WingDefence · 06/12/2012 17:24

Hello and welcome to another shiny fred for Just Shagging graduates!

The last fred was nice and busy so fingers crossed we get lots more members Grin

We've just moved over from the Shagged Out Viroids Volume 5 thread, where we finally found out that a 'viroid' is from the original JSing thread 1, where someone was trying to type ladies (in reference to all the JSing ladies), but their phone decided to call us all viroids instead!
The name stuck and we've been the JSing viroids ever since.

Our stats thread is here, so if you find us, please add your stats too.

There is also a Just Mumming thread for grads of the grads thread Confused Grin

And if you want to find out what Just Shagging is about or catch up with the undergrads go say hello to the Just Shaggers here, now on the 12th thread Thanks

Enjoy your Sunday lunch something!

Oh no tired - how has your DS been overnight? I'm still expecting The Bug to come back and bite us any day... Keep his fluids up if you can :(

tiredteddy · 16/12/2012 21:40

Few I think we escaped the bug after all. No more sick and then he admitted that when we had friends round on Saturday lunchtime he consumed 5 Mr Kipling apple pies which are very sugary and rich. It was just greed I think! Lesson learnt. ShockConfusedBlush

WingDefence · 17/12/2012 11:14

Phew tired!!

How are you all today? I'm chucking down here and is cold to boot. Great! Xmas Hmm

There are three churches in our village and it was the united Christmas carol service last night. So lovely and xmassy Xmas Smile I was in the joint choir, belting out the descants on the carols!

Did anyone watch SPOTY? Gosh wasn't it boring. I remember in years past I used to always look forward to it because it was on or around my birthday and they used to have funny bits e.g. I'm sure one year they had Steve Redgrave and his team-mates racing on rowing machines. Now it's so boring and they went on for far too long about the Olympics. Grumble grumble Xmas Wink

I voted for Wiggo though so was very happy to see him win!

Right, better get on. My big project is MEANT to be being released today (it was supposed to be last Friday) and I have some last minute bits to do so why I am on MN?

OP posts:
flyingsprocket · 17/12/2012 13:59

I watched SPOTY but mostly on fast forward. Hormones meant that I cried at most of the Olympic stuff & at the roll call of sports people who had passed away this year.

I agree it was nowhere near as interesting as previous years. Delighted wiggo won though! Did you see his wife's face when she realised he had to ankle another speech?!

ICompletelyKnowAboutGuineaPigs · 17/12/2012 14:00

Glad you managed to avoid the bug Tired - we thought we might have it in our house again last night as DD started being sick in the night. It was really strange though, not quite the violent sickiness of a bug and she was fine this morning I, however, am shattered due to sleeping in DDs bed who is incredibly fidgety!

Hope your launch goes well Wing and is not too stressful. I have been writing so far today day (story of my life) but have finished early to come and watch DS in his school nativity play. Then we've got to dash off to get him to a hospital appt - not sure how whether we'll manage it but ho hum.

I bought a pushchair for miniGuinea the other day. A M&P Mylo on plum pudding and raspberry ripple (very posh sounding isn't it!). They are on sale atm but looked on eBay before buying brand new and have managed to get one for £150 and they are nearly £600 new. It is in an amazing condition and I love finding bargains. Am wondering if I can persuade DD to go in it to try it out, not holding out much hope on that one though Grin .

Ooo and in other news, I realised on Saturday that we haven't received child benefit since July Shock , rang them up today and they had made a mistake processing our change of bank details so they are going to repay it within 9 days. An extra £650+ for baby shopping savings, yippee!

WingDefence · 17/12/2012 15:26

Wow that's a nice bonus just before xmas Guinea!

Project thingy has been finalised... Xmas Smile Not seen any evidence of it having been launched though... Xmas Angry so can't relax just yet. Have eaten a large slice of rocky road though Xmas Biscuit

Flying, yes Mrs Wiggo looked properly embarrassed! Have I told you lot before that he cycles around our area and comes to our village cafe?! I've not seen him yet though.

tiredteddy · 17/12/2012 15:52

Glad the project is finalised wing let us know when it's launched so we can toast you with online wine Wine!

Ooh happy shopping guinea what do you plan to get?

It was ds2 nativity this morning he was a very wriggly and cute little shepherd. Mum and dad came to watch too which was nice as they've been very reclusive since her op. my boys are out for tea so I am wrapping presents and watching crap daytime tv!

fryingpantoface · 17/12/2012 17:44

Hello everyone!

Well, another test taken and I'm not pregnant! Kinda mixed emotions, but the overriding one is relief. We're gonna talk again about having another baby in a few months, but we're both happy it's not happening.

tiredteddy · 17/12/2012 19:18

So did you think it was a chemical pregnancy then frying I'm glad that you are ok with the result you have and can plan when you do want ttc now.

somethingwittynot · 17/12/2012 21:02

Sorry to heart that frying but am glad your happy .

My DS took his first steps tonight!! Growing up to fast!!

fryingpantoface · 17/12/2012 21:17

I don't know tired to be honest. Quite possibly.

Ah something that's so cute! How old is he? Mine is 15 months and will walk holding your hand, but the minute you let go he just sits down. It's really irritating

somethingwittynot · 17/12/2012 21:29

Hes 11 months on christmas day it was a bit of a mad dash but he will get there Xmas Grin

WingDefence · 17/12/2012 21:39

Oh gosh frying I'm sorry I didn't see this earlier. I'm obviously glad that you're happy with the result but I'm sekretly gutted that you won't be staying on this fred Thanks and Wine for you!

something congrats! Life will never be the same again Xmas Grin

Well it looks like, in a massive anti-climax, my work was finalised and the hundreds of emails lined up in the system to go out overnight but I don't know whether they have as it's still not showing on my organisation's website (well, an incorrect version is which I am furious about but that's a WHOLE other story).

But I am taking tomorrow off for last bits of Xmas present shopping so I shall ignore all work rubbish for the day!

Ooh shiny new Fred.

tiredteddy · 18/12/2012 17:07

How was the shopping wing ?
Hi frustrated how are you?

I'm feeling rather sorry for myself. My hips/pelvis/pelvic floor are agony. Midwife said don't stand for too long or walk too far. That's impossible when DH needs the car and the boys need to go to school. It's a mile each way so 4 miles in total for the school run and I'm paying for it now Sad

FrustratedSycamoreSnowflake · 18/12/2012 19:23

Hi tired (and everyone else)
I'm okay, ms seems to be eventually passing (well the nausea has). Fx the bug has passed you by.

somethingwittynot · 18/12/2012 21:47

Hands and ankles are swelling have right rib pain and a headache. Keep going very dizzy to. Thankfully have mw tomorrow and just pray my bp and urine are ok

WingDefence · 19/12/2012 08:55

Oh gosh you poor ill ladies Xmas Sad

Well I think I'm on borrowed time re the sickness bug. We had a nativity in the pub last night (it was fab) and my friend who played guitar while I sang a song has had it all night so I'm stuffed! We're meant to be having an early Xmas day with my parents on Saturday so I'm praying I'm okay for that and Xmas day itself.

tired you will end up on crutches or bedridden if you're not careful. Can family or friends do the school run for you or give you a lift? It's not for long is it?

I'm on the train down to London for my Xmas party today. Should be fun even if I'm not drinking and am on the early 17:30 train home tonight!

OP posts:
FrustratedSycamoreSnowflake · 19/12/2012 09:50

Is it normal to have quite painful twinges if you've overdone things?
I over dif things a bit yesterday, so has a bit of round ligament pain last night and this morning, (and a little bit like trapped wind).
This morning I fell over in the mud carrying dc. (2hrs ago)

For the past half an hour or so, I've had a few twinges, that I can only compare to braxton hicks (but bump not going hard) or severe trapped wind. They are strong enough to make me stop what I'm doing.

What do you reckon?

16+5

ChildOfThe1980s · 19/12/2012 10:49

Frustrated I am 17+1 and have been noticing how I can't do as much walking any more (like Christmas shopping yesterday) without getting some pain and discomfort for a couple of hours afterwards. It's really annoying, but I haven't had to stop what I'm doing or anything.

Take care of yourself, and give your mw a call if you are at all worried.

somethingwittynot · 19/12/2012 14:21

So no protein and my bp is good yay :) she doesnt know where the baby is lying but at my last scan they were breech. If they dont turn i will have to have an elcs and only allowed to go a week overdue. Fundal height hasnt changed in 2 weeks

tiredteddy · 19/12/2012 19:50

I've written a post twice and it's not loaded up Angry

something I'm glad your check up went well and that you are doing ok.

frustrated I agree with child get checked if you are worried. I think our bodies let us know when we have overdone things.

wing I'm feeling much better today thanks for the advice. 2 days left until school hols and I'll have the car. It's annoying as I much prefer walking to school with the boys.

I spent the day going up to St George's for a check up. Got inflated a bit too to even out my size Wink and had some photos taken (topless! The closest i'll ever come to modelling) my consultant is very pleased with his work and uses the pics as teaching aids for medical students. It makes me giggle to think that students in London have seen my boobs BlushGrin

somethingwittynot · 19/12/2012 23:24

Ah just occured to me i have 10 weeks 6 days left at the most!!

ICompletelyKnowAboutGuineaPigs · 20/12/2012 09:56

Xmas Grin Tired - glad you're feeling better. We've I've been really lazy this week and have driven to school every day. It's not the walking there that bothers me, more the walking back up hill on my own - it seems such a trudge. After my op I had to have photos of my incision done and had to be photographed with no pants on - my surgeon is quite dishy and my nether regions really weren't 'tidy', I was soo Xmas Blush

DH found out this morning that he got the job he interviewed for recently ... hurray! Think I might cook him a nice meal or get a takeaway to celebrate.

Hope everyone else's aches and pains have eased. I certainly know when I've overdone it but I'm not sure anybody gets through pregnancy without some niggles, occupational hazard of motherhood I suppose.

Right...must get on with some work. I have a chapter to finish and send before the end of the day. If you see me on MN SHOUT at me!

wavesandsmilesatSanta · 20/12/2012 12:51

Hello everyone - been quiet for a while as I am suffering with pretty bad sickness and fainting. Bleurgh. Just keep holding onto the fact that lots of symptoms are a positive sign! Also very relieved that I am currently on annual leave - a whole 3 weeks of not having to disguise the nausea/vomiting/blacking out. Fingers are crossed that things will have calmed down by the time I return in January.

I am all booked in with the midwife, who is now referring me for the scan - hoping that will be early January, then we can share the news if all is well. DH is struggling a bit - he lost his first son at 38 weeks, and the booking in appt was on the same ward. I am giving him space today, and he is grouting the bathroom at the moment, whilst I attempt cleaning and gift-wrapping whilst making the odd dash to the toilet Blush

Hope everyone is a little more ready for Christmas than I am!
