kate2boysandabump · 08/12/2012 21:15

Sorry forgot to say pmgkt That sounds terrible, definitely get a second opinion and if necessary and third and fourth...

brooke89 · 08/12/2012 21:31

In labor ladies only 3cm contractions coming faster Ahhh wish me luck!

ISpyDingDongMerrilyOnHigh · 08/12/2012 21:31

Congratulations COD and welcome Keira Thanks.

Ooh Stacey - sounds like there'll be another LO on the thread v soon. Good luck.

Pmgk - how awful. Would add to the second opinion chorus - doesn't sound right at all to keep you waiting four weeks.

Kate - glad to hear you're feeling a bit better today and bless your DH.

Honey - I'm sure it's nothing personal! Think they all have a random bout of screaming at some point.

Hormonalhell · 08/12/2012 21:36

Very true Kate every time I wipe I'm looking for signs!!

SeymoreInOz · 08/12/2012 22:45

Good luck stacey hope this is it and baby beating induction.
I cannot believe how many babies we have already and it's 8 days in.
Sorry to moan but just had another great big cry about still being pregnant. I am literally concerned for my mental state. :'(

ellliebelle · 08/12/2012 23:00

cookies what is/was your due date? I feel very similar to how you describe but still have over 2 weeks till dd so feel a hit of a fraud feeling this way :(

Bellaboo123 · 08/12/2012 23:32

Congrats CODWine

Good luck brooke and stacey hopefully some more babies by the morning.

Walnut8 · 08/12/2012 23:39

Good luck Brooke!! Can't wait to hear your news! Ans Stacey, hope this is it!!

Big Congrats cod and lovely name!

Its very unfair so many early babies and only 9 December. I really feel for everyone still waiting to pop esp those with crazy symptoms. Cookie I think you and I had very similar things going on at the same time and I know how frustrating it was. It sometimes helped me to remember all the twinges are part of prep to make it easier (but usually I just felt anxious and shit so huge sympathies)

StaceymReadyForNumber3 · 09/12/2012 01:43

I would like to announce the speedy arrival of Ethan Timothy. Born at 10.40 pm weighing 7lb 4oz.

DH has just gone home and left us in a room in the birth centre as they had nowhere else to put us. I will give you all the gory details when they've finished their Obs on me :)

Afrodizzywonders · 09/12/2012 02:00

Congrats Stacey! And Cod xxx

Just logged on night feeding, great news!

SpottyTeacakes · 09/12/2012 02:13

Congratulations stacey Smile

afro I'm also up feeding yawn!

StaceymReadyForNumber3 · 09/12/2012 02:17

Right so while im laying here completely unable to sleep I might as well retell the birth story.

As I said earlier, after nothing all day had a major pain at 7.30 where I had to get up and sway, couldn't manage to sit. Had another couple of pains between then and 8 when I put the dcs to bed, warning them that we may not be there when they woke up. Then the contractions started coming thick and fast. Lasting between 30-60 seconds at 3 minutes apart. I phoned labour ward at 9 and was told to come into triage. By the time my mil arrived to look after dcs and we got to the hospital it was 9.45, they examined me almost straight away and marched me to labour ward. When the lady handed over to the midwife she told her I was 8cm! Shock

I had a lot of gas and air, they insisted on monitoring baby so I had to lay down which I hated. But it felt like within minutes I was ready to push. No idea how long I was pushing for, it felt like forever, but was prob no more than 10 mins. And then he was here! He was placed straight on my tummy. We were able to find out the sex ourselves and it was tbh wonderful. It hurt a lot but within minutes I was telling him he was worth every minute, from 14 months of ttc to a freaky 3hr 10min labour!

He's bf like a dream so far and is now snoozing in his crib. Although he's snuffling for a feed so I shall be off now. But ladies, however awful it is, they are sooo worth it!

yuletopian99 · 09/12/2012 02:38

Congratulations stacey and Ethan, and and COD, and fingers crossed brooke! Think there have been more since i last signed in but frazzled brain/phone combo do not permit total recall..

stacey your story sounds super, I suppose there's no chance of a first timer booking one like that? Grin

Walnut8 · 09/12/2012 02:39

Oh Stacey that made me teary Smile. Well done ! And I love the name.

Sat in hospital as baby sleeps waiting for dh to pick us up to go home. Amazing, it goes so quickly. Having a little tear too reading the horrible story of the nurse who died after that awful phone prank re kate middleton Sad.

CODwidow · 09/12/2012 03:28

Thank you everyone so so pleased with her Smile

Well woke yesterday morning and got up about 9am dh had cooked breakfast so sat and ate that and had a few mild ish pains throughout started to time and realised they were every 10 mins but expected all to go off again, told dh to take the eldest to football and I drove the others to their ice skating. Still felt that although painful it was manageable, anyway got home at 12:15ish and dh shortly after and I decided due to needing antibiotics I'd better at least come and check.

I was checked and was 5cm so took round to delivery and by 15:53 she was here. Grin she's feeding really well and hopefully we can go home tomorrow.

Congrats to everyone else, today was a busy baby day and fx to everyone else waiting.

2blessed · 09/12/2012 05:53

Congratulations stacey another fast delivery. I'm echoing yule's thoughts about us first timers... Smile

QueenoftheHolly · 09/12/2012 06:59

Thanks congratulations cod strawberry stacey and everyone else who's stupid pregnancy drive if a brain won't let me recall.

Huge FX for you Brooke that its all going well & as had hoped.

At 40+6 I am finally getting some VERY confusing symptoms. Yesterday evening an uncontrollable mini gush of my waters? (Enough to soak a pad) Or was it abit if wee? Blush at the time it felt nothing like a wee. Confused I think a few teeny trickles last night.

Terrible hard and increasingly painful BH in the evening, left me gasping but then totally stopped as I lay down in bed. One shocker at about 3am, then nothing since.
Confused
No show, no clearing out. No baby on the way yet??!!

Why can't they text us? It's probably the only way we'll communicate with them in future!!!

QueenoftheHolly · 09/12/2012 07:03

sieve of a brain!!!!
Actual proof Grin

Honeycantthinkofanxmasnickname · 09/12/2012 08:40
