Hello ladies. Anyone remember me?! Over a month after we moved house and our internet finaly caught us up today.
Hope everyone is doing well. Have read over the last couple of pages but really, can't catch up properly. Hope everyone is OK. Very pleased to see your little one has stayed put so far Zoey, Kept wondering if you'd made it to the 30 week mark!
Well, we're pretty settled in the new house, but still have a lot of serious furniture shopping to do, and need curtains pretty much everywhere. Not quite sure when buying all this stuff will happen but it better be soon! And we still need to get a pram too.
Bump seems fine, wriggles and kicks getting pretty un comfortable damn painful and braxton hicks whenever I bend over, walk much, or start moving from stationary!
Re breast feeding, it can sometimes be hard, and so I think some woman may be surprised how determind they have to be to stick at it. I was in a lot of pain feeding DS until he was about 12 or 13 weeks, but I got thrush which refused to shift which I think was the majority of our problems. Personally I didn't want formula in the house 'just in case' because it would be too tempting to just use it than to face the excrutiating pain feeding was, and I was bloody minded about breast feeding, but that's just me! A big part of it for me was that I didn't want DS to have any cows milk in any form until 1 year old due to family significant history of extreem asthma. We got there in the end and I'm very glad we did. For anyone worrying about the first few days, if your LO (like my DS) won't feed at first your much better of hand expressing when it's still colostrum. You'd just loose it all in a pump.
