Hello and welcome to another shiny fred for Just Shagging graduates!

The last fred was nice and busy so fingers crossed we get lots more members Grin

We've just moved over from the Shagged Out Viroids Volume 5 thread, where we finally found out that a 'viroid' is from the original JSing thread 1, where someone was trying to type ladies (in reference to all the JSing ladies), but their phone decided to call us all viroids instead!
The name stuck and we've been the JSing viroids ever since.

Our stats thread is here, so if you find us, please add your stats too.

There is also a Just Mumming thread for grads of the grads thread Confused Grin

And if you want to find out what Just Shagging is about or catch up with the undergrads go say hello to the Just Shaggers here, now on the 12th thread Thanks

Xmas Shock that some of you are ready to pop. I remember you getting your bfps .

Hope everyone has a nice start to 2013, DS has been ill but seems to be better so hopefully we'll have a peaceful one!

Practising, now I'm pg after a mc I feel like I shouldn't bitch about how cack pregnancy can feel so I know what you mean!

Pineapple80 · 31/12/2012 12:21

Happy new year ladies! 40 mins to midnight here in Melbourne and we're sitting by the water waiting for fireworks to start. It is a pretty low key for us this year which suits me fine Grin.

Have a lovely day x

MrsBri · 31/12/2012 13:09

Happy new year to you, pineapple :-)

I know what you mean about not complaining about pregnancy symptoms as I'm so pleased to be pregnant. But my morning sickness has come back with a total vengeance today at 15+1 or +5, depending on if it is period date or scan date we go by.

Do you knowledgeable ladies think it is caused by the surge in growth about now? Or is it just sod's law. This morning was the closest I've been to throwing up on the train :-/

tiredteddy · 31/12/2012 14:57

Happy new year everyone! Grin

BelleEtLaBete · 31/12/2012 20:39

Got a lovely strong bfp today so I've come to wave at MrsBri, Wavesandsmiles and GaryBusey. And anyone else I've forgotten. And to anyone I don't know.

MrsBri · 31/12/2012 20:42

Hello Belle :-) I straddled the two threads, as it were, for a while (and, as you know, I still lurk on the other side too!).

Fx it all runs nice and smoothly for you.

WingDefence · 31/12/2012 22:06

Happy New Year to everyone! Grin

We're having a nice quiet one in, currently watching the 50 best Olympics moments on BBC3 - yes, we are very sad. I am having a nice glass of Wine though!

DS had a lovely birthday yesterday and we've had a lazy day today. Popped into Preston this morning and then spent the afternoon opening his various Xmas and birthday Lego kits and I had an hour's kip in bed

I treated myself to a Kenwood Chef in the Debenhams sale which I reckon is good timing for doing DS's birthday cake for his 'proper' birthday party on Saturday. I want to do a chocolate cake covered in smarties but never used a stand mixer before. Have any of you got one?!

And welcome to Belle too. You must have joined after I left the JSing fred so that must have been relatively quick going! Wink

Right, back to the boring TV...!

Hi Wing. Used to be DingDongBelle - but you're right, I did do a bit of a Kitten. Maybe I missed you. Might lurk here for a bit if that's ok?

WingDefence · 01/01/2013 09:51

Oh DingDongBelle rings a bell! Grin

I made it to halfway through watching the fireworks on BBC1 and went to bed. DS up normal time today and I feel half asleep still - a really foggy head.

Might go for a walk later in the soggy fields!

I had a nap and woke up in time to see the new year in :-)

Happy new year everyone...can't wait for our babies to make their appearance this year. So excited! :-)

tiredteddy · 01/01/2013 10:17

Happy new year everyone. It's actually quite nice not to have a hangover. It did have a little champagne to toast at midnight. We were at friends and had dinner, went for a walk and did fireworks and sparklers with all the children. Then watched Disneys Brave (so rock and roll) played games until midnight. It was actually perfect! Just got up after a lovely lie in.

Welcome and nice to meet you belle

ICompletelyKnowAboutGuineaPigs · 01/01/2013 13:22

Welcome Belle - what great news for the new year!

Happy new year all. Hope you all had lovely relaxing nights.

DH and I managed to not fall out! We played board games, JSd on the sofa and watched the fireworks with a glass of champagne Xmas Grin - much better than last year!

We are all having babies this year, it's very exciting! Can't decide what to do this afternoon. It's not raining so we might go for a walk but I got up with DD (in the night and first thing this morning) so have the energy of an ill slug (I imagine they have very little energy Xmas Hmm ). What do all you lovely ladies have planned today?

Pineapple80 · 01/01/2013 13:55

Sounds like good NYEs all round! Have a great first day of 2013! I'm also very excited about our babies due this year. Smile

Welcome Belle!

So I got a BFP yesterday and again this morning I'm not quite ready/confident enough to come and join you properly yet, but thought seeing as you're all lovely you might keep a little spot warm for me while I hover for a bit? Smile

MrsBri · 02/01/2013 08:03

Dysgu · 02/01/2013 08:24

Hi all, just checking in again as it has been ages since I posted although I do occasionally lurk.

This has been (emotionally) my hardest PG (is number three and all the extra tests due to age and previous preemies makes me think I have felt quite detached and more aware of the risks/struggles this one might go through). DP also seems less 'involved' than previous times but has really picked up recently.

Anyway, today I am 24 weeks which means the baby is now viable and so we are really going to start getting ready for it to arrive. It is not due until the end of April - and I keep saying that it might chose to stay put until May but we are probably/possibly looking at any time from the end of February.

So far we have bought nothing at all for this baby. We were going to stop at 2DC so gave most of our stuff away. I have just one a bundle of baby sleeping bags on ebay so that is the first purchase for this one. I need to make a list of what we need and should probably think about stuff for my hospital bag too (although I have never packed one before as DDs arrived before we got that far).

Today I am spending the morning at the hospital. I am 'taking part' in two studies to try to prevent premature births which means a morning of swabs (oral and vaginal), blood tests and then 'capsules to insert each evening at bedtime' until 34 weeks! (TMI - I cannot even insert tampons without applicator so not sure how I am going to manage - might have to get DP to assist!)

Anyway, hope all going well with everyone and hoping to be much more involved now that we have reached 24 weeks.

tiredteddy · 02/01/2013 09:05

dsygu that study at the hospital sounds really interesting. Are you glad to be taking part? Is it one of those things where there's a trial group and a group on placebos, or are you all on the the actual drugs? I hope it helps to cook your baby nicely. We are also on dc3 and I've found that I'm SO busy with boosted that its is much harder to get a moment to think about this one. DH and I were saying last night that we need to appreciate the bump for the next two weeks as its likely the last bump I'll ever have. My hospital bag is packed so I'm ready now at least practically. I think I'm actually feeling more nervous of the birth this time though. Maybe just the thought of labor or maybe the complicated logistics of plans for childcare etc. nice to hear from you x

Kittenkatzen · 02/01/2013 09:41

Thanks girls, it's lovely to (sort of) be here! :) very glad to see everyone is doing well over here!

yep gary this is cycle 9 for me....ertd is officially due today so we'll see - I have a feeling I'm going to be on frantic pant-watch for a good few weeks days! My boobs are definitely tender and feel heavier this morning though which I am taking as a good sign...

MrsBri · 02/01/2013 09:43

Ha ha, Kitten...I'm 16 weeks and still investigate my knickers / the loo roll ALL the time! I'm not sure it ever stops, to be honest.

I'm trying not to be too concerned, but the non-pregnant feeling part of the pregnancy is a bit weird (having not been pregnant before!).

You'll be just fine. And you're in great company with the ladies here too :-)

somethingwittynot · 02/01/2013 10:31

Congratulations and welcome to all the new grads!

Got checked last night cervix is incrediably soft and 1-2cm dilated but could stay this way for ever!

Kittenkatzen · 02/01/2013 11:35

16 weeks!! Shock You can't possibly be 16 weeks already!! Let's hope I can relax a little before then, I've already knicker checked 3 times in the last 2.5 hours! (nothing to report yet!)

Ooh something that sounds exciting - I can't believe you're all so far along, it only seems like a few weeks back that we were all JSing!
