Oh boy, that sounds miserable. I'm keeping everything crossed for you for the scan.

Racquel I'm so sorry things aren't looking good for you. Big hugs x

How is everyone else this freezing cold morning?

Grannyapple · 04/12/2012 08:28

boy everything crossed for you x

Sorry to hear of others going thru the mill too...raquel & bessie x

Not had actual sickness but lots of boaking & I start to feel ill & shivery if I don't eat evey 2 hrs!! I swear I feel worse than last time but not sure if that's because I now have a toddler in tow...& had MIL staying for a few days so had DS in with us....had to be the time he has a rough sleeping patch, doesn't it Hmm

Got booking in appt & nuchal scan date thru. Mw appt is 31/12...hope they don't overrun too much that day! Scan date is 11th jan, but we have our private scan booked for 15th dec....finally feels like it is getting nearer!

Might sill POAS....just to be sure Hmm

thinkingpositivethoughts · 04/12/2012 08:32

Raquel and boy thinking of you, be kind to yourself.

boy any news?

flyingsprocket · 04/12/2012 08:43

Grannyapple I'm exactly the same- get really cold & shivery if I don't eat every 2 hours. The only time I feel nauseous is when I stand up still for too long eg. in a queue or something, so I really feel for you guys with long commutes.

Thinking of you both raquel & boy

I haven't even heard back from the midwives for my booking appointment. As its my first it feels like its taking forever & my 12 week scan won't be til Jan (I'm 6 weeks today)

Won't add my name to the list until I've seen the midwife but I'm most like the very last July lady (oh & definitely not a member of the royal family!)

wifey6 · 04/12/2012 08:46

raquel boy bessie thinking of you all. Thanks X

BoyMeetsWorld · 04/12/2012 09:41

Just had scan...better than could have been. Confirmed not ectopic & we did see a little sac and yolk. Smile but...if dates are correct, it's way too small & no heartbeat. So it all hangs in the balance whether we've got the dates wrong.

On the flip side, if little bean does survive I guess I'll have to move from this thread anyway as it would make me due August. Will lurk until we find out more...

Good luck raquel and bessie

Camb79 · 04/12/2012 10:06

Hi again,

Kate is definitely a July-er: we found out mid nov and I'm due end of July, and the news and papers keep saying she found out last month, so she's at least the first week of July I think.

Had our scan, saw the heartbeat flickering, I'm a few days slightly earlier than I thought. Just so, so happy.

Of those of you who have more than one kid already, where do you stand on the pregnancy/gender thing - what I mean is, if you have two girls were the pregnancies identical re sickness and stuff, or if one of each, were they totally different or quite the same? I have a girl, and had no morning sickness; now, at 6 weeks, starting to feel this low lying nausea all day long for the last couple of days. So I'm wondering if it's a boy...

dinkystinky · 04/12/2012 10:52

Boy - sending you big hugs and hoping its a dating issue and you get to hop on the due in August thread. Hope you get to go home soon too.

Raquel and Bessie - hugs to you both.

Cheese - I had nosebleeds a plenty when I was pregnant with DS1 (not with DS2). Weirdly DS1 now suffers from nosebleeds alot. No idea if there is any link between the two.

Camb - I have 2 boys. Never had nausea with either pregnancy and they were really similar pregnancies (though I developed a worrying tendency for haribo when pregnant with ds2 - it seems to be starting to develop in this pregnancy too). SIL was sick as a dog through her pregnancy with her DD - no idea if she would have been the same way if she was pregnant with a son though.

SundaySunshine - LOL at your lurking stretchmarks. Yes, the 13th does seem a long way away, but I have to keep reminding myself its only next week!

I'm taking DS1 and DS2 to Harrods to see Santa tonight - late night on a school night for them (DS2 is 3 and a half so will be sleepy and cranky by the time he sees Santa, DS1 is 6 and a half and v excited). May take them to the disney pop up cafe for a special festive icecream sundae too.

wifey6 · 04/12/2012 11:43

Big yes to the rage. Angry
Really feeling it the last few days & I then worry how it affects the baby.

MightBeMad · 04/12/2012 12:05

Anyone heard any news from Bessie since yesterday?

wifey6 · 04/12/2012 12:23

mightbemad...keep checking in to check but haven't seen anything. Really hope she is ok.

Can I ask if anyone's symptoms have changed at 9 weeks?

ArkadyRose · 04/12/2012 12:57

Camb79 My first three are all girls, and the ms went exactly the same way with all of them - no real queasiness until about 6pm, - but couldn't keep anything down after 7pm. With this one I feel sick from the moment I wake up; it wears off a bit by midday - enough to face eating something - then comes back in the evening, though not with the non-stop puking I had with the girls. It's bad enough in the mornings that I've actually had to ask my OH to take our daughter to school because I was afraid if I got up it would be chunder city! So it may well be that this one's a boy.

Funnily enough, with the first three I had no problems coming up with girl names but really struggled to think of boys' names; with this one I know what I'll call a boy but still struggling to settle on a girl's name.

Every Chinese gender predictor I've tried says I'm having a boy too, so we shall see! Not that I put any store by that, but it'll be amusing if it turns out correct. Not sure I'll know what to do with a boy though, after always having girls; we seem to have problems carrying boys in our family so really it's all been girls. I'm the eldest of 4, only one of whom was a boy; his wife has only had girls, my youngest sister only has girls, and I'm all girls thus far. There's a lot of pink hand-me-down baby stuff in the family, very little blue! My parents are going to go completely gaga if I give them their only grandson....

MightBeMad · 04/12/2012 14:09

Wifey I'm not there yet (7 weeks today!) Grin but if I remember from last time, yes the placenta starts to kick in around then and symptoms can change. The relief was only short-lived for me though as it came back with a vengeance 12-16 weeks Wink. I think there's been a recent thread or two on the pg board about the same thing if you have a search.

wifey6 · 04/12/2012 14:14

MightBeMad...thank you. I will have a search.

Thinkingof4 · 04/12/2012 14:24

boy andraquel good luck with the repeat scans.
Bessie I hope things are ok Flowers

With regards to pg symptoms I have 3 boys and was really sick with each of them, but have only had nausea this time. Maybe a girl, who knows

esme80 · 04/12/2012 14:29

Was going to post earlier today but got sidetracked googling chinese gender predictors! Which say im having a boy.

Im 10 weeks tomorrow, and have been feeling a lot better the last 2 days. Hoping it lasts... I was having 24 hour nausea, unable to eat anying but cream crackers. Now I just feel nauseous if I dont eat often enough. So enjoying getting proper food in me! Had subway sandwich for lunch, then pain au chocolat. Fancying anpther... Hmm, better go swimming tomorrow if this is new trend...

Oh, and Christopher Maloney brings out my rage...

LittleFlower888 · 04/12/2012 15:31

Newbies yes you lot, copy, paste and add yourself in, in date order please. I have witnesses to vouch for my itch if someone just randomly shoves them selves in the wrong place, did I mention I have the rage

Hi All,

So nice to hear others dealing with the same issues!

I'm not angry, but that's only because I'm struggling to stay awake! Lol!

Everything seems much harder 2nd time, as I have a VERY active 3year old to chase!

Xx

dinkystinky · 04/12/2012 15:51

Chinese predictor thingies think I'm having a girl this time round - given this pregnancy is identical to my pregnancies with DS1 and DS2 (the chinese predictor thingies predicted girls then) I'm pretty sure I'm having a boy!

wifey6 · 04/12/2012 16:17

Used the Chinese predictor test as well - it says I'm having a boy.
Only time will tell Smile

Quinandthem · 04/12/2012 16:55

don't log on for a few days and there is a new thread and 9 pages already.

fingers crossed for raquel, boy and bessie

i've just reached 10+ 4, i'm feeling really positive in myself but my lack of symptoms (apart from + test, big boobs and lack of period) is making my current fear MMC. Last time i had a MC at 8 wks, and whilst it obviously wasn't nice and wouldn't want to go through it again - at least mine happened quickly. i couldn't imagine how bad it would be to not found out till the 12 wk scan. But now we are so near to 12 wks i'm going to try and keep my irrational fear in check. just so much waiting...

When i spoke to OH, his fear was something showing up wrong on the scan, but for some reason that isn't a worry for me?

we can only come up with girls names, infact have decided already, our boy selection isn't good.

TheQueensChristmasDinner · 04/12/2012 17:22

Hi everyone! I'm 9+2 with DC5 and very fashionably, am currently dying from hyperemesis. Wasn't sure if there would be a July thread yet - can't believe this is the second one! Have added myself to the list. Hope everyone's keeping well. Smile

Thinking of you raquel, boy and bessie

I got a letter this morning. My midwife has worked her magic and I'll be having my dating scan early. It's next friday so I'll be 11+4. I'm not having the nuchal fold measured, has anyone else decided yet?

I've got 3 boys and each pregnancy was different. I think this one will be a boy as the others have been and I read somewhere that if you have pregnancies less than a year apart they are more likely to be the same sex. Mind you I also read that planned babies are more likely to be boys and unplanned more likely to be girls. The boys were all planned and this one not so you never know. DS1 keeps nagging me for a baby sister but I think given the choice I'd rather have a boy. I prefer the boys name we have picked and I want to reuse all the gorgeous baby clothes.

mysterymeg · 04/12/2012 18:41

Haven't added myself onto list yet as too scared Xmas Sad been having bits of brown spotting since Saturday.

idwife is being reassuring as I'm not in pain and it looks like old blood but still panicking after two mcs in the past.

ad scan at 6+2 and baby was fine with good heartbeat. May get sent for scan in next couple of days. Has anyone had this kind of browny discharge and baby been ok?
