Guavasforbreakfast · 06/12/2012 21:28

And also, mine started when I turned in bed too, as did a friend at work, maybe a pattern!

Cutandstick · 07/12/2012 07:17

Delightful new habit this week - whilst coughing throwing up and hand covering mouth sending it in every direction. PJs and dressing gown covered again this morning. I need a tumble drier!!! Sorry for TMI, Blush but who else am I going to tell?! DP very sensitive about these things... Looking forward to effect of nappies on him! Grin

wifey6 · 07/12/2012 07:30

Guavas....thank you. Just felt so daft but as my DM reminded me..it's natural to feel scared after what happened.
Completely agree about wishing we'd found out about 12 weeks...the waiting is so hard. I took a HPT before I was 4 weeks & got a BFP so feel like I have known for ages!
Thank goodness for this thread & you lovelies. Envy

chocolateteabag · 07/12/2012 07:32

Oh cut your DP will get a rude awakening soon! Babies can fire poo out with some force! Lost count of the number of times DS managed to get it to squirt out up the back, sides, legs , front etc.
(Changing mat in the bath is the best way to deal with it)

I am off to have a blood test this morning after calling my GP yesterday, just to check I am immune to chickenpox still. DS is now covered in little spots, but can't be hurting him as he's singing to himself in his cot at the moment bless!

flyingsprocket · 07/12/2012 07:34

Great news photographer & cut

I'm also getting a bit spotty round the jaw. I usually get a single Pre menstrual spot on my chin every month but this is a bit different.

Currently on a trip away & as DP is sampling the city's famous beers I'm having to stick with the alcohol free version Sad

MightBeMad · 07/12/2012 08:25

Wifey and others - please don't worry about funny twinges - they are actually a really good sign! Your body has to change and stretch so much to accommodate your growing bean, it's not surprising you can feel odd sensations fom time to time! I'm fretting here because I don't have as many funny pains as last time, but I'm figuring that having done the stretching thing once before my body isn't putting up as much resistance this time around! I have however had those sharp pains on one side when turning in bed. Very very common!! No idea what causes it but I've heard various theories from ligaments to there being a small cyst on the overy that released the egg (which remains quite active for a while producing all sorts of the early pg hormones) which can be a bit sore. No idea what the truth is but it all sounds plausible. Pg is such a strange thing or your body to go though!

Chocolate good luck with the blood test. Hope it shows good antibodies. I think most people get lifelong immunity so chances are your be fine. Hope ds gets well soon x

cut sorry the ms is so awful!

Good luck to orange and all the others having scans today!!!

missmaybe · 07/12/2012 09:00

Oof, I was getting all worried about my symptoms disappearing... but felt sick as a dog all night! The nausea is definitely back in full force! I've decided to feel pleased about this... which seems a bit odd for feeling so queasy :) but it is reassuring somehow :)

missmaybe · 07/12/2012 09:01

Good luck orange and anyone else having a scan today!

dinkystinky · 07/12/2012 09:35

Guavas - glad you had a good scan! Good luck Orange, AmelieRose and anyuone else having a scan today and good luck for the blood test Chocolate. Hope your DS isnt suffering too much.

Wifey - I agree with MightbeMad. The twinges are all to do with your body changing.

Cut - sorry about the barf/cough symptom. Doesnt sound like much fun at all. Though I agree your DH is in for a shock with a baby as they produce alot - from both ends! My top top tip for anyone expecting a baby is to have a very good washing machine and a tumble drier (if baby due in winter months) - it amazed me how our laundry suddenly doubled overnight when DS1 and DS2 were born!

OhGood · 07/12/2012 11:00

Hi all bodice how are you and is there any news?

I am a bit of a lurker at the mo and sorry not to keep up with the thread but work and the commute mean I get home at 8 and go to bed at 9 (yes I am still moaning about work and the commute.) Just wanted to check in.

We're doing Xmas decs this weekend - will keep mind off ms which is stil repulsive and worse at night like you wifey so when I need to wake up to pee that's me awake for a couple of hours! Soooo annnoying.

orangebubbles · 07/12/2012 13:42

orange bubbles jnr measuring bang on for dates and nice strong heartbeat! Feel very relieved!

Awaiting as much good news from everyone else's scans today.

Will try and catch up later. Went to bed at 8pm last night and didn't wake up until 5am when DD woke up! It was such a lovely sleep.

dinkystinky · 07/12/2012 13:48

Glad you had a good scan Orangebubbles - and a good nights sleep too!

wifey6 · 07/12/2012 13:49

orange...that's great news. Smile

wifey6 · 07/12/2012 14:34

My DS has just jumping on the sofa & has caught me in the stomach with both feet Sad I'm now really worried
Baby is well protected though isn't it?

dinkystinky · 07/12/2012 15:09

The baby is very well protected in there Wifey. Call your midwife if you feel any pain/cramping etc.

MightBeMad · 07/12/2012 16:15

Congratulations orange!!

Wifey don't worry, baby v well cushioned!

Good scan news here. Bean measuring right for dates and good heartbeat Grin. On the other hand, my comment this morning was somewhat prophetic. Baby measures 14mm, corpus luteal cyst on right ovary measures 31mm Shock but is apparently nothing to worry about.

Hope other scanners have had a good day?

AmelieRose · 07/12/2012 16:16

Hi everyone. I've been for my scan and apparently I'm only 5 1/2 weeks, not 7 1/2 as I thought. Have no idea with how that works out with dates etc, but there it is.

As it was so early there's no heartbeat but there was a fatal sac and a yolk sac (found through a vaginal ultrasound). Am booked in a week on Monday for another scan to check how things are going.

That means I'll probably be due in early August now if things continue to progress, so I've removed myself from the list below.

Hope everyone with scans today got the news they were hoping for. I'll be lurking still! Smile

Good luck for your next scan Amelie - fingers crossed baby will be much bigger by 6.5 weeks and a lot more to see x

AmelieRose · 07/12/2012 16:47

A fatal sac?! There's a Freudian slip right there! Fetal. Too early for baby brain? Grin

AmelieRose · 07/12/2012 16:48

And thanks MightBeMad. Lovely to have so much support on here Smile

Guavasforbreakfast · 07/12/2012 17:12

Good luck Amelie, mine was a week behind so hopefully we both just ovulated later!

Congrats orange, it's so wonderful the moment when they say it's fine, never had such happy tears :-)

Wifey I was actually worrying about how hard they press with the ultrasound thingy (no idea what it's called!Blush), actually really hurt (prob due to my bladder being ready to burst) but they said it's well protected in there:-)

dinkystinky · 07/12/2012 17:18

Glad all good with your scans Mightbemad and AmelieRose. My best friend just texted me to say shes 4 and a half weeks pregnant - am so delighted for her as they've been ttc for ages and are going through ivf.

Guavasforbreakfast · 07/12/2012 17:24

TheQueens I just spotted you're on #5 - I'm one of 5 and it was fab growing up - we were like a self contained unit Smile
11 years between me and the youngest so I learned to change nappies before joining high school Grin

Good to hear about all the good news from scans.

After my whinge on wednesday about lack of sickness, yesterday I threw up 18 times, my personal best for this pregnancy!
