Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
SpottyTeacakes · 13/11/2012 17:47

My last induction was ten hours I was straight on the drip in labour ward! Hoping it can be a bit calmer this time. Should get a date tomorrow sweeps will be starting at 37 weeks apparently. We will see!

Clarella · 13/11/2012 17:48

Mummy - sorry - are we supposed to be drinking sperm now???

AlisonDB · 13/11/2012 18:06

Hahaha Clarella!
Drinking sperm, hahahaha
my DH said to me quite early on in this preg that he'd read somewhere that injecting Sperm was a cure for morning sickness, to which I promptly vomited all over the place!
He didnt suggest it again!!! Lol

(Think these are myths created by men)

Bellaboo123 · 13/11/2012 18:44

I'm not telling dp that!!! He'll love that one!

stacey that's poo! Fingers crossed you'll get some more info soon and it'll all become clear!

Well I had my scan today and LO has turned and is no longer breech -yay!!! Not engaged yet though so I'm bouncing on my ball as I type...

Starting to get a bit constipated lately...have been fine all along!

Just posted a pic of my bump excuse the pjs!

SpottyTeacakes · 13/11/2012 19:04

Great news Bella! Envy at your bump

pmgkt · 13/11/2012 19:19

Such a neat bump.

Cookiesandcoffee · 13/11/2012 19:32

bella your bump is so neat, very Envy
I really am huge I swear

EggsMichelle · 13/11/2012 19:47

Daydream my hospital hires out tens machines, they appear to be very into alternative pain reliefs, and only £15!

Exactly how much sperm are we expected to ingest? I'm not sure if I'm quite that desperate Confused

[Bella] yay for rotating, my MW is all for bouncing on the ball to get baby into position, I've bought a ball today, and as soon as DH pumps it up, I will be bouncing away!

Had a lovely day with my grandma, discovered the 86yr old had better mobility and speed than me, very amusing. Then feeling brave I tried to walk the dog, which ended with me covered in mud paw prints, and the dog looking rather sheepish after a good telling off!

Bellaboo123 · 13/11/2012 19:47

Ahhh thanks you lot - are you sure you're looking at 36w photo!!! Wink

My bump is rock hard and has been all day...anyone else experience this?

SpottyTeacakes · 13/11/2012 19:54

Bella mines like that on and off everyday. Sometimes more than others. That's the braxton hicks. I've got period type pains again been getting them most nights now.

PurplePidjin · 13/11/2012 20:06

^^ What Spotty said!

Bellaboo123 · 13/11/2012 20:25

I'm useless I haven't got a clue what in looking for! When the MW examined me today I was apparently having a tightening and there's me oblivious!

Mmm lobster salad on master chef...!!!

SpottyTeacakes · 13/11/2012 20:29

Mmmm Michel Roux Jr Blush

brooke89 · 13/11/2012 20:34

Lovely bump Bella, I haven't a clue either re bh but do get a rock hard bump every now and then!

Stacy, start a thread and hopefully someone with lots of knowledge and experience can help you and make you feel more reassured.

Laughing Clarella at the drinking sperm... In my case if only hahaha although DP has finished reading my 6 page letter and is very apologetic. I think it has worked, he's said he's substituted sex with porn and is going to stop Grin fingers crossed it works!

pmgkt · 13/11/2012 20:43

ditto on the hard as rock bumps. i also keep having a new pain very low down. at 33 weeks im not looking for proper labour pains and dont think its anything like that but on saturday night they did keep me away and came when the tightnings came, along with period pains - i was thinking oh dear a bit early yet but then it stopped again. evenings seem to be worst or is that just because i have time to sit and feel it rather than running around after a 2 year old.

Bellaboo123 · 13/11/2012 20:45

That's good news brooke Smile

ISpyPlumPie · 13/11/2012 20:50

Great news Brooke.

I'm another one with a rock hard bump lots of the time. Also didn't realise how bad the weetractions were getting until DS said "why are you saying Aargh Mummy?" Hadn't noticed I was Blush.

StaceymReadyForNumber3 · 13/11/2012 21:00

Thanks for all the support guys you lot are great. I shall prob start a thread after my meetings on thurs. I think I shouldn't go with pre conceived ideas of what going to happen.

Clarella · 13/11/2012 21:41

Injecting sperm????!!!

Great news brooke, hope you both get back on track.

Good stuff too bella!

Somedays my bump is so hard it aches the next day, seems to be if im charging about or very busy. Dont like it as makes movement harder to track. Last few days its been getting even more solid and i can see the whole outline of my uterus up to my sternum (sp?), and somehow i have skinny ribs showing through, its really quite freaky as theres weird hollows below my boobs where the ribs meet my uterus but ive put on a good 2 stone. Mw said this is all baby as she prodded it today which has worried me a tad. Weighing up all the measurement ests agsinst the growth scan at 30 wks both are pointing to 7 and half lb though which'll do thankyou! (Head blissfully in sand)

Secondsop · 13/11/2012 22:05

stacey tough luck re the gestational diabetes. Hope you get some good information at your next appointment. It's not long now though for you to have to manage it, and I've found that the diabetes nurses have been lovely and helpful ( the dietician less so, but that's another story). It should though mean that you get to meet your baby a bit sooner.

I've realised that if I'm induced at 37 weeks (not beyond the realms of possibility), that is NEXT WEEK.

WillYouDoTheFandango · 13/11/2012 22:10

Stacey that's probably a good idea. When I went I was very quickly bundled through and as you're rushing around going from person to person you can get a bit flustered.

Over the next couple of days make a note of any questions you want to know the answers to and take it with you. I went in determined to get answers to my questions (will I be induced, when, can i have a water birth, will I require continuous monitoring, will I have to labour on my back, can I breast feed?) and when they said any questions I froze, squeaked no and kicked myself later.

You may be a bit more bolshy than me but a list will make sure you don't forget anything. As you're already almost 36 weeks these questions are a lot more pressing for you and will help put your mind at ease

Secondsop · 13/11/2012 22:14

Oh great news brooke.

Secondsop · 13/11/2012 22:14
