnant (only to try to excuse the state if my hair!) she said: "I knew you were, I just knew" I was really taken aback as I'm not showing, then she started going on about how she can tell just looking at someone and he'd told her friend she was pregnant before she'd even taken a test! Very weird!

Peabody25 · 18/02/2013 17:26

For those of you that have had private scans, which companies would you recommend? Just wanting some earlier reassurance as not having my 12 week scan for another 4 weeks!

Creamtea1 · 18/02/2013 17:32

I'm eating apple crumble and cream at 5.30pm, there's no hope for me is there? Sigh...
