Hello and welcome to another shiny fred for Just Shagging graduates!

The last fred was nice and busy so fingers crossed we get lots more members Grin

We've just moved over from the Shagged Out Viroids Volume 5 thread, where we finally found out that a 'viroid' is from the original JSing thread 1, where someone was trying to type ladies (in reference to all the JSing ladies), but their phone decided to call us all viroids instead!
The name stuck and we've been the JSing viroids ever since.

Our stats thread is here, so if you find us, please add your stats too.

There is also a Just Mumming thread for grads of the grads thread Confused Grin

And if you want to find out what Just Shagging is about or catch up with the undergrads go say hello to the Just Shaggers here, now on the 12th thread Thanks

Here's a link to the pattern and a better picture of the jumper. One thing I remarked to DM was the lady on the front of the pattern is barely showing whereas when I tried it on today I've already had to let the bottom out a couple of inches! It looks much nicer in reality than it does in this pic too Xmas Grin

So glad your day has improved wing and the jumper looks gorgeous! It's quite frosty here too very pretty. Am still being sick on and off and can now really only manage very small portions of food before the heartburn kicks in. Don't think Xmas dinner is going to be what I'm used too. Saw the Hobbit and I loved it! Ging out for drinks tonight with friends which will be nice just need to wake up a bit first!

ICompletelyKnowAboutGuineaPigs · 13/12/2012 20:42

Happy birthday Wing glad you've had a better day than you thought it might be. I love your jumper thinking of commissioning your mum to make me one

Glad you enjoyed The Hobbit Tired and hope you're awake enough for drinks Xmas Smile

Just watched Tangled with DD on our girls night...DS and DH out for the night. DD is such a daddy's girl she went to sleep muttering 'daddy' over and over again! Hope this one is a mummys girl, as I'm currently somewhere below DH, DS and the childminder Confused

Going to treat myself to a glass of Wine , a super sized bag of minstrels and Grey's Anatomy. Hope you're all having a good night.

MrsBri · 13/12/2012 21:04

Happy birthday, Wing...I'm so glad what looked like being a shitty day was actually rather lovely instead. :-) And what a lovely jumper too.

I've just finished off the online pre-Christmas Sainsbury's shop. I hope! Our flat will be rammed with party and snack food. Can't wait to eat myself into a food coma. And as I'll be in the second trimester, I have some 4% sparkling rose in the order, for if I fancy it just to toast Christmas. We shall see. I don't fancy alcohol at all right now, but it will wait if it has to!

Has anybody cooked goose before? A lovely local butcher is doing us a couple of breasts to save us buying an entire goose just for the 2 of us! Not entirely sure how to cook it nicely as we've not had it before, we just fancied something different.

Hope everyone is keeping nice and warm. It didn't get much above -5 in Birkenhead today. Brrrrrr.

Pineapple80 · 14/12/2012 08:33

Morning all!

wing so glad to hear you had a good birthday in the end! And how lovely of your DM to make that sweater for you, beautiful!

Are you all feeling a bit better? Sounds like a mix of colds going around and pg related sickness.

I had my 12 week scan today which included the NT testing. All looks well which we are so pleased about. My bloods for NT are still yet to come back though but the measurement we are told is looking fine too. The scan was in a lot of detail and got baby to flip of over for us and saw heart, brain, limbs, face & waving hands! It was amazing and I got it all on DVD as well which I have watched twice already since coming home Grin. Feeling really happy right now.

Have been out shopping for house things, which has been fun. Next task is for us to look for work so we can pay for it all!! Hopefully I can find something to pay the mortgage until baby comes along next year.

It really doesn't feel Christmassy for DH and I right now!! We did enjoy the cold festive feeling in the UK. Is everyone set with Xmas shopping now or still more to go?

Have a great Friday all and take care Smile

Pineapple80 · 14/12/2012 08:37

Mrsbri - I have only cooked a whole goose! I assume breasts wouldn't need cooking for long. Sounds lovely though - what will you cook to go along with it? I love to hear about all things food/cooking related Grin

WingDefence · 14/12/2012 09:26

Thanks all for the birthday wishes Xmas Smile

MrsBri I'm scared that apparently it's only 11 sleeps till Christmas and I've not done half my Christmas shopping yet, neither food nor presents and have a full weekend of activites planned (i.e. no time for shopping) so I'm starting to stress just a little bit. I did a big xmas online shop last year but I may just head to the supermarket in person this time round.

We will be having goose on Xmas day as DH prefers it but I have no idea how you cook it. Google is your friend though!

Pineapple that's fantastic that you had a great scan and I'm very Xmas Envy that you got a DVD too! I can imagine it doesn't feel Christmassy at all over there. I visited Oz back in 1999 (goodness I feel so old now) in the New Year and I remember seeing Christmas trees everywhere and it was just a bit odd, especially when cards etc still had robins and snowy scenes on them.

It looks like it all kicked off at my work yesterday so instead of getting my big project finished today it'll be hopefully probably better be Monday now.

Right, I've already done 45 mins work and i'm still in my pyjamas so next on my To Do list is to and dance around my bedroom while I get dressed Xmas Grin

MrsBri · 14/12/2012 09:30

Your scan sounds amazing, pineapple :-)

Good luck on the job hunt.

It'll be usual Christmas trimmings, so loads of veg, stuffing, pigs in blankets etc. Can't wait! :-) Oh, and roast potatoes cooked in goose fat. Almost drooling thinking about it!

WingDefence · 14/12/2012 09:41

I had a Christmas Turkey dinner yesterday lunchtime when we went out and it was brilliant. Got another one next Wednesday when I head down to London for my team xmas lunch and then next Saturday when we have my parents round for an early Christmas day.

I love turkey, but I'll be happy to have goose this year if I ever get round to buying the thing!

And yes, pineapple I second the best wishes on the job hunt. What will you be looking for?

OP posts:
ICompletelyKnowAboutGuineaPigs · 14/12/2012 15:03

That Mariah Carey song was playing when DD was born Wing it always brings back good memories.

We are going out to a local pub for a proper Christmas dinner on Christmas eve, so looking forward to it. Going to do a standard Sunday lunch on Christmas day as its just us four for the first time ever which is going to be wonderful.

The weather has turned from being cold but dry to persistant rain. It is so unpleasant. Going to take the kids to soft play for a runaround and tea when I've collected DS from school. Feel shattered and a bit grumpy today, hormones have got a lot to answer for.

MrsBri · 14/12/2012 16:37

I'm amazed that I'm relatively organised, Wing, except when it comes to sending the cards. I've failed somewhat there!

But I'm going the 170 miles home tonight to deliver presents, so I had extra focus as this was my only chance to deliver them as we aren't seeing my family at Christmas.

And we are telling my mum and dad tomorrow as we haven't seen them since the day after the wedding, which was a touch early.

Apparently I can do goose breasts like duck, so start them on the hob and finish them in the oven. Sounds like a plan. Hopefully the flavour is ducky too.

Guinea, I'm often grumpy :-/ Pregnancy hasn't exactly brought out the best in me!

tiredteddy · 14/12/2012 18:35

Exciting to be telling your parents mrsbri and well done with the organisation. I've never had goose before, let us know what it's like ?

guinea grumpy=hormones! Hot chocolate to make it better? I like the sound of soft play I should have thought of that for the boys as that is how they are treating the front room anyway Blush

wing how's DH today? And DS?

pineapple good luck for the job hunt! The scan you had sounds just lovely!

fryingpantoface · 14/12/2012 18:48

Just posted a long reply, but for some reason it didn't stick.

I've realised i'm excited about possibly having another baby. I can't tell DH because he's more cautious than I am about it all. I don't know how i will feel if the tests were a faulty batch, i'm scared about going through it all again, but would love to have another child.

This week is gonna drag! I called the DR who said they don't do blood tests, they'd just do another urine sample, which doesn't help me at all, but nevermind

tiredteddy · 14/12/2012 19:01

frying keep busy and maybe it will go quicker. Have you done one of those digital tests?

fryingpantoface · 14/12/2012 19:42

Yeah i did. Confusingly, it said not pregnant. Clear as mud. The early preg unit at hospital said they weren't as sensitive as first response. So will take another one in a couple of days

tiredteddy · 14/12/2012 19:51

Oh that does sound confusing! Yes wait a few days and try again. Fingers crossed for you Smile

somethingwittynot · 14/12/2012 21:04

This might help first response tests tend to pick up 10-12mlu of hcg. Clearblue digi only tend to pick up 50mlu+.

Had my 30 week scan today! Baby is well but breech. Had their hands and feet over their face and were sucking their leg. Roughly weighing 3lbs 3oz

fryingpantoface · 15/12/2012 10:56

Thank you!

Something that's so lovely :-) I remember when you told us back on the just shaggers thread you were pregnant. I'm getting all emotional now :)

Today i'm at work. It isn't fun. Sometimes working in a call centre sucks. Some of the calls i've had today are:

"I'm not happy you delivered at 7.15am, when you said my delivery slot is 7-11. You should have said 7.15 - 11" Hmm

"you've really messed me around. I need my blah blah (honestly, something stupid like wine cooler) today because i'm disabled"

On the other hand, i've bought my son (15 months) a gruffalo trunki for when we go to Saudi in January. I know he's a little young, but it's lovely. So i did it

WingDefence · 15/12/2012 20:10

A Gruffalo trunki sounds fab!

I've been at the Manchester Christmas Markets all day - they were amazing! I'm shattered now though - 6 hours of walking/standing with a quick half hour sit-down in the M&S cafe. I shall ache soon! DS was brilliant - he walked and stood exactly as long as we did and didn't moan once. Treats at certain times helped Xmas Grin

Managed to catch up on some Xmas shopping for DH too in the Arndale Centre. For those of you in the NW you must go to the markets before they shut on the 23rd! The one in front of the Town hall and the French and German markets were my fave.

Right, before I fall asleep on the sofa, I'd better go and hide DH's presents and then get on with typesetting the church notices for the morning. Yawn

OP posts:
WingDefence · 15/12/2012 20:13

Oh and those call centre customers sound terrible Flying. I worked in a bank when I was a student, answering calls from 'customers' and the stick I'd get from some people was amazing. Now if I'm wee upset with a company and have to call customer services, even if I'm spitting with anger I'll always say repeatedly that it's not the person in the call centre's fault when I'm ranting at them Xmas Blush

OP posts:
WingDefence · 15/12/2012 20:14

I have no idea where that cheeky 'wee' crept in my post above! Xmas Confused

OP posts:
ChildOfThe1980s · 15/12/2012 21:08

Frying hope you get a clear answer soon. It is hard to be pregnant so soon after a mc, but there's absolutely no reason why this baby (if you are pregnant) wouldn't be healthy. Were you planning on waiting a while before trying again?

somethingwittynot · 15/12/2012 21:44

Went to winter wonderland in hyde park today. It was crap. 2 hour wait to see santa?!

Ended up walking all over london pretty much! Had some nandos and got high speed home. Im knackered! My parents have invited us to lunch tomorrow and then are having DS for a bit yay Xmas Grin

Pineapple80 · 15/12/2012 22:05

something how lovely about your scan and baby sucking away at leg Smile. Pity Winter Wonderland was a disappointment! DH and I wanted to go before we left London but ran out of time. We usually go every year and love it but noticed it had become increasingly busier each

Very jealous hearing about Christmas markets etc! No such thing in Oz plus it's not the same being summer and all.

More house stuff shopping for us today.

tiredteddy · 15/12/2012 22:57

Oh no DS1 just been sick. I thought we'd avoided this bug!
